Who: Kimberly and Sansa
What: Shopping and hanging out
When: Days 404
Where: Freya most likely, possibly the neighboring districts if the mood tags
Rating: TBD, but probably no higher than pg 13
[So a day of R&R still didn't take her up to full pare, between the message of the ruins, everyone's power going haywire -and just being in this crazy city period, Kimberly was going to have a day to do some shopping whether people liked it or not. She had a job, she could afford to, and it was a fun chance to get Sansa to explore some more modern fashions.
She still did some working out of course, point being not to slack off, but after a shower, change into some fresh clothes, and breakfast, she was as ready as she would ever be.
"Hey, Sansa..you ready?"

I'm ready, this will be exciting.

[She handed Sansa her cloak before putting on her own coat and stepping outside.] Now..I'm thinking we should head over in that direction. [She pointed towards the direction of the large gates, thankfully a good five miles a head.] And just work our way from here.
Oh, and do you think we could visit a hair salon and get your hair back to its original color? It'd be faster and neater than waiting for it to wash out. [Not that her hair wasn't pretty, but the roots were showing and the color was a mix of dark brown and brown red.]
no subject
[Then she blinks and looks down shyly.] You think we should? I have no need for it to be dark anymore, but... It would not do for you to pay everything, Kimberly...
no subject
I think we should find plenty of pretty shops. After all there are girls our age around and there's the customers then there are shops. [It was a matter of demographics really.]
no subject
If you really don't mind... But really, I would like to do what you find pleasing as well. [She smiles.]
Yes, but at least you can fight. All my family wonders what use I could be to the gods.
no subject
Pleasing? I find shopping and hanging out with friends to be pleasing..oh, or do you mean gymnastics? I could teach you if you'd like, it'll be hard at first and painful, but it's something I really enjoy.
[At the mention of fighting, she actually stopped, looking down a little.] Well, yeah, I enjoy learning how to fight, but I started learning because I had to, because our city was under attack. Gymnastics on the other hand I've been into that since I was eight years old.
[there was a difference as far as she was concerned.]
no subject
Ohhh... I am sorry... Is it as bad as here?
no subject
[This wasn't westros, if she wanted to learn, she'd have no problem teaching her and there would be nothing to stop them.]
[Thankfully they came to a small shop that looked interesting from the window display] Lets try this one, see what's inside.
Uh..it's hard to say. [out of habit, Kim looked around, but it seemed it was just grey people in the shop and they hardly seemed to care what travelers spoke of.] My world isn't inhabited by gods, but..aliens and magic users from another world. For reasons we're not sure of, they want to destroy and take over my planet, usually by sending monsters or putty patrols to ruin or destroy things-even less fun is when they use their magic to make monsters out of every day items.
no subject
[Sansa nods and follows Kimberly.]
Aliens? What does that mean?
no subject
In this sense, an alien is any being or creature that's from a different planet or galaxy.
[Some of the grey clerks ask them if they need any help, but Kim says thanks and that they're just looking around. Most of the clothing is cut for women and junior sizes.] See anything interesting?
[Kim could see a sweater dress with her name on it.]
no subject
Ohhh... So you and I are aliens here?
[Sansa looks around the store, still not very familiar with this kind of clothing. What could be appropriate? She finds a lovely sweater dress. It's shorter than she's used to, but at least it doesn't show off her shoulders, chest or back.]
What do you think of this one?
no subject
[She can't help but laugh.] Yeah, suppose we are in a way. [It's not something she really thought of, but she supposed it was true.]
[She studied the dress.] It's pretty, and you have the built and figure for it, but..I'm not sure about the cowl neckline. You wear something that large around your neck and it could make you look scrawny. Why do you try it on and we'll see-sometimes clothes need to be tried on before you make a purchase.
no subject
I did not know there was a word for it... We do not have people from other worlds in Westeros.
Yes, maybe we have to see how it looks on me... I must admit I'm not still very familiar with what is consider proper in term of "modern" clothes...

[It helped keep her centered, the same as the guys were with martial arts.]
I saw some dressing rooms in the back, could try it on while I wait. The important thing is how you feel you look in it.
[As she spoke, Kim pulled out a dress that she found both adorable and warm to match, though if it worked she made a note to hunt for some black stockings in the laundry room as well. You try on that, I'll try on this.
no subject
[Sansa nods and then she looks at the dress Kimberly picked.] It's very pretty, the colors suit you well. [She'll follow Kim to the dressing rooms.]
no subject
[She smiles at the compliment.] Pink shades are my favorite. [And she was lucky enough that her complexion suited most of them.]
[Kim looked around the shop a bit, spotting the dressing booths and leading Sansa to them.] Okay, you take one, I take the other.
[She took the booth closest to her, double shutter doors providing cover.]
no subject
[Sansa smiles sadly.] White and grey are the colors of my House. It doesn't mean I always wear them, but I used to have clothes in those shades for formal occasions.
[She nods and slides into the other booth to try out the dress.]
no subject
[she steps inside the booth, quickly pulling out of her clothes and draping them on hooks to try on the dress.
The end result is actually kind of cute.] Not bad, would look better with some dark stockings or something.
[She steps outside, waiting for Sansa to come out.] What'd you think of yours?
no subject
[Sansa tries on the dress and looks in the mirror. With the skirt shorter than she's used to, her legs look a lot longer. She blushes a bit and self-consciously walks out of the dressing room.]
It is pretty, but very different than what I'm used to...
no subject
[She said it so non chalantly, like it could happen to any girl.]
[She looked at the dress again, thinking.] Yeah, looks much better. I think you'll feel a little better about if if you pair it with some black tights.
[She could tell when someone was a little uncomfortable and she did have to give Sansa kudos for going out of her comfort zone.]
no subject
[Sansa blushes a bit.] You think I should buy it?
no subject
Honestly, I thought it was crazy at first. [She went back into dressing room to change into her regular clothes.] I was into fashion and gymnastics, hardly the sort to get into saving the world sort of deal, but then I saw how serious the enemy was and with my friends backing me up-how could I say no.
no subject
Were you scared when you knew what you were facing?
no subject
[Her question actually made her blush a little. Not really, not at first. When we summoned the power, I just got this instant rush and felt so strong and powerful than normal. Our first fight was rough but at the same time it didn't really register with me to be scared. Some of the fights are scary, especially when it's just me and the monster, but my friends and mentor count on me to be a ranger and that means not giving up.
[They were a team after all-she's not sure if she could be one if it wasn't for them. Not really.]
no subject
I wish I could be as brave and feel powerful like you.
