(OPEN!) ... Nc5xb3
Who: Hanako (
burntviolet) and YOU!
What: After this network post was made, three days passed indeed. There will be lots of chess playing and the general cute stuff that happens when a girl named Hanako is involved.
When: Day 80, from morning to late afternoon.
Where: Sigyn House's yard.
Rating: PG, just to be safe.
Note(s): It's not only about the chess itself, and you don't need to have commented to the network post if you want to play/chat with her. You could be a passer by and spot her, or watch the game as a third party, or just enjoy drinking tea with her. Anything goes!
Also, since I really can't chess for the life of me, it's ok if we keep the game vague with the moves and all that stuff. |Dc
[When Hisao went to pick Nashi up for the daily jogging session, Hanako took a shower, dressed herself casually, and prepared herself psychologically for what's to come shortly later.
And there she is, sitting by a round table in the garden, with her precious and finely carved chess set laying in front of her. The pieces are still inside, waiting to be used. She knows that people might have preferences with either black or white, so she's going to wait before setting them on the board.
She even thought of bringing a tray with a teapot, sugar, milk, and a small pile of beakers. If the guests will be more than one, it wouldn't be convenient to bring tea cups and wash them in-between encounters. She hopes they like black tea. And she also hopes they like those chocolate chip cookies that she's put on a plate next to the tea, as well.
It looks like she's trying to do her best to make her opponents feel comfortable.
So while she waits, you can find her leaning back on her chair, fingers entangled together nervously on her lap as she looks down at the chessboard. Are you the one who accepted her challenge? Are you just passing by? Whoever you are, come on and talk to her~]

Being that he was the White side of the board today, he moved a pawn.
"But yes - she's resting in your room with a big bowl of water and a few treats. I'm glad she seems to enjoy our runs as much as me."
He was actually pretty attached to the little dog by now - He spent a lot of time petting her when he thought no-one was really looking.
no subject
"She always liked doing active things. I am grateful because you're covering that up. I don't often go out, as you know." She moves a pawn of her own, musing.
no subject
"Well, she needs good, active time to grow strong. I'm more than happy to help out - it's really a lot of fun for us both. And some mornings, Hibiki joins us too which is extra nice."
Another pawn moved.
"Oh, remember the friend I mentioned? Satellizer? She's going to come over and play a little later too. I guess she missed your invitation on the network so I pointed it out to her."
no subject
She mimicked his move. "I was wondering about her. Thank you for pointing her to it."
no subject
He moved yet another pawn, well on the other side of the board, trying to eventually draw out her bishop.
"It's no problem - She's going to be along at around two this afternoon, so, a little while from now."
no subject
Instead, she moved her knight out. "Mhm. There will be no rush finishing this one, then." Unless she was going to beat him in a few moves.
no subject
Yet another pawn moved, closer to the last one. C'mon, Bishop.
"Yeah, we'll have some time to play first. I think you two will get along really well."
no subject
She freed one of her Rooks out, with the Queen and Bishops, and at least two Pawns tightly close to the King.
"I would hope so. From how you described her, she sounds too much like me."
no subject
Vroom - finally he had a Knight out of the starting block and ready for action.
"You two have a lot in common. I think you'll enjoy spending time together. OH! You know what I meant to tell you? I did get a job!"
no subject
She was about to make her move as well, but that sentence stopped her in midair. The game was going to pause for a moment.
"You got a job? Where?" Eyes moved up to him, in surprise.
no subject
He watched her piece suspended midair in her hand and smiled.
"I work as a male model in a fashion boutique called Ayame, run by a guy of the same name. I haven't done a lot yet, but he's really nice."
no subject
"A... model? Like, those who appear in photos and show their underwear?" Hanako, no...
no subject
"Um. No. LIke the kind that shows off clothes that are less revealing than underwear. In fact, I asked specifically only to show clothes that don't require me to be shirtless."
no subject
"Oh... oh, sorry for assuming then. Um, uh... did you already start the job?"
no subject
He eyed the piece she'd been about to move. "....it's your turn, don;t forget."
no subject
Then she snaps back. "Ah, uh... yeah. I was thinking." She went through with the move this time.
no subject
...well, her teeth were small! And all the furniture was so heavy. She might accidentally chip a tooth.
He followed up with a swift move of his own - bishop sliding out to take one of her pawns while itself sitting safely untouchable.
"First pawn goes to me!"
no subject
That small victory would only last that long - because with her own Rook she captured one pawn, and from the position, it couldn't be caught.
"You shouldn't act like you won just because you got one pawn." She reprimanded him gently.
no subject
Hisao's smile faded just slightly as he moved his Knight into play, dangerously close to catching that same rook.
"Hey, one pawn is still an achievement if it's the first piece taken. Normally you draw 'first blood' when we play." He smiled wryly. "And today? I'm feeling lucky."
no subject
"What a coincidence, I'm feeling lucky too." She'd won more than half the matches before Hisao came, so she was feeling more confident about it.
no subject
He marched another pawn up the board.
"Well then, maybe we'll draw?" he joked.
no subject
"Hm, we'll see about that." She made just a small smile, bringing out her bishop - but only to guard the situation, placing it in a safe spot. It'd be good to fast forward the game a bit, shall we?
no subject
"I wonder if anyone plays Risk here? Have you tried that game before?"
no subject
no subject
And he still couldn't be called aggressive - The pieces of his she had taken well outnumbered the pieces he'd taken from her side of the board. But his King was very steadfastly protected and his queen was still in play.
"Are you going to play Tavros' game when he gets it set up?"
