[Stiles might be smitten, though whether it's towards the girl or the dragon has yet to be determined.]
If you're asking if I've read about it anywhere, no. This isn't like any of the Nordic myths I'm used to. None of them took people and used them as crayons. The gods are familiar, and I'm sure you've heard of a few yourself [He knows you're not dumb, Lydia.], but the whole set up is completely different
Hey, wait... If you're in here then you have one of the Odin abilities too. Wait, what'd you get? Fire or ice?
no subject
What set up? Them taking people? Because I'm sure that's normal. [ Or at least it happens - people get kidnapped. For this? She doesn't know. But she does know some god stuff just... not all the details, obviously ]
And what? [ She vaguely recalls that person saying something about it but that had gone past her - she'd been too baffled by the rest of it first ] Now what are you talking about?
no subject
The taking people part seems kind of normal, but them taking people from a whole bunch of different realities and shoving them together and making them go fight or do things? That's not in any book I've read.
[He grinned at her, glad for an opportunity to show off.] The abilities. The, uh, ones your 'patron god' gave you. If you're in this house, you get either fire or ice from what I've seen. I got fire. See?
[From his calamitous and drunken attempt, Stiles had decided he needed a little control over something so potentially dangerous, so he'd sat himself in the bathtub and practiced this little trick. It wasn't much in terms of how far he could go, but it was something.
He held his hand up, forefinger pointed. The now-familiar tingle in his chest started and after a second, a flame was dancing on the tip of his finger. A small, innocuous flame, flickering in the draft that moved along the hall.] How cool is that?
no subject
When Stiles explained Lydia wasn't 100% certain that she got it - she knew what he was saying but it wasn't possible, or real. Gods might be gods but people couldn't just do this.
Although apparently, after his demonstration proving so, Stiles could. And of course he thought it was cool. Lydia, on the other hand, wasn't certain what she felt about it ] That is not possible. [ Although dragons and actual gods and being brought somewhere like this also wasn't possible ] I'm dreaming. I don't know why you'd be in it or how I'd dream of this but I have to be.
no subject
Hey, I know it seems... well, it is really messed up and off the scale of weird that we're used to, but it is what it is, Lydia. You're not dreaming.
[He tried to squelch the small prick to his ego that she'd have to state that he was never in any of her dreams.]
no subject
How? [ If he thought it was real she would challenge that - she wanted to know ] How is it real? Explain it.
no subject
[He looked down, muttering that more to himself, hands finding the comfort of his pockets.]
no subject
So instead she's going with: ] Derek's here and you nearly set him on fire. [ They might have covered the Derek being here part but it needed repeating. And there's a tiny part of her going 'go Stiles' but... remind her of this story another time when it's all sunk in, maybe she'll say it ]
And I'm supposed to have one of these things. [ If Stiles looks back up he might be able to see the cogs working as Lydia runs through everything. Her brain her can deal with it (right?) ] I hope it's not that one.
no subject
[And yet he had, but to be fair, he was shitfaced at the time. All bad decisions can be traced back to someone being drunk. Or insane. Stiles had been the former. Mostly.]
no subject
How would I find out? Not that I want it. [ Or will use it. Although that will change when she figures out the situation and figures that if she has it, can use it and maybe protect herself? She'll do it ]
no subject
no subject
I'll have to see what happens.
[ In private, obviously. She wants to figure this out first before anything else ]
How long have you been here, exactly? I'd like to hope you weren't completely okay with this in the first minute.
no subject
I, uh, was a little more okay with it when I found out Scott was here.
[Bros for life, okay?]
Not so much when I found out about Derek and Isaac. But I haven't been here much longer than you. Uh, this time, anyway. Scott and Derek told me I've been here before, but I don't remember that.
no subject
Derek has that effect on people. [ Isaac too, but it's Derek ]
That's weird. [ And new. Being here before and sent back? ] Why did they stay if you left? Unless they left and were brought back and for some reason you lost your memories. [ Shame Derek couldn't lose his, or be here alone ]

Derek bit her? [ It's said slowly. She wants to make sure that she heard it right, that she understood it and... Lydia still can't 100% comprehend what happened to her, other than knowing she was attacked, and she's sure that being bitten was in there but to hear that it happened to someone else? (And someone else that she's 75% certain she's not sure who they are...) She wants it running by her again, just to confirm ]
And great. As if I wasn't already confused beforehand. [ Because there'd been some strange break-in at Scott's that no one would tell her about then, and then Derek and his strange group were outside beaten up and... what party? She hadn't had one recently, unless it was last years, and the same went for summer ]
no subject
Uh, Lydia? What's the last thing you remember before being brought here? [Because he'd actually been okay with her being in the know in terms of the whole werewolf thing going on. It had felt like he'd had someone not neck deep in it to talk to.]
no subject
Derek was outside. [ And Erica, Isaac and Boyd but if he remembered then he'd know that ]
It wasn't a break in, was it? Not a normal one, anyway.
no subject
[He feels deflated when she says that. She's way behind in the grand scheme of things. Oh, oh hell. He doesn't want to be the one to tell her her boyfriend was a giant lizard man who went around killing people. Nope, he's going to keep his mouth shut on that one.
Ten points to House Odin, everyone, for the first sign of actual intelligence being shown on behalf of Stiles Stilinski.]
Um, no. But... it all got sorted out in the end and everyone lived happily ever after. Say, have you tried the slide yet?
[Stiles; master of distractions.]
no subject
What aren't you telling me?
[ And she does not plan on budging. That was a nice attempt with the slide, Stiles, but she doesn't want a secret. That night at Scott's felt weird enough, especially with Jackson somehow disappearing and Derek's 'little friends' being laid outside, and with Derek there, so she really wants that answer ]
And don't say nothing.
no subject
[He smiled at her, stepping backwards towards the slide.]
It really is a cool slide. It starts at the top and you can take it to each floor or all the way down. You should totally try it.
[Like he was about to, see?]
no subject
Stiles.
[ It's sharp, with a hint of annoyance. A hint that drips through her next sentence ]
I'm already in a weird place with weird things going on. I don't like things being kept from me.
no subject
Not to you.
no subject
Promise me something, then. [ It might be related, and she might be hoping that Stiles agrees simply because it's her rather than asking what it is ]
