BOX BREAKING/EVENT MINGLE: THE GENTLEMEN
Who: EVERYONE still in the city on Days 346-348 (Oct 24-29)!
What: The Gentlemen event mingle/box breaking log.
When: Days 346-348 (Oct. 24-29)
Where: Throughout the city.
Rating: PG-13, for mentions of murder/death. Anything too explicit or graphic should be taken to a separate log, please!
Beneath the cut is the brief TL;DR of the event, but the plot rundown HERE can provide you with all of the information you need about breaking the boxes, stopping the murders, and saving the day! Remember that your characters are voiceless, so feel free to get creative with how you're communicating across the city.
A brief rundown by day:
Day One ( Day 346 / Oct. 24/25 ): A small earthquake rattles the city for three minutes. Everyone loses their voices. Two people will die late at night with their hearts cut from their chests.
Day Two (Day 347 / Oct. 26/27): The bodies are found. Buffycast will do their best to explain the situation and people will start looking for the "box" only to realise there's more than one. Two more people will die.
Day Three (Day 348 / Oct. 28/29): Two more people will die. The last box will be destroyed right as they're cutting into the third and final victim. Screams of the victims will be heard across the city and the Gentlemen will die.
Everyone is voiceless for this event. No screaming or coughing or anything of the sort. This applies to animals and possibly even the gods; if you try to ring them up, they won't be answering. Voices will return by late evening of Day 348 (Oct. 29).
[ Please include the IC day (ex. Day 338 - that can be found in the info beneath the cut!) and OPEN/CLOSED in your top-level comment or your subject line when starting a thread. There WILL BE headers for the different districts, with a box-breaking thread beneath each header, but you ARE WELCOME to make your own threads beneath those headers for your characters OR to make new headers of your own. ]

Before dawn on Day 346 (Oct. 24), an odd red light will appear in the sky in the general direction of Muspellheim. It's not the sun rising early and it's not a glow cloud, just a single, large streak across the sky that might look like a crack. Seconds after it appears, a rumbling sound will accompany a small earthquake that might break a few dishes or rattle anything not secured off of its perch, nothing terribly destructive. The earthquake lasts about three minutes.
From this point onward, all living creatures in Asgard will be mute.

Jack took the lead as they neared the end of the narrow street they were moving down, the building they were following coming to an end just before it. There were sounds around the corner, just loud enough for Jack to pick them up, but too quiet to tell what they were. He put one hand out, to motion at Ianto to stop and to press against the wall, even as he did so himself. There was a glance back next, to meet the younger man's eyes, and there was a clear 'stay here,' written in his gaze. He mouthed it as well, and motioned with his hand. Stay. Jack would check it out first. Then, with a confident wink, Jack edged towards the corner slowly, to peer around it.]

As he came just to the corner, Jack paused long enough to try one thing; his ability, the one 'gifted' to him by the so called 'gods' of Asgard, allowed him to manipulate his shadow, make solid forms out of it, and he'd been practicing at it. So he paused to call on his shadow to form a short dagger. He had his Webley, of course, but against creatures that were supposedly invulnerable, he didn't see the need to waste bullets. Then, as he felt the still strange solid sensation of the shadow in his hand, forming the hilt that he gripped, he eased out- to find the noise he'd heard was nothing more than a couple of the Natives having some kind of silent disagreement. He released the tension he'd been holding and turned back to glance at Ianto, nodding. All clear, so far as least.]

He eyes the shadow knife in Jack's hand. He's not sure that he'll ever be used to this whole 'abilities' business. Granted, he's used to Jack having abilities that he doesn't, but nothing like that. Not for the first time, he wonders what his own special power is and when it could manifest itself. It definitely isn't going to be anything nearly as spectacular as Jack's. He asked around, before he moved out of Heimdall, and he knows the two options that are presented to him. Neither are going to be very helpful as offense in a fight, if things come to that here, he silently laments to himself as he steps forward, drawing his gun.]

'Stay here,' he tries to push through his eyes. Watch his back while he takes the next corner. They will definitely be reviewing standard hand signals after this.]

Far down the street, possible target sighted.
