[OPEN DARKNESS EVENT LOG][DAY 128]
Who: ERRYONE IN ASGARD
What: The Darkness Plot!
When: Night of day 128!
Where: ALL OVER
Rating: Seriously PG-13 at the most I'd think if it changes LET ME KNOW
[The natives tonight are... odd. Off. There's something about them that doesn't seem right, doesn't feel natural. If they spot you, they'll pursue you. If you run, they will follow. Only in the light will you be safe, and the shadows of the incoming threat will seem to disappear in the air as quickly as they came.
What's going on?????]

At first, she had thought it was nothing but her imagination. Being out during the night was unsettling enough, after all, and it could have easily enough been her paranoia acting up. However, when she heard it a second time, she knew she wasn't imagining things. What, exactly, was it? She wasn't sure--until she spotted it as she passed by a particularly dark spot on her way back to her own Welcome Hall. And, really, all it had needed was a second of hesitation as she stared at it to say something far too distorted to be human and lunge at her.
And, well. From experience, she really should know better than to be by herself unarmed at night. At first, she had tried to simply outrun it. However, when a handful of others noticed her and also gave chase, she knew it would be hard to reach safety like this. Using a rusty metal pole she found on the way, she tried cutting her way through them--but it was really no good. As such, should anyone be out and about as well during this night, they'll find Eve running through the streets as fast as she can and trying to whack these seemingly invincible abominations.]

It would be night by the time he finally left, drawing an agitated sigh from the farmboy. Under his arm was... was a young pig. This one had been brought from home, and was similarly freaking out about something, writhing in his arms and trying to climb up onto his shoulders.
He'd be fighting with the pig, trying to get it to settle when he saw her. A lone girl trying to beat back a group of... things with a rusty pole.
"Git back!"
He set the pig down, running over, using his Thor strength to pick up a nearby bench and throw it at the group of creatures, knocking them back.
Only... they started pushing it away to get back up. That's when he noticed he had a message, fumbling with his bracelet only to hear a panicked voice: "Shou! Are you inside? Make light and tell me where you are."
Fuck.
"...C-cmon!" He knew of a few good places in the park to hide, if that's what it came to.

Turning and running in his direction, she signals at him to follow. This was her district, after all, and she had learned enough to know which spots were hard for big crowds to get into, without leading herself and this guy into a dead end.
"These guys won't go down!" she says, pole still firmly gripped as she runs, ready to swat away anything that dared try to sneak up on her. "Don't bother hitting them to kill!"

He follows after her, unarmed except for Thor strength, which he would use should the need arise. Based on the way kicked the Taken's legs out from under them, he'd been in a few brawls in his day. But never anything like this.
"Someone told me t' go inside an' make light! Y' know a place?" He checked his bracelet for any more information than that, but he couldn't focus on it. They had to keep moving.
He would have offered the park, but the only hiding spots he could think of involved climbing trees or hiding in the barn, neither place would be equipped with anything that made light unless they started some kind of fire.

"Yeah, sure," she replies, a bit too casually for the situation. Then again, she supposes she's been through similar things in her life--only, decidedly less shadowy. "Watch your step. I don't have the time to be rescuing any stragglers."
Selfish? Yes. But she wasn't about to risk her neck for some guy she's only just met.
