[ On Day 312 (August17/18), the Reapers that were floating listlessly around the hospital have found new victims to manipulate. They can be found in the Dark Carnival instead, twisting the otherwise peaceful spirits that usually meander around the theme park into violent vengeful spirits.

These angry spirits, driven by the Reapers, will take to the city and will target Travellers whose circumstances remind them of their own. The spirit of a woman killed by her lover may go after a man who has been violent to women in his past; the spirit of a boy dead from drowning may go after someone who has nearly drowned before. Their only purpose is to achieve “vengeance” for their untimely deaths, and they will seek this vengeance out wherever they can throughout the city. Take care, Travellers, for the night is dark and full of terrors or your past may come back to haunt you. ]

[ OOC NOTES: This is the PG-13 mingle log for the Introduction to Holes Reaper plot. These spirits will not rest until they are either banished, brought to peace, or the Reapers are dealt with. [ Oh. Well, if a fox starts writing in the sand, of course you pay attention. It would, frankly, be utterly stupid to not do so, because since when do foxes have nine tails and the capability of writing in the sand? ]

The spirits, eh? Why didn't you say that first?

[ Although maybe petting is just that much more important. But all right then. ]

Let's see what we can do.

[ And he moves to see if the fox will let him pick it up. ]

[Erasing the message by using one of his tails, he will write a new message to his first question:





He will stop writing as he thinks over the matter a little longer. If the deities had turned his demonic DNA inactive, then does it mean he was currently a normal fox instead of a supernatural creature? He knows that fox demons can be used as amulets to protect their master's from evil especially the black fox. He had researched his own lineage at one point in his life. But now, it made him wonder: Did he still possess those abilities in Asgard? Hmmm.

There will be a whine as he realized his first mistake. Damn. Why didn't he realize this earlier?

Erasing his message one final time, he will add:



Once he was through writing, he will decide to trust the Doctor, as long as he doesn't figure out who he is underneath it all. He will stand on his hind paws as his tails begins to wag side to side. Permission granted.]

We've got a contract now?

[ Okay that's a bit weird but. You don't travel across all of time and space without accepting these things to some degree. He's not sure about a contract but... He can deal. ]

Well. Let's not stick around to find out, eh?

[ And so he grabs the fox and lifts it up. ]

Is it all right if I put you inside my coat? If they can't see you maybe it'll fool them.

[There will be three barks given to him as thought to show his uncertainty. Usually there was suppose to be a written contract signed between them, but it shouldn't matter under dire circumstances such as the one they are kinda in. Besides, he only needs him, the contract will be voided once the Doctor says: It's over.

Well, he better tell the Doctor all this later.

At the Doctor's question over the coat, Soushi will offer him a dubious tilt of his head as one of his ears gets a tab bit floppy. But, really, he shouldn't complain, it was a better plan as any. That, and it could be wor--maybe he shouldn't mentally say that line.

Just when he thought of that idea, the voices from before will be heard at a distance, searching for him as they call out for his last name.

A bark will be quickly given as a confirmation to the idea. Do it, Doctor. Just do it, don't ask him.]

[ Yes, it would be nice if he was told. But! More important matters at hand now; under the coat the fox goes, and the Doctor even goes as far as to button it some. He doesn't run, because that'll probably jostle the fox unnecessarily, but he does walk quickly. So far, his house has been very quiet from these things, so he'll make his way there and hope that lasts. ]

[While the Doctor is having fun with playing the game "hide-the-fluffy-black-fox-from-evil-spirits", Soushi will try to make himself comfortable in the coat as he simply remains as still as he can. Keyword being "trying".

Right now, Soushi was somewhat curious and excited to be in the coat, he wanted to check if there was anything to take from the Doctor. What did he have hidden in his clothes?

Yes. It was somehow more important than hiding or remaining still.

Well, luckily for the Doctor, the group of spirits are close by, so Soushi will remain perfectly still and silent as he can hear those spirits getting closer and closer. Now, they were around the area, almost ignoring the Doctor, but they do not seem to be too much of a hurry to leave the area. They will simply be searching high and low for the fox.]

[ Well, they can carry on doing that as much as they like; the Doctor's not going to stick around the area. The more thoroughly they search the better. Spirits shouldn't be able to sniff themselves to anything, should they? That would be ridiculous.

It would be stupid of him to think it impossible, but still. It would be seriously ridiculous.

But, now that they're close and don't seem to automatically know exactly where the fox is, he decides to slow down a little. Regular pace. Nothing suspicious about that.

Now hopefully no spirits would decide to go after him. ]

[It would be ridiculous; however....Soushi is actually expecting the spirits to smell the type of blood he held in his veins. All of this running from spirits is no different from being hunted down by other demons. He was prey to them (unless he gave them the upper hand just to have the excuse to get his hands dirty). That is the reason behind the small fox behaving himself as he does not wish to die just yet.

There was much he needed to do in this life time. He has not completed his mission just yet.

The further away the Doctor got, the more the fox was afraid in being caught. Or worse yet, this man angering the spirits enough for them to chase him instead. He could not possibly allow it neither. But luckily the spirits did not begin to chase nor bothered with the Doctor at all. Right now, they seemed more concern with finding a new victim to prey upon as they begin to disperse.

The small fox will begin to wonder if the coast is clear because he has not heard any noises in quite some time. So Doctor, have a tiny fox sticking his head out of your coat as it makes a yip sound, more like a puppy sound.]

[ That is adorable, and makes the Doctor chuckle. He brings a hand up to stroke his fingertips over the fox's head, and then moves to unbutton his coat. ]

It's safe.

[ Once the buttons are undone, he snatches the fox up by hooking his hands under its front legs and brings it up to eye level, tilting his head at it. Hm... ]

You know, you seem familiar, but I'm pretty sure I'd remember if I'd ever seen a nine-tailed fox before.

[The fox will be weary at first over the Doctor's intentions, so he might try to lower his ears and hide in the coat again. Until he felt the petting, and the all clear to come out.

Well, to be fair, the Doctor was the one carrying him around, so the fox will most definitely not be able to get away from him. Not unless he felt it was necessary to. Which he did when the Doctor began to mention of being familiar, but he calmed down after realizing he never did tell the Doctor he was a nine-tailed fox demon, so how would he know? He wouldn't, he couldn't...maybe? Did he know anyone else with his eye colors?

Two barks will be offered along with a quick shake of his head. No! You don't know him, nope!

Some of the tails will begin to wag violently as another of the tails are hiding under Soushi's hind paws. Was he terrified? He was. Very much. If the whine and droopy ears were any further indication.]

[ Yes, it is further indication. Which only makes the Doctor more certain that he does know this little thing.

He tilts his head further, wags the fox back and forth. ]

What are you worried about?

[discrepant]

[Doctor, why are you moving him like this? He isn't a toy and it won't get an answer out of him. No. Never.

Instead he will continue to whine at him. Maybe he should shiver? If he shivers, then he can show he is afraid of his surroundings, right? Definitely. Ghosts and vengeful spirits are terrifying especially towards an Atavist like him....

Soushi will begin to yap and bark at his surroundings to further prove he is afraid of his surroundings. He does not like being in the open like this, so don't even dare take a look at the silver collar under his fur. DON'T YOU DARE READ THE NAME ON IT NEITHER!]

Shhh. Don't want to risk attracting them again, do you?

[ But yes, yes, they'll keep moving. So he tucks the fox under his arm for the time being, throws a look around, and then continues on his way.

He's absolutely certain he somehow knows this little thing. ]
