[ Exploring would probably be the smart thing to do. Gai suggested they should go explore together and Shu follows his orders most of the time. They weren't in Funeral Parlor anymore, but they were still doing this sort of thing. It was kind of refreshing for him. As for Gai, Shu didn't want to be stuck with him again so he had contacted Ange prior. With all the times he's pestered her over simple things, he wondered if she's bothered by his persistence. He never really knew what she's thinking even though he should know her by now. The fact that she had agreed to come along made him happy, but he can't keep bugging her forever. Some day he's going to have to figure out how to do things on his own.

As he walked towards the designated meeting place he couldn't help but worry about Inori and Yozora. Yozora's been missing for a few days and Inori might get lonely. That goes without saying Shu's walking pace was extremely slow. He'd probably arrive there twenty or thirty minutes late without realizing it. ]

[Now Shu's just listening to orders and following quietly.

What's so wrong about this? It's like old times so he might be a little happy.

He doesn't seem to have a problem keeping up. Only if Gai starts running then they're screwed. Shu sucks at anything physical.

For now he will stare at his surroundings and observe them. It's really different from what they're normally used to.]

[entreats]

[ Well, Ange usually doesn't really listen to anyone since she's too stubborn, but.. hey, they're just heading out, so it's not even really like listening, she's just sauntering along, that's all. She's pretty much on guard though, since she doesn't trust any of this one bit.

Yes, both Shu and Ange are quiet, deal with it, Gai. ]

[voidseeing]

[That's just the way he likes things, so there won't be any complaints from him. And besides, if they're quiet, they're less likely to attract any unwanted attention to them, plus it's easier for Gai to hear anything approaching.

But as they walk, his pace gradually begins to slow, though it isn't noticeable at first. He's just going to keep going on and ignore it for the moment...]

[departing]

[Shu notices the speed Gai's going at.

It's not unusual for him to be slow here. Maybe he's just being careful.

They're further away from the city so it would make sense.

He could also be tired, but that's the furthest thing from his mind.

Gai can't be tired. He has the stamina of a cheetah.]

[entreats]

[ Ange's not noticing it about Gai just yet, really - she's caught up at staring at the surroundings so much since she's not really used to travelling with people she should actually pay attention to (like Amakusa, he can take care of himself either way). ]

[voidseeing]

[Gai's doing his best to keep tabs on the surroundings too, but doing that and walking is somewhat difficult when he keeps having to shake off dizzy spells. He'll be damned if he lets either one of them know that anything is wrong, though, so he just continues doggedly walking on despite the occasional falter to his steps.]

[departing]

[Gai's movements are unusual to Shu, if anything.

It wasn't so bad at first, but it might become a problem.

Now would be a good time to ask.]

Hold on a minute.

We should take a break.

[No, he's not tired. Don't misunderstand.]

[entreats]

... Huh?

[ With that Ange snaps back to the situation at hand, stopping with walking too. And she's totally misunderstanding since she didn't notice Gai yet and all.. ]

Are you tired already, Shu?

[voidseeing]

[Gai is quick to seize this opportunity and divert the attention away from himself.]

It's not much of a surprise when you consider he can barely run a mile without falling over.

[departing]

We've been slowing down.

For a while now.

Gai's the one who's leading, not me.

[entreats]

[ She doesn't think Shu's lying - why would he lie about this? - and he sucks at it so Ange would notice if he was. So instead she glances at Gai, raising an eyebrow. ]

Slowing down.. are you okay?

[voidseeing]

[Gai just looks decidedly unimpressed, even annoyed with all of this.]

I was trying to keep Shu from complaining, but if it doesn't bother you, we can speed up again.

[departing]

What do you mean 'keep me from complaining?'.

That's not how it looked like from here. We shouldn't speed up.

I'm against it.

[entreats]

[ Yeah, he's just making excuses - or that much is what Ange guesses when she glances towards Gai. ]

You know, if something is up you should just tell us. It could be dangerous to all of us, so isn't that the kind of thinking a leader should follow?

[voidseeing]

I think I'm in a better position than you to judge whether or not something is wrong.

[He's glaring now, grey eyes flashing. Really, are they going to waste time on this?]

[departing]

[Wow, rude?

This isn't acceptable especially since even now Ange noticed.

So if you don't mind Shu will go walk up to Gai and try to punch him.

You might

want to stop them.]

[entreats]

[ Ange is not easily intimidated, hence why she maintains her pokerface even when she notices Gai's expression and hears his harsh words, as if it doesn't even faze her in the slightest. It's not difficult to notice Shu moving though, and in a split second she realises that once again she has to be the responsible one, the peacekeeper, because this surely is not the right moment to go and beat each other up.

At least her power comes in handy here.

So after a step or two, Shu might find it incredibly more difficult to move - or just find himself unable to move in general. It's a good thing Shu is pretty weak-willed or the body control wouldn't be this easy, it already takes quite some effort now to keep him rooted to the spot. ]

Shu, don't. [ Saying it as if he still had a chance to.. then she glances at Gai. ]

And you know, I don't care if something is wrong and you exhaust yourself to the point where you just drop dead. That's just your own choice. I'm just saying that it might be more profitable for us all if that doesn't happen right now. ... That's all. [ As casual and distant as ever. ]

[voidseeing]

[Gai is so accustomed to reading people and assessing the situation on the fly that it takes him a mere split-second to figure out just what is going on. If Ange is in Hel, that means her power must be body control... which explains why Shu isn't moving, instead standing right where he is as if he's stuck there.

Well, that makes things easier for him.]

I'd never allow myself to drop dead in front of anyone else, especially not Shu. He'd probably never recover from the sight of something like that.

[Turning his attention back to the frozen-in-place Shu, he strides over and... tosses Shu over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes. Yep.]

[departing]

[Gai.

Ange.

What do both of you think you're doing?

Trying to get a good handle of his surroundings since he's been flipped around by Gai.]

What is this?

[Pout.]

I can walk. Let go please.

[Cries.]

[entreats]

[ What Ange's doing would be 'saving your ass from doing something stupid'. But then again, she's not sure what Gai is doing either, and just that action makes her surprised enough to release her mental hold on Shu's body, frowning instead. ]

Yeah, I'd like to know too. What is this? [ stop being such an s&m couple in front of her, god!! ]

[voidseeing]

We're moving on before this idiot gets any other stupid ideas.

[And now, addressing Shu (with a smirk that Ange won't be able to see from there):]

Just be a good boy and be quiet.

[... except he's moving the hand that's anchoring Shu on his shoulder just enough so that Shu will be anything but quiet in approximately half a second.]

[departing]

What's with that look on your face? Do you have any idea what you're doing?

[And then some whimpering noises from Shu. He is a dog.

Kicking violently hoping Gai will lose his grip.]

[entreats]

[ ... Why.. what.. are you two.. even doing..

She's not sure if she wants to be a part of this. Or associated with this. I don't want to live on this kakera anymore.

Instead she will just.. awkwardly stare - well, still with her deadpan expression, but she feels pretty awkward under it. Are you guys forgetting in the middle of your innuendo that there's a third person here too.. ]

[voidseeing]

[Jeez Ange, where do you think his hand even is? It's just on Shu's butt, that is totally tame okay. The smirk he flashes her after that should make it pretty clear that he's just doing this to get a reaction out of Shu-- which isn't very hard, to be fair. Shu is reacting quite nicely.

But when Shu starts to kick, Gai will tighten his grip a bit to keep him from sliding off and faceplanting into the ground, and given where his hand is...]

[Loudly screaming now. His face is so red right now and he's covering his shame with his hands. ]

Gai...
