There is a definite sense of self-worth that Erica has these days. She knows that things aren't perfect, that Isaac still tries too hard to protect her. That secrets keep being laid out one over the other and that each time he expresses how it's not her - that he trusts her, that there is a sliver of doubt that comes from him. Things have been different since Isaac had come and gone. If it had been the thought that two of him here was difficult, that there was some hierarchy of one over the other, or that fears had laced through him Erica wishes that she knew. Trying to be helpful and actually being helpful are always two different things and when it's overtly clear just how little you can do to help every detail matters.

Details like showing Scott that she doesn't get lost in the city anymore. That she has a job and she maintains a routine. She has a doctor and a magician (though she's sure Merlin wouldn't appreciate that title) to help her with her epilepsy. She's better at using her power, even if she's positive that making baby animals walk won't really help out anyone at all. It matters to her though and she knows that Isaac is close with Scott, she knows that when things go to hell Isaac will tell Scott first. She knows that if she can show Scott that it's okay to trust her that maybe Isaac will feel better about it too.

Maybe not so much then, but you had some non-smashy clawy grr face moments. Not a lot, but they were there.

You did try to kill Lydia, so you know, there was that, but I think pretty much everyone tried to kill Lydia.

[Peter had come the closest, the dick.]

[Her brow furrows.]

Why would I try to kill Lydia?

[teenyoda]

Because Derek was a jerk and thought she was the kanima, even though I totally told him she wasn't. Jerk.

[better]

Okay. [She really shouldn't be getting all of this stuff out of context, but it's keeping Stiles there and her mind off of everything else.]

Do you ever wonder if all of that stuff went on before you knew about it?

[teenyoda]

I know it did. The Hales lived there before the fire, so we had werewolves in Beacon Hills for... god, I don't know how long.

[better]

I wonder how many people know what really goes on.

[teenyoda]

Not enough.

[It made him think about his dad again, and he started chewing on his lip.]

[better]

[Erica shifts on the couch again, unfolding from her defensive position now that they weren't talking about her dressing in skirts and leather.]

Do you want anything? [Her shoulder shrugs up in question.]

[teenyoda]

Me? No, I'm good. I mean, if you want something, go ahead. It's your place.

[better]

I was going to get some water. I just thought if you wanted a glass. [She rises to her feet and moves to the kitchen.]

[teenyoda]

Nope, but thanks. I'm good.

[And maybe he watches her get up and move because he's trying to see if she moves the same way as the Erica he knows better.]

[She always had a sway to her, mostly it came from wanting to not be noticed. The ability to shift through a crowd without touching them, the way her shoulders could shift easily so that she'd just slip between people. It had a fluidity to it that she felt was the only smooth part of her. Here in Asgard, she's grown more confident and while she still has her moments of wanting to just hide and not be seen by anyone (even before the seizure) she still doesn't shy away from herself as much. There are no kitten heels to click to determined steps, trying to draw attention. It's just Erica getting a glass of water.]

Can I ask you what Isaac told you when he asked you to come check on me? [She doesn't turn around, saying it as she fills the glass.]

[teenyoda]

Not much. Just that he told you and that he wasn't here and was worried about you.

[As pissed off as he was with Isaac for telling her in the first place and for dragging him into it, he wasn't pissed off enough to throw him under the bus with a lie. But Isaac totally owed him.]

[better]

[Erica nods, putting the water back in the fridge and then bringing her glass back with her to the couch.]

He said I was crying, right? [She exhales heavily when she sits down. Sipping the water.] I'm sorry he just expected you to do this, but I'm glad you came over.

[teenyoda]

Maybe.

[He shifts so he's turned more towards her. He shrugs at that, looking down at his hands.]

He can expect all he wants. I could have said no if I didn't want to do it.

[better]

Either way, I'm glad that it was someone who understands what's going on back home. I almost called Elena, but I don't think I would've been able to explain anything to her.

[teenyoda]

It's kind of sucky that none of us really know what happened. I mean, if Isaac heard it from his future self, who's to say he wasn't just being a massive dick for some reason?

[better]

[Erica shrugs.]

I don't know. I guess... I mean, going back he looked at me differently. Like he was surprised to see me... like he hadn't seen me in a while.

[teenyoda]

Doesn't mean you died. Maybe you left, just like everyone thought. We don't know for sure, Erica. Maybe future Isaac's just a big ol' dick and likes to spread his dickiness around to others because of some kind of latent dick gene.

[better]

[She looks up at him, a slight frown on her features.]

I know you don't get along with Isaac, but I think that if he was lying to himself... he'd have known.

[teenyoda]

I never said I didn't get along with him.

[That was more an implied thing.]

Not true. We lie to ourselves the best, you know.

[There's a knowing glance. You don't have to SAY anything at all, Stiles. The tone earlier when Erica said that Isaac expected Stiles to deal with her had kind of clued her in.]

I want to trust it, Stiles, but if it happens... [She just shrugs and exhales. She didn't really want to talk about it, so she's not sure why she let the conversation pull this direction.]

[teenyoda]

[And now he was at a loss for words. His fingers tapped against his leg, fidgeting as he looked over at her.]

So, um, how did you and Isaac hook up in here if you don't remember him?
