What: Right what it says on the tin: an open log at the Pokemon-themed cafe, Poketopia! There's gonna be a seperate thread for new workers, but otherwise you can go crazy. Order food! [ those are the first words that your character will hear upon entering the red and white-decked cafe interior. the smell of baked goods has filled the air, and bustling male and female workers are busy waiting on tables and rushing back to the kitchen for new orders.

on the windowstills, flower pots have berry plants growing in them. cards are next to the plots, giving the names of the berries and their flavours. feel free to try one -- just stay away from the spicy berries, unless you want to breathe some fire.

don't feel as hungry as you thought? relax and kick back in the lounge portion of the cafe. you won't be able to order food, but our waiters and waitress will happily get you something to drink. but if you do feel like eating something, take a seat! your server will be with you momentarily with our full menu. ]

Ah, hello, Hanako. How are you? [ At least she can properly do her job if there's a familiar face here. ] And is it? I guess it's not usually the sort of work I'd go for, but...

... Oh, I'm sorry. It shouldn't have been a surprise to me. [ haha... she wants to shrink down. ] I wanted to take a look here and eat something. I've been busy all day, so...

It's a little surprising. It took a bit of thought before I signed up...it's enjoyable work, however.

You're busy? I see. Have you also got a job?

Hm... no, it's not a job. I'm actually working on the Traveller festival. Have you heard of it?

Traveller festival? I must have missed that...I don't often check the network...what's it about?

[burntviolet]

It's an idea Conan-kun had to prove a point to the gods, against all the abuse and forcing they have done to us. Because most of the events here were guided by the gods, we never had a chance to stand up to them. [ She narrows her eyes. ] After the Arbor Day, I thought I could do something that could bring even more attention from natives and travellers alike. A part that is just about us. Our festival.

[ Jasmine's eyes widen. ]

You know...I'd never thought of it like that. Even if something good happens, it's always because of the gods' whims, and they can so easily change their minds...

And...um...I like the idea of natives and travellers both enjoying themselves. It's nice and fair.

[burntviolet]

That's right. The Olympics was a proof of how they can easily manipulate our emotions by organizing an event like that to let us have fun. Next time, I bet they'll curse us to compensate for the positive feelings.

[ She frowns deeply, saying that. ] But this time, if everything goes right, we can enjoy ourselves the way we want to, not how they want us to.

It's rather patronising. But...haha, I didn't take part in the Olympics anyway. I wouldn't have been good at any of the events...

But yes, this is more balanced. When are you planning it for?

I only joined one of the games because I wanted to prove something to myself, but I didn't win. I can't say it was that fun to me, but I did watch the other contests and cheer for my friends back there.

It should be ready for day 123... in a little over a week. Conan-kun told me that.

It must be nice, cheering people on...at least there wasn't any cruel twist.

I've spoken to him once, but I'll have to get more information.

I'll try to, definitely! There must be jobs I could do. Decorations, or maybe a stall...perhaps the clinic is doing something...

There might be a stall for nursing and first aid in case incidents occur. We've thought of that already.

I'll probably go and help out there, then. Maybe even this place could participate.
