BOX BREAKING/EVENT MINGLE: THE GENTLEMEN
Who: EVERYONE still in the city on Days 346-348 (Oct 24-29)!
What: The Gentlemen event mingle/box breaking log.
When: Days 346-348 (Oct. 24-29)
Where: Throughout the city.
Rating: PG-13, for mentions of murder/death. Anything too explicit or graphic should be taken to a separate log, please!
Beneath the cut is the brief TL;DR of the event, but the plot rundown HERE can provide you with all of the information you need about breaking the boxes, stopping the murders, and saving the day! Remember that your characters are voiceless, so feel free to get creative with how you're communicating across the city.
A brief rundown by day:
Day One ( Day 346 / Oct. 24/25 ): A small earthquake rattles the city for three minutes. Everyone loses their voices. Two people will die late at night with their hearts cut from their chests.
Day Two (Day 347 / Oct. 26/27): The bodies are found. Buffycast will do their best to explain the situation and people will start looking for the "box" only to realise there's more than one. Two more people will die.
Day Three (Day 348 / Oct. 28/29): Two more people will die. The last box will be destroyed right as they're cutting into the third and final victim. Screams of the victims will be heard across the city and the Gentlemen will die.
Everyone is voiceless for this event. No screaming or coughing or anything of the sort. This applies to animals and possibly even the gods; if you try to ring them up, they won't be answering. Voices will return by late evening of Day 348 (Oct. 29).
[ Please include the IC day (ex. Day 338 - that can be found in the info beneath the cut!) and OPEN/CLOSED in your top-level comment or your subject line when starting a thread. There WILL BE headers for the different districts, with a box-breaking thread beneath each header, but you ARE WELCOME to make your own threads beneath those headers for your characters OR to make new headers of your own. ]

Before dawn on Day 346 (Oct. 24), an odd red light will appear in the sky in the general direction of Muspellheim. It's not the sun rising early and it's not a glow cloud, just a single, large streak across the sky that might look like a crack. Seconds after it appears, a rumbling sound will accompany a small earthquake that might break a few dishes or rattle anything not secured off of its perch, nothing terribly destructive. The earthquake lasts about three minutes.
From this point onward, all living creatures in Asgard will be mute.

In a matter of a few hours or so, Alice had invested time in finding this "box" -- she wasn't sure what it would look like. Would it be a regular box? Or something else? But after exhausting efforts to look for anything out of place, Alice could only draw the conclusion to be looking in the dark carnival. It seemed, fitting, didn't it?
Just after Alice had decided to stop and regain her barrings. She can easily turn from calm to impatient in no time flat.
Anything out of place - anything - although a blue woman with wings wasn't exactly what Alice was looking for, at the least, she was from the same district. That would be a good start, right? To see if she had found anything? In an impulsive streak, Alice had broke out in a run to catch up to her.]

Oh, she has seen this girl before.
Demona grabs her notebook, to write down something ]
Where have you looked for the box?

I looked thoroughly in our welcoming house and all over Hel's district. I decided to come here.

[ Demona glances back at the Carnival.
They should go. And without really asking - she has no voice - she just glances at Alice and walks towards it ]

For a brief moment, Alice simply basked in the irony of reading that. The mirrors, of course, much like the other part of Wonderland. Life had a funny way of coming back to that, didn't it? Pressing lips into a thin line, she gave a brief nod. Honestly, writing was going to be taxing as it was. Alice doesn't question her, she follows right behind, flashing her knife in her right hand.
Better safe than sorry.]

Minions. Strange creature, but they were warned of them - at least she was. she wasn't, however, warned about how strong they were. it's not like it mattered, anyway - if they are here, it means there is something worthy to check out.
Demona glances over her shoulder at Alice.
To jump in or to lure those things and kill one by one, would be question ]

Then again, It wouldn't be much of an issue for her to handle it, she didn't mind. What mattered to Alice was stopping this madness altogether. She does manage to snap out of a mixture of anxiety and anger after seeing the strange creatures to give a curt nod to Demona.
Almost to say "ready when you are".]

What can she say? She is a fan of maces.
Demona grips on the handle and decides to engage the enemy, jumping towards the creature to hit its head ]

When Alice gets at least a few free seconds, she does make a point to glance over to Demona. It's difficult, Alice hasn't fought side by side before.]

The gargoyle viciously attacks the creature, growling and hissing, as she bashes its head in, and when another approaches, she uses her wings and tail to throw it as far away as possible.
Though Alice never fought side by side with someone else, that was the kind of combat Demona knew before the death of her clan. She comes closer to Alice, her back facing the girl; something like "you protect my back and I protect yours" (quite literally since they'd be surrounded by those minions soon enough ]

But then they start to descend.
A sigh as Alice rolls her green eyes as they become surrounded. It doesn't strike fear into her heart. On the contrary, Alice finds it annoying due to the growing impatience she's starting to develop. It's hard, Alice wants to break away, but she doesn't. She does stay close, covering her comrade in arms from the back, managing to refrain from lunging with the vorpal blade forward. The vorpal blade, as always, is sharp and keen, it never dulls and Alice is grateful for that.]
