[So a day of R&R still didn't take her up to full pare, between the message of the ruins, everyone's power going haywire -and just being in this crazy city period, Kimberly was going to have a day to do some shopping whether people liked it or not. She had a job, she could afford to, and it was a fun chance to get Sansa to explore some more modern fashions.

She still did some working out of course, point being not to slack off, but after a shower, change into some fresh clothes, and breakfast, she was as ready as she would ever be.

"Hey, Sansa..you ready?"

[Oh ewww, no tees for her pls.] I will trust you on this, thank you, Kimberly!

[Sansa follows the other girl.] Maybe we could see about my hair?

[Baby steps, least she's trying.]

She nods and pays for the clothes, working a deal with the clerk on a discount because this is Sansa's first time trying on modern clothing. It's normally not done back home, but it's done here and she's willing to milk it for all its worth-she's able to talk them down to a 25 percent discount.]

Sure, lets see about making an appoint. [She hands Sansa the bag with her dress and jacket and heads with her out the door of the shop and towards the salon.]

[Yes, baby steps are good.

Sansa blushes just a bit when Kim pays. She'll think of something nice to do for her.]

Oh, yes. Is that how it works here?

[Kim suppresses a smile until they two of them are outside, then it's just suppressed giggling.] Sometimes, usually shops will have some sales around holidays, or at the start of the new year when they're trying to get rid of old inventory. Many places do give ten or twenty percent discount for those in the military and, well since we are fighting a war-I just sort of spun it that way to get in a discount.

[Hey, that's why they were here in the first place after all. Might as well get in some good deals.]

[She finds them to a hair salon, but it looks fairly busy. This usually means that the stylists know what they're doing, but it could mean a wait. When she steps inside to ask about getting an all color job for Sansa, there's about a forty-five minute wait.] You alright waiting? Or shall we try some place else?

[Sansa looks at Kim in admiration.] You are a very skilled shopper, Kimberly. I must say shops here are very different than in Westeros. I am not sure they have much 'sales'...

[The younger girl follows, peeking inside with Kim.] Is 45 minutes too long?

Imagine not, but you probably don't have fixed prices either, so it's an even score really. [She wasn't sure she was ready to only have enough clothes as could be sewn though.]

[She turned to take a look outside, before talking with the lady at the desk.] You mind if we head across the street while we wait? [The faceless lady nodded.] It's for Sansa.

[She turns.] Lets go for smoothies then, we've time.

No... I have seen my mother in the market, and sometimes she bargains to get something cheaper, but not often. [Probably only when the merchant wants to outsmart them.]

That sounds good. Smoothies... are they to be eaten or drunk?

Bargains are tricky business. [She smiles at the pun.] Sometimes clerks and merchants will make something look like a bargain when it's not, but you don't realize this until you're already home.

[Her mom's an art dealer after all. She has to be able to pick the value of a piece or not at the right price and that comes with experience.]

They're to be drunk. It's mostly fruit blended with ice, but some recipes call for vegetables like carrots or spinach and just hide the taste.

[The place they find is small, with a few booths and bar area right by where the drinks are made. Along with smoothies are also milkshakes, frozen yogurt with toppings, and a counter with some baked goods.] Most of these places, you order at the bar and just take your drink with you.

[Sansa nods seriously at this, because though her family is not lavish like the nobles in King's Landing, they never lacked for money and goods either.]

Ohhh... That sounds like an interesting drink.

[Though instead, she looks with curiosity at the frozen yogurt.]

I make them a lot when I want something quick and energizing. [Like when she was recovering from having her energy transferred everywhere without her able to control it.] but for some reason they always taste better when made by someone else.

[Possibly because more ingredients, or she didn't have to bother cleaning up when someone else made them.

She can't help but grin when Sansa's staring at the frozen yogurt dispenser: the three flavors being chocolate, vanilla and strawberry.] You want to try some frozen yogurt instead? It's like ice cream, but not as fattening.

[She giggles.]

Yes, I think I would like to try it. It looks so creamy... [She blushes a bit.]

[Kim doesn't really get the blush, but maybe she's not used to indulging in sweets.

She orders two paper cups for frozen yogurt and hands one as well as a spoon over to Sansa] It's one of my favorite foods, so I totally get you.

[She shows her how to dispense it from the machine, choosing a blend of vanilla and strawberry. There are also a few toppings to put on it, but she chooses to go without any for the moment.]

[She indulges in sweets all the time, though she probably shouldn't so much.

The girl nods and takes the offered items, choosing vanilla and chocolate herself, after watching Kim doing it.] The nuts and candied fruits, should they be added on top?

If you want, they cost a few cents extra, but I paid them already because I wasn't sure. [Really, it's just a few cents.]

[She waited until Sansa was done with her selection before choosing a booth a little far from the door-habit taking over. I'll be honest, it feels kinda good telling you this. Back home, we had to keep it a secret. The Power Rangers are heroes back home, but Zordon still insists we try to live somewhat normally outside of ranger duties. If the people back home find out the Rangers are high school students, we can kiss normality goodbye.

[Or whatever they had to be normal atleast.]

Ohhh, thank you... [She adds some almonds and cherries to her cup.]

What could happen if people find out about your powers? [Because she's not sure what normal for her means.]

[Kim spooned a bit of her yogurt.] Zordon said we'd loose our power, but I think it's more a case of him taking it. Three of the current rangers were civilians that found out, we just swore them to secrecy until three of our number were called away.

As for the rest of the town, I know my mom would freak out if she knew, given the dangers the Rangers face daily. The others, they'll call us in for every trouble, when our real job is defending against monsters, not other forms of crime, then there's being held responsible for property damage. Atleast as Rangers, they focus on the defense and not the damage.

[That was the explanation she and Billy decided on atleast.]

Ohhh... I see... [She finds it hard to understand. Maybe because she should ask...] Is Zordon the man who trained you in your powers?

[Sansa nods.] My mother would worry as well if I were called to fight like you are. She never approved of my sister Arya wanting to learn swordplay and archery, like my brothers.
