BOX BREAKING/EVENT MINGLE: THE GENTLEMEN
Who: EVERYONE still in the city on Days 346-348 (Oct 24-29)!
What: The Gentlemen event mingle/box breaking log.
When: Days 346-348 (Oct. 24-29)
Where: Throughout the city.
Rating: PG-13, for mentions of murder/death. Anything too explicit or graphic should be taken to a separate log, please!
Beneath the cut is the brief TL;DR of the event, but the plot rundown HERE can provide you with all of the information you need about breaking the boxes, stopping the murders, and saving the day! Remember that your characters are voiceless, so feel free to get creative with how you're communicating across the city.
A brief rundown by day:
Day One ( Day 346 / Oct. 24/25 ): A small earthquake rattles the city for three minutes. Everyone loses their voices. Two people will die late at night with their hearts cut from their chests.
Day Two (Day 347 / Oct. 26/27): The bodies are found. Buffycast will do their best to explain the situation and people will start looking for the "box" only to realise there's more than one. Two more people will die.
Day Three (Day 348 / Oct. 28/29): Two more people will die. The last box will be destroyed right as they're cutting into the third and final victim. Screams of the victims will be heard across the city and the Gentlemen will die.
Everyone is voiceless for this event. No screaming or coughing or anything of the sort. This applies to animals and possibly even the gods; if you try to ring them up, they won't be answering. Voices will return by late evening of Day 348 (Oct. 29).
[ Please include the IC day (ex. Day 338 - that can be found in the info beneath the cut!) and OPEN/CLOSED in your top-level comment or your subject line when starting a thread. There WILL BE headers for the different districts, with a box-breaking thread beneath each header, but you ARE WELCOME to make your own threads beneath those headers for your characters OR to make new headers of your own. ]

Before dawn on Day 346 (Oct. 24), an odd red light will appear in the sky in the general direction of Muspellheim. It's not the sun rising early and it's not a glow cloud, just a single, large streak across the sky that might look like a crack. Seconds after it appears, a rumbling sound will accompany a small earthquake that might break a few dishes or rattle anything not secured off of its perch, nothing terribly destructive. The earthquake lasts about three minutes.
From this point onward, all living creatures in Asgard will be mute.

Really, he needs to release Ianto to write out the answer, but damned if he wants to let go of him. It takes a firm, mental reminder that it's not panic, at how dazed Ianto had been when the chain from the creature cracked him on his temple, at how it's bled, because head wounds always bleed, it's just concern. Then, reluctantly, he lets the Natives take some of the burden of supporting the Welshman from him, so he can scribble out a reply.]
Fight with some of the creatures. Hit in the head by a chain, no loss of consciousness, heavily dazed.

Help him sit down. Shouldn't take too long.
[He nods toward the cluster of squashy chairs in the waiting area, stepping closer to take some of Ianto's weight off Jack's shoulder himself.]

He glances up at Jack, the message clear in his eyes, even if he's not writing it out. My head is killing me, but I'm fine. I'll be fine. ...I think. He can see the concern in Jack's eyes, through the haze. Even now, he's trying his best to comfort the man, even though he's upset with him for going out there in the first place and his head feels ready to split in two.]

He keeps hold of Ianto's hand as he looks at the other man- a doctor, maybe, or a healer, at least that's Jack's assumption- and reaches for his pad with his other hand. Writing with only one hand is a little awkward still, but easier now than it had been when he'd actually been supporting the younger man, and he scribbles out,]
Just happened. He's had head injuries before.

A brief scan tells him what they've already said; a few scrapes here and there, but the main injury's in the head. He directs the magic toward the head, mending the damage there and leeching away any discomfort originating from that area.
When he's done, he steps back.]
He'll be all right now. Where did you find the creatures?
no subject
Ianto looks between Jack and Merlin, his blue eyes wide and confused, although this time not because of the concussion but because it seems to have magically disappeared. He squeezes Jack's hand for a moment, before he reaches for Jack's pad and pen - his own are tucked away in his jacket and this is easier, faster to reach.]
What happened? What did you do? [He wonders if he looks as recovered as he feels, if Jack saw what happened, sees the difference that occurred in only a few short moments.]
