In this twilight, how dare you speak of grace
Who: Isaac and Jackson || Isaac and Derek || Isaac and Sophie
What: Isaac's three modes are: fighting, realtalks, and crying. So. Isaac stirs up a lot of shit everywhere because he's Isaac. Brawling with Jackson, talking about heavy stuff in the future with Derek, and most likely just breaking down on Sophie. Good times.
When: 293 || 294 || evening of 294
Where: On the streets || Derek's place in Thor || Sophie's place
Rating: PG-15 or so? Fighting and talk of death
Three threads in one post so it doesn't get spammy. :)

which means another free fist for isaac to punch him with, and jackson goes for the same approach as before: hit isaac in the face before he can rally enough to return the favor. jackson's balance is still fine, and he's got that to his advantage - if he can just keep isaac off his. ]

It still hurts though, and Isaac is fairly sure that his lip has just split further but the quick second that follows is enough to get him back fully on his feet with tightened fists. It's here that Isaac tries to return the favor in kind and aims a punch square for Jackson's face. While, you know, leaving the rest of himself unguarded because he's really not great at keeping his head and remembering the forms that Sophie taught him.]

he's healed fully from that warm welcome isaac offered him when he first showed up, but there's still a trace of blood on his upper lip when he turns a furious look towards isaac. his nose isn't broken (thank god; talk about things that would piss him off), but it's the thought that counts, and he doesn't appreciate it.
but isaac's still left open, success or not, and jackson grits his teeth and slams into him, aiming for a full body tackle. he's got a favor to return, and that favor is laying isaac out and punching him while he's down. ]

He can't get the momentum to land a decent punch, but he tries anyway, flailing a little to try and force Jackson off of him before the larger man really starts hitting him. His fists strike out somewhat frantically for Jackson's stomach, his face, and Isaac's teeth are gritted, hips twisting to try and force him off.]

isaac's frantic punching doesn't find much in the way of solid purchase, but it is inevitably lucky: he lands a hit to jackson's face that splits his lower lip, and it's enough to distract jackson. he tries to get hold of isaac's wrist with one hand to deflect at least one of the offending fists, then attempts a clean punch straight to isaac's face with the other. ]

Blood is filling his mouth, and he knows that Jackson is going to hit him again, that it's going to hurt, and he's pinned like this and there's nothing he can do but lay down and take it.
Well...
Before Jackson can hit him again, Isaac's shadow twists around him, ribbons of darkness streaming up from the ground underneath where he's currently laying and punching up forcefully into Jackson's chest. The goal is to just get him off so Isaac can turn and get the hell out of there. He hates to do it, but it beats laying there and taking the abuse.]

his chest hurts. so does his lip, and he takes a confused second to check it; his hand comes away bloody. but that's irrelevant, because isaac just cheated, and jackson looks somewhere between incredulous and amused. ]
No powers.
[ he says it as a mocking echo of isaac's own rules, and it's clear it's just a roundabout way of calling isaac a coward. there's another pause, distracted, and he checks his lip a second time; the pain's already nearly gone, which isn't - it's not surprising, exactly, because he's done the supernatural healing thing before. but isaac doesn't know that he's here for good, that he's even got a power. he should probably look smug about it, but his own irritation at being stuck here is enough to cancel it out. ]

And then Jackson throws his words back at him, and he lifts his gaze toward the other boy in a glare- a glare that slowly fades into surprise, because... well, he's sure he hit him harder than that. He left marks much more prominent than that.
The healing can only really mean one thing, and it makes Isaac want to growl in the back of his throat, to go and shove him harder, but he keeps his distance for now.]
I could say the same to you, [he finally spits out, wiping the blood from his mouth with his sleeve. It's infuriating- Jackson pretty obviously kicked his ass, and Isaac wants nothing more than to leap right back at him, but he doesn't. If Jackson has a power- especially if that power is regeneration- then jumping into a fight with him right now isn't the best of ideas, all things considered.
So he takes an even step back. Isaac isn't going to run, but he's backing down, as much as he hates to do it.]
Can't say I'm surprised. All the assholes here wind up in Baldr.

So what's your house, then? The freaks?
[ it's fairly apt, though he doesn't actually know anything about the houses. he notes that step back, and he doesn't make a move to keep the fight going - partly because if anyone's a coward here, it's him. there's more to it than that, of course; all his assertions that he's moved on, he's over it, they're not completely false. he'd be happier without any of this drama, but old habits die hard.
that said, even if he's just standing his ground, it'd be asking a bit much to expect him to back down gracefully. ]
Are we done here? Or do you want to get your ass kicked again.

Asshole.]
We're done.
[It's an exercise in holding back his rage, and Isaac practically hisses it between his teeth, but next time- yeah, next time he's going to crush him so hard that he won't be able to regenerate to fix it. Isaac promises himself that.]
For now.

it's enough that over it or not, jackson can't help an arrogant grin, just to show off how perfectly fine his face is despite the punches. then he turns and continues on his way like turning his back on isaac isn't even a threat; like isaac's not even a threat, and that's a deliberate message. ]

But he doesn't. He's bleeding and a little banged up, and he watches Jackson walk away with a glare that could melt steel, but he doesn't do anything, not until Jackson is out of sight, turned off onto the next street. As soon as he is, Isaac lets out a growl of frustration, turning and kicking hard at a trash can, flipping it over onto the street. Without a second glance at it, he balls his hands into fists, shoving them in his pockets and moving back toward Hel.
At least nobody is going to hear about this.]
