Breaking the Ice (WIDE OPEN)

Where: The Viscinity of the Gate of Fire and surrounding areas

Meta-Post for all those assisting in breaking up the ice who would like to post logs to that effect. A reminder for you that Here is the OOC Post. The basic rundown of events is that while Baldr and Loki tag-team to assist in purifying the corruption to weaken the ice enough to destroy it, the travelers will be using a combination of ingenuity, well-protected muscle, technology and powers to

a) Keep the ice from going everywhere.
b) Heal workers who get magical frostbite.
c) Melt, explode, break up and destroy the ice, carting any left over out of the city.

This process begins throughout 513, and you may all assume you're cordially invited if you want to help out. I'll leave some general prompts for participants. Remember the following hazards:

Hazards:
-The Ice has not weakened. It's not stronger, and it hasn't grown, but it's just as hazardous as it was to start. Touch it, and you get frostbite that has to be healed magically, and the healing leaves you with regular frostbite to handle the old fashioned way.
-The above matters because part of this plan involves blowing this massive thing of ice to pieces. Yes, you're planning to build big bulwarks and walls, but there's always a risk of some getting on a few of you... or a lot.
-After this is done, clean-up crews will have to scour the streets and search for pieces just in case. ---Once it's all out, the Engineers can focus on rebuilding the Gate of Fire.

[Yuiko's ears folded back a little, more fighting and dying. Why were there so many places that were like that. Why couldn't everyone just be nice to eah other and live together without people having to die.]

Oh, so then it must not be too different from the fighting that's happened here. I wonder if there's a pleasant place here if something were to happen?

Non-combatants are usually taken to safe houses. If you can reach the comfort house, that is its normal purpose. Folkvang I believe it is called. Extra defenses will be there.

[She had been talking about the afterlife part, but she knew about the safe houses. She had been around for the drill. Still she nods her head.]

I want to help everyone I can though too, so I'm going to try to keep from hiding unless things are really bad. That way if the medical team or anyone gets tired I'll be able to help by giving them some of my energy.

Ah well I'm still learning how to use it, but I found that it doesn't have to be something really bad. I could transfer some to Akira-kun by kissing his hand.

This was expected. but it is less a romantic gesture unless someone includes considerable effort into establishing it as one, which makes it less... inappropriate. That was my concern.

Yes, I've been practicing so that I could do more. Ame-kun let me practice a lot when he finished up with patrol.

Mandible to Mandible contact is generally considered to be a romantic gesture in some cultures. But you should continue to practice. It will assist in your stamina.

O-oh n-n-no it's not like that. We haven't, Ame-kun and I have been. . . I've been practicing by using his hand, t-though there was one time I [Yuiko will be turning bright pink now, she had kissed him on the check one time.]

Accidents happen in this sort of thing. It is a somewhat inappropriate power as is, so they are almost unavoidable. Regardless, that is more than I needed to know, I assure you.
