The Grey Sickness is officially declared gone and Asgard begins tearing down its walls.

DAY 580 ( MAR. 5/6 )

Honir permanently opens the portal for travel between canon worlds and Yggdrasil. Henceforth, any character can come and go as they please.

DAY 583 ( MAR. 11/12 )

Frigg gives any willing Travellers the ability to redesign the earth through expressions of emotion or art. Asgard has a huge tree-planting party with blessed water to encourage faster growth.

DAY 585 ( MAR. 15/16 )

Small councils are formed with Travellers at the head of them to begin rebuilding the new kingdoms around the world.

DAY 590 ( MAR. 25/26 )

New Giants are born neutral of any bias for people to bring into the world with the Lokis as their Kings.

[She shakes her head. No. They're not going to talk about depressing things like that.]

[She laughs a little then sighs.]

Hey, I have a question.

[Oh? He tilts his head and nods.]

Do you think I could become someone great like you or Des or Ezzy?

[pushesgently]

[He's quiet for a moment, giving the question its due consideration. Riley deserves a real answer, not an automatic assurance. But in the end, his answer is the same either way.]

That depends on you, and whether you are able to put in that sort of effort, to commit yourself. It isn't easy—for every thing I've done that I can be proud of, I look back and see the mistakes that led to it.

But I think you're capable. Everything is permitted, Riley.

[There are a lot of reasons why she likes Al but one of the main ones is just that he is always willing to be honest with her. He will speak to her like an adult and not beat around the bush. If she asks him something then he will give her real answers instead of giving her some bullshit reason to dodge things.

To her it shows that he respects her and that he believes in her. It shows her that she really fucking matters.

It's why she's so damn loyal to the Assassins and always will be.]

You know, it means a lot that you would just tell me the truth. That you don't treat me like I'm too stupid or young to handle something. I...never really got that when I was where I grew up.

We're all capable of more than we think. But too few are willing to believe that.

If those who knew you saw you as less than you are, that was a loss. But I hope it's not only gratitude that keeps you with us. Even now, if you chose a different path, it would be your right.

[She laughs then shakes her head.]

You know, I always saw the fucking worst situations and was forced to do some of the worst things possible. But I still found the fun in things. A light I guess. The real reason why I joined you guys and why I'll never leave?

[She looks right at him, completely serious as she finishes.]

You guys see that stuff too and you'll fight for it. You'll even find the time to party it up when things are shit. For awhile I only had Ellie because of how I lost my parents. When I'm with you guys, I have a family and a purpose and people that want me and believe in me.

[And she gives him a smile that just seems to light up the entire city.]

I have life.

[This is the kind of talk that makes all the hard work worth it. At his lowest points, Altaïr has wondered what his efforts in spreading the Creed will lead to. He has a legacy in Desmond, yes, but is it worth the blood and suffering? Will it make the kind of difference he wants it to?

In people like Riley, he sees that it does. Her words will see him through the hard times.]

And long may you live it.

[However long she has with this second chance, he's certain she won't waste a day.]

I expect great things from you, Riley. I hope you'll have something to show us when we do find our way back here.

How about this? We set up a test for every time you come in. That way you can mark my progress and see how close I get to being on your level.

[They have to come up with a test, of course. However, she figures it's a good idea.]

[On his level? That could take a long, long time. Which is exactly the idea.]

I think that sounds perfect.

[He doesn't know what will happen when they go home, what they'll remember, how they'll return. But he's certain that if it's within his capabilities, he will return to Asgard to see his family.]
