[Open log for anyone who happens to be in the Loki district during the hugging event! Hop in, tag other characters, and/or make your own threads. Thread starters, please make sure to include your character's location (Welcome Hall, streets, shops, etc.) and the exact day (89 for general hugging, and 90 for sticky hugs) in the subject line for convenience. [ don't take the laughing that's coming from your best friend personally, roxas; he's not making fun of you. not completely, anyway. it's just that the blonde is so clueless and he has a suspicion of what's really going on here.

[ this is a name he's never heard before, ever. for some reason he was thinking this was a conversation centered on the journal girl; at least in that situation he had an answer. his eyebrows furrow and and he raises his soda with attempt to down the last of it, but stops. ]

Nakama, Rapunzel, Hanako. You're quite the social butterfly, aren't you? [ that said, he goes on to finish his drink. a little jealous? nooo. i mean, it's not like he's made them his best friends or anything... ]

Well those are just a few. Haven't you been making any new friends? [ .......yeah okay as soon as he says that he gets the feeling axel does not do that much. at all. ]

Hey, it's not as easy for me as it is for you. [ roxas is adorable and easy to approach whereas axel is ... complicated. ]

[ And you know he immediately thinks of the worst possible scenario for this? Seeing as Axel's a Nobody and HAS NO FEELINGS Roxas assumes that's what he's talking about and looks a little sheepish. Not everyone has the luxury of fake memories :c ]

axel's starting to get resigned to the fact that, well, roxas is growing up (as much as it's possible for him to, anyway), and this parental bestfriendship they have going on can't be the boy's only relationship anymore. he's a little proud of his progress somewhere deep down, and he smirks to himself as his line of vision darts down to the world below. ]

[ face it Axel you are jealous and THAT IS A REAL EMOTION. And so is feeling proud of someone jsyk c:

Axel's words have his attention though, and Roxas watches Axel's gaze drift down to their surroundings. It's moments like these that he remembers he really doesn't know that much about this guy--hardly anything really, but it just feels...easy. Maybe even distantly familiar. It's just easy to click with him in a way it isn;t with most others. Though is that because they're Nobodies, or...?

The subject makes him look down at his own hands for a moment. He's pretty sure he's got a good enough handle on what he's been practising to try...and up here where there's no distractions is as good a place as any. There isn't anyone else around to make him lose focus. ]

[ he looks back over at roxas and his face is completely wrought with confusion. ]

[ there's a brief moment's worth of hesitation before offers roxas his hand. ]

Alright, but try anything weird ...

Like what?? Geez... [ Where's the trust best friend? Where's the trust.

Hopefully Axel doesn't count Roxas using a bit of her power as "weird" because that's what he's going to do--but this time it doesn't go all out of control. He's only using enough to produce what should be calm and happy feelings within the taller Nobody, gauging by the warmth in his chest the power causes.

...I've been practising to get it just right. This...should be what real feelings are like.

his fingers begin to curl and he makes the slightest move to withdraw his hand, but thinks better of it. or, rather, all those disney feelings are starting to wash over him and he swears if metaphorical hearts could beat, his would be beating right about now. roxas is right, it's a good match for what it's supposed to be like. he wants to say something. anything. but all that's happening right now are these feelings and also...well, he doesn't it's that gods-given compulsion to hug that's driving him to embrace the blonde right now or if he's being charmed, but either way, roxas, enjoy what's most likely to be the tightest and most heartfelt of hugs in three, two, one ... ]

[ Roxas was pretty sure he almost used to be tackled or pulled into hugs by now, but even still this catches him a bit off guard. Certainly not in a bad way, but for several moments he has trouble believing Axel of all people is the one to initiate it. Surely if it were the Gods this would have happened when they first saw each other...? Unless...it's for the feelings?

When he hugs back it's not nearly so tightly as Axel is, but both arms wrap around the taller's torso, face turning so the side rests against Axel's chest. best friiieeend♥ ]
