[...why are they loud. What is this. WHY CAN HE HEAR THEM FROM HIS ROOM. So he heads for Apollo's door, and knocks on it three times. What was with all this screaming?]

...Justice?

[They must be loud to be effective. These are the infamous Chords of Steel we're talking about! Their power is all but legendary.

He does hear the knocking, though, in the pause between shouts, and he pauses. He recognizes that voice, so he hurries to the door and opens it, looking somewhat more disarrayed than usual.]

Mr. Edgeworth! Hi.
prosecutory: (♙ all these feelings I've shared)

[personal profile] prosecutory 2012-02-16 04:31 am (UTC)(link)
[He does not know about the Chords of Steel, Polly. You know, they're way ahead of his time.]

What...were you doing?
attorneyatloud: (nine)

[personal profile] attorneyatloud 2012-02-16 09:46 pm (UTC)(link)
[It's true that not everyone is informed about the Chords of Steel. Even in his time, some people still don't get it, can you believe it?]

My vocal exercises. I've got to keep my vocal chords in prime condition!

[He says this so proudly.]
prosecutory: (♙ somebody shake me)

[Yes.

...and his expression is just one big question mark.]

I...I see. For what?

For court. I'm known for my Chords of Steel in the courtroom. My voice echoes through the halls of justice.

[That's right, his Chords of Steel are awesome!]

...Is it really necessary?

[He just lets his voice echo through the halls of justice when it has to. No practice required! Or maybe it's just because he's been doing it for six years. Force of habit.]
attorneyatloud: (five)

[personal profile] attorneyatloud 2012-02-18 09:59 am (UTC)(link)
It's not necessary. It's effective. You know, you have to train your vocal cords just like athletes train. They're muscles, too. Not to mention your diaphragm.

[I'm really happy for you, Edgeworth, and I'mma let you finish, but Apollo Justice has the most powerful vocal cords OF ALL TIME.

OOC: I'm sorry, what is wrong with me?]
prosecutory: (♖ but I can't hear a word you say)

[personal profile] prosecutory 2012-02-18 10:26 am (UTC)(link)
[NOTHING. YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL AND THE WORLD IS BEAUTIFUL.]

I suppose...but you don't necessarily have to shout everything in court.

[Although of course, force of habit prevails at times...]

[ ♥!

Why do you keep talking to him about it, Edgeworth? You have no idea-- he's just going to go on and on. Even though no one understands!]

Shouting? It's not about shouting. It's about volume and control. I have the voice and diaphragm of a professional operatic tenor.

[HE...DOESN'T KNOW EITHER.]

You had formal voice lessons?

[Did Apollo sing in his spare time or something and then applied all the principles to how he argued in court or something?]
