[When Hisao went to pick Nashi up for the daily jogging session, Hanako took a shower, dressed herself casually, and prepared herself psychologically for what's to come shortly later.

And there she is, sitting by a round table in the garden, with her precious and finely carved chess set laying in front of her. The pieces are still inside, waiting to be used. She knows that people might have preferences with either black or white, so she's going to wait before setting them on the board.

She even thought of bringing a tray with a teapot, sugar, milk, and a small pile of beakers. If the guests will be more than one, it wouldn't be convenient to bring tea cups and wash them in-between encounters. She hopes they like black tea. And she also hopes they like those chocolate chip cookies that she's put on a plate next to the tea, as well.

It looks like she's trying to do her best to make her opponents feel comfortable.

So while she waits, you can find her leaning back on her chair, fingers entangled together nervously on her lap as she looks down at the chessboard. Are you the one who accepted her challenge? Are you just passing by? Whoever you are, come on and talk to her~]

[Hanako sees the woman coming, and while admiring the dress, she also bows at her politely. Then, she gestures at the tea and cookies awkwardly.]

[Well, well, well. This isn't Jacob's favorite game (his heart will always belong to senet) but appreciates it enough to come over to sit across from Hanako, smiling at her as he clasps his hands in his lap.]

[STRANGER ALERT- oh no wait. It's the girl she welcomed the other day. Hanako carefully straightens her hair to cover that part of her face properly, then she turns to face Dawn.]

[after Chie had responded to Hanako's initial invitation, she'd tried to read a few "how to play chess" books in the library, just so she didn't appear completely clueless when she came to her friend's place to play. she'd never been one for reading, though, and the way the books explained it all used big and complicated words for the most simple things... needless to say, she soon gave up that endeavor. she figured she'd just wing it. what's the worst that could happen, right?]

[Iceland is easily drawn in by chess invitations, so he makes the trek to Sigyn three days after Hanako's network post. It's easy enough to spot the girl with the chess board, at least.]

[Welp, as promised Yori is going to Siygn to play chess! ...Admittedly he is not the best player, and he technically cheated all the time back home because he couldn't help it, but this would be a good experience.]

[Hanako hasn't seen Yori in person, so she stiffens up a little when he walks up to her. However, the voice from that audio reply resurfaces in her memory and she relaxes a bit.]

After a short conversation, Satellizer made note of coming to the place that she was directed to. Always one to be on time, she made her way and stayed a bit of a distance away observing.

She seemed mostly okay with being out and about today if only because someone she had met earlier during her arrival would be meeting with her as well. Hisao had said that his friend was kind and timid. At least that put her a little at ease, not being one to do well in social situations.

Well, it turned out that Satellizer was lucky: most of the people who came to play already left, and Hanako was now alone on the spot (unless Hisao was still tagging along). She moved her gaze to the new person, and bowed her head lightly.
