[OPEN + CLOSED] Just stay awake, stay alive
Who: An unconscious/half-conscious Ezio (
sicarius) and you!
What: WELP. Looks like someone's bleeding all over from suddenly disappearing and then reappearing back in the city.
When: Now, day 95
Where: ...lmao I have no clue THE HORSE HAS A MIND OF ITS OWN??? They'll head towards Sigyn in the open section though so idek
Rating: PG-13 at most, he's kinda bleeding because he was shot whoops
Note: Ezio will be found by the AC crew first and so that part will be closed. Then he'll be taken by horse to the hospital, which will be open.
[This is all wrong.
He hadn't expected it- to sleep in Asgard for just a second, only to be back home and not remember anything of the city run by the gods. Not remember the faces, the names, the adventures...
Not even the promises made.
Right now, Ezio can barely register anything around him. His right shoulder feels cold and he can't seem to move it, let alone move the rest of his body. It's like a dead weight, the trodding of the horse the only thing that is constant and very real at this moment. He's been traveling, traveling, making his way to Roma to warn Machiavelli and everyone else of the ambush of the villa. The sabotage of Monteriggioni. The death of his uncle by Borgia hands.
How many people would he keep losing to them?
His semi-conscious train of thought vaguely registers the sound of a thud, and a slight pain that comes from his side, though he's too weak to even realize he's fallen off his horse. The maestro only hears it, thinks of it as something he might have hit or bumped into, doesn't register that he's on the road of Asgard by now and bleeding out against the ground. All that comes to his ears is the sweet sound of silence, that guarantees rest. And for once, he does not argue, letting unconsciousness take over and slip him into an endless and empty void.]

You're looking very pretty.

I would have chosen something far more suitable, had I been given a choice.

[She's not exactly in the mood for banter.]
What happened.

[Oh, he noticed. He's had enough sorrow and doesn't want to dwell on it right now. Not only has he lost his uncle, but also worried people sick here.]
Back to Monteriggioni. And to the ambush the next morning.

[For a moment, that's all she says. Then she walks over and sits on the edge of the bed and takes Ezio's hand in hers. She sits there in silence for a long moment, holding his hand. Then, softly,]
Mi dispiace.
no subject
Grazie.
[If he were capable of showing the torment to her, he would, but the emptiness of his words should hopefully be enough to describe how he feels.]

[She says it just as softly as before.]

[Bitter towards the Borgia? Yes.]
no subject
Did you kill him? No. The Borgia killed him. There is no one else to blame.

And they will have much to pay for. Not only for Mario's death, but for your capture, and the raiding and killing of innocents within the villa.

Sì, I know. What has happened in the time that I was gone?

Apparently all of the hugging was a contest the gods gave us. Sigyn won, and you all received a prize of some sort.
And then people grew older or younger for some reason, I wasn't exactly paying attention. It seemed to cause some consternation, though.

So it was a game, then. I should not be surprised.
[And a nod.]
I see. It has been relatively quiet when it comes to the war.

[A pause.]
It will not be easy, Caterina. The battles here are nothing like home, back in Forlì, Firenze, or even Roma. We need to be careful.

When you're feeling better, you'll have to tell me everything.

[A pause before he asks-]
Have you seen Altaïr at all? I have heard of Malik's and Kadar's disappearance, but have yet to hear anything about him.

We will see him when he's ready.
