Seeking Truth [Active - OPEN]
Who: Maribelle, Tohru Adachi, Seimei Aoyagi, The Fourth Doctor, Soushi Miketsukami, Kirigiri Kyouko, and Naoto Shirogane. Also, any questioning volunteers, witnesses, and people who want to meet and talk after!
What: The questioning begins.
When: D504, morning - afternoon
Where: Everyday Sunshine in the Sigyn District
Rating: G for now.
They were ready. They'd discussed their process earlier, gathered ideas and chosen their partners, and now it was time to properly get to work. They'd all arrived at the Everyday Sunshine building bright and early, and after placing a sign-in sheet for the volunteers, went into their assigned spaces. Each volunteer was allowed a witness, if they so chose, and there were breaks scheduled at regular intervals so that those with special abilities could rest and recharge as much as possible.
Now, all they had to do was wait.
Room 1: Adachi and Maribelle [OPEN]
Room 2: Seimei and Soushi [OPEN]
Room 3: The Fourth Doctor [OPEN]
Room 4: Kirigiri and Naoto [OPEN]
After: The Sigyn District [OPEN]
[ooc: Everyone is available for questioning in their individual threads. Volunteers can go in a thread of their own by responding to a comment by the investigators so they don't have to thread hop. Also, please try to spread out volunteers between the questioners, so we have less chance of power drain. Thanks! ♥]

Room 1: Maribelle and Adachi
But that wouldn't do. She'd been subject to rumors before, and she simply could not bring herself to treat Adachi unfairly. She was keeping an eye on him, and they were all being watched. That would have to be enough for now.
She waited, calm and composed, for their volunteers to begin coming in.]

keep using himstick around him.][Sometimes he wondered if it was worth admitting the truth out loud, just to get these dumbasses to shut up.]
[Still, it was interesting to finally be invited to this place. He had scoped it out plenty of times on patrol of course, so he knew the way well enough that he could get there early... carrying two cups of coffee. He was just about to make his way in when he realized what the hell he was doing. Scoping out the location, coming with coffee; he let out a loud groan, rolling his eyes skyward.]
Dojima-san... what've you done to me...?
[A heartrending sigh followed just after, before Adachi made his way in, going off to the room Mari said she'd be in. He knocked as best he could, before poking his head in, only to see her already there. Sheesh, now he felt like he was being late here...]
Maribelle-san? Am I late?
no subject
You're a little early, Tohru. The volunteers haven't started coming in, yet.
[She gestures for the other to sit by her, noticing the cups, but not quite saying anything else just yet.]
no subject
[He shuffled into the room, hesitating a moment in front of her, before offering her a cup.]
I ah... got coffee? It's... kinda a habit from work.
[He shifted on his feet awkwardly, not even bothering to hide the fact that he felt like a fool.]
no subject
She takes the coffee cup after a moment, giving him a polite nod in thanks.]
My gratitude. [she normally drinks tea, and she's only heard of coffee, but if he's nice enough to bring her something, she'll be nice enough to try it.] Please, sit.

[So, he's here, giving up his, hopefully proving to all that he's trustworthy.]
Hello.

Good morning. September was it? How very good of you to join us.
no subject
[...wow, that was terrible.]
[He forced a smile back, raising his coffee up in greeting, but letting Mari have the reigns until asked to step in.]

Even so, he knew it wasn't wise to judge someone by their appearance as he knew everyone wore a mask similar to the fox mask tied around his waist. While he patiently waited for someone to arrive, Soushi will be taking a nearby seat, a few of his nine tails twitching while the individual himself examines his fox mask in silence.]

Still he had taken part of the group for those select few who did give in to the pressure, to find out more about the other inhabitants and what was in their head.]
It seems that we'll have a rather quiet morning.
[Returning with a drink, Seimei held a water out to offer it to the other as well. He had been a little curious about the other after their initial conversation, and it was hard to ignore that they had been paired up here as well.]
no subject
[He will lower the mask as his attention will turn to his partner with a polite smile forming on his lips.]
But, it isn't surprising neither. [After all.] If the mere thought of using a polygraph test will make most individuals nervous, then I can only imagine having someone who can read their mind while the other manipulate their will to forcefully cooperate can make an individual more anxious; even if they were innocent of any wrongdoing.
[At least, that is how he saw it. And he will notice the offered water which Soushi will gratefully take with a "thank you for your kindness" comment before drinking it.]

Best to get this over with.]

(Of course, he'd like to think that he's at least as gentle as he can be with his, but that's not at hand right now.)]
Come in!
[Once she does, she'll find Four sitting with his hat pulled down over his eyes, although he pushes it back up to it's proper place once the door closes behind her again. Which mostly only has the effect of making it so that the grin that follows is all the more visible, but at least it's something.]

Just a warning. My mind sometimes wanders. If you ask the wrong question, a few of my memories are ... well, they're the stuff of nightmares. I get the feeling you lot can handle it, but just be aware it can happen, ok?

Suilad [ Maglor calls quietly as he comes through the door. He worries - he is far older than most here, and his mind equally dangerous. Perhaps he should have asked to only speak to a Charm user? ]
no subject
Hallo there.
[As ever, there's a grin with his words.]
Looking for me, I take it?
no subject
Hello Doctor! I did not think to see you here, but I am grateful all the same. I would rather not subject one of the younglings here to what traps my mind might conjure.

Kirigiri doesn't sit quite yet, wanting to have an air of openness in the room before any of the questioning went down.]

Eh. This is how you do it back in the good ol' days in places with no telepathy to speak of. It works decently. He'll go for the uncertainty of how well it'll pan out. Not like he got the impression he's a huge suspect anyway.
So here he is, cheerful and smiling as he opens the door halfway and leans through the opening. ]
Hello!
[ Waaave. ]

She waves back in greeting, and then waves him in.]
Thank you for your cooperation, would you like to have a seat?

I probably ought to. You don't happen to have any tea?
