Seeking Truth [Active - OPEN]

Who: Maribelle, Tohru Adachi, Seimei Aoyagi, The Fourth Doctor, Soushi Miketsukami, Kirigiri Kyouko, and Naoto Shirogane. Also, any questioning volunteers, witnesses, and people who want to meet and talk after!
What: The questioning begins.
When: D504, morning - afternoon
Where: Everyday Sunshine in the Sigyn District
Rating: G for now.

They were ready. They'd discussed their process earlier, gathered ideas and chosen their partners, and now it was time to properly get to work. They'd all arrived at the Everyday Sunshine building bright and early, and after placing a sign-in sheet for the volunteers, went into their assigned spaces. Each volunteer was allowed a witness, if they so chose, and there were breaks scheduled at regular intervals so that those with special abilities could rest and recharge as much as possible.

Now, all they had to do was wait.

Room 1: Adachi and Maribelle [OPEN]
Room 2: Seimei and Soushi [OPEN]
Room 3: The Fourth Doctor [OPEN]
Room 4: Kirigiri and Naoto [OPEN]
After: The Sigyn District [OPEN]

[ooc: Everyone is available for questioning in their individual threads. Volunteers can go in a thread of their own by responding to a comment by the investigators so they don't have to thread hop. Also, please try to spread out volunteers between the questioners, so we have less chance of power drain. Thanks! ♥]

An incentive, maybe? Something to keep us from questioning why we can't just leave and get back home? Other than the fact that there isn't any apparent way to do that unless we could manage to figure out how we'd gotten summoned here in the first place?

[But the flicker of faces that he's fairly certain he's never seen on the network and the places that are very definitely not Asgard are a good start.]

But hope is good place to start. On the other hand, if we do need to restart Ragnarok we'd better have our stories right. It wouldn't do to start the wrong kind of Ragnarok.

If you'd asked me in the old days, I would have said definitely a carrot on a stick. [She shrugged.] I've seen the inside of Muspelheim and spoken with the voice beneath the waves at least once. If this is a ruse, they've gone to a lot of lengths to get everyone in on it. I think they 'think' this is the world of worlds. I don't think they understand our worlds half as well as they think they do.

But in the end, it doesn't really matter. Like you said, it needs to be the right kind of Ragnarock, not Thiazi's.

The voice beneath the waves?

[He might know of Ragnarok, but a voice underneath the waves is a new one on him. But he can certainly understand that it might be a long way to go for a simply ruse.

Besides, he's know people to be wrong about things before. That the gods of Asgard are called gods doesn't mean that they can't be wrong all the same.]

And at the right time too, no doubt. Which this might not be, if Thiazi's responsible for most of this.

You weren't here when we went to Salt side, I don't think. There's a cave deep beneath the ocean, where you can speak with what I think is a very old voice in this world, if it isn't the world itself. She's spoken once to everyone since then.

[The visions flashed an image of the disembodied voice preaching the destruction of all life in this place several months back.]

As for right time, though, I don't know that anyone ever truly knows for sure if it's the right time for the end of the world.
allpurposescarf: (is there anything I can do?)

[personal profile] allpurposescarf 2014-10-08 04:23 am (UTC)(link)
No, I don't think so. I'd have remembered otherwise, and I don't. But it sounds terribly interesting. Not many worlds have voices that will speak for them, regardless of what they might say.

[Voices that speak of destruction are distressingly normal, on the other hand.]

Not usually, no. But if it's something that ends up written in history, sometimes that can help. If one ends up traveling back in time, anyway.

...I'm not one for traveling in time. [She shuddered. For some reason, there was a picture of a silver-haired girl with yellow tinted sunglasses there for a moment. Nobody he'd seen before.] Too many complications.

We'll figure it out one way or another, and make do with what we have. That's the only way I know how to operate.
allpurposescarf: (it's a dangerous world out there)

[personal profile] allpurposescarf 2014-10-11 06:03 am (UTC)(link)
It's not really for everyone.

[It does get complicated sometimes, and he's used to the fact, but sometimes it can be hard for even him.

(The sight of silver-haired girl is surprising, but he puts it out of his mind. Another time traveler isn't much out of the ordinary, and he doesn't expect they'll ever cross paths anyway.)]

It can be terribly hard to plan things like this, sometimes. So making do with what we have is probably for the best.

[personal profile] samantha_grey 2014-10-11 11:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Basically, yes. [She looked at him for a moment.] But to the point of this little exercise, did you find what you need?
allpurposescarf: (ah there we are)

[personal profile] allpurposescarf 2014-10-16 03:50 am (UTC)(link)
I think so, yes.

[In bits and pieces, yet, but he thinks has a pretty good idea on her opinions and that's a pretty good start.]

I mean, unless there's anything else you want to tell me. I could have the wrong idea, after all.

We're not perfect, none of us. But, no... I think I've done more than enough sharing for one day. Thank you.

[She got up to leave and waved over her shoulder.]

Good luck with the others.
allpurposescarf: (is there anything I can do?)

[personal profile] allpurposescarf 2014-10-20 10:33 pm (UTC)(link)
[No one's entirely perfect. no. But he'll take what he's got all the same, and simply offers a nod as she turns to leave.]

Of course. And thank you as well.
