What: Right what it says on the tin: an open log at the Pokemon-themed cafe, Poketopia! There's gonna be a seperate thread for new workers, but otherwise you can go crazy. Order food! Check out the cute girls in maid outfits! All that jazz. If you're interested in applying OR want to see the menu, the cafe info/signup post is here!

"Welcome to Poketopia!"
 

[ those are the first words that your character will hear upon entering the red and white-decked cafe interior. the smell of baked goods has filled the air, and bustling male and female workers are busy waiting on tables and rushing back to the kitchen for new orders.

on the windowstills, flower pots have berry plants growing in them. cards are next to the plots, giving the names of the berries and their flavours. feel free to try one -- just stay away from the spicy berries, unless you want to breathe some fire.

don't feel as hungry as you thought? relax and kick back in the lounge portion of the cafe. you won't be able to order food, but our waiters and waitress will happily get you something to drink. but if you do feel like eating something, take a seat! your server will be with you momentarily with our full menu. ]

It's making Pikachu noises? Since... He's called a Pikachu. [ He really has no idea who else to explain it since that's how it seems to be.

Pikachu nods a couple of times as if to agree with Red's explanation before lifting up a paw towards Yozora, obviously wanting a handshake. ]

[ Oh my gosh, Pikachu is just melting her heart. ] Does he only understand Pikachu? [ Yozora shakes Pikachu's paw. ] P-pika...

[ Wait, Red's around. Time to tsun. ]

Um! What are you doing here!? [ He's your server, Yozora... ]

... I'm your server? [ Pikachu will just shake Yozora's hand, look at Red for a bit, and go Pikachu pi pika pi! Red will just glance at Pikachu for a moment before taking out a menu and placing that in her hands. ]

And he likes your hair. [ Taking out a notepad to jot whatever she wants down. ]

My h-- [ She pouts and tries to hide her red face. Stop saying unnecessary things, you guys. ] Th-thank, you...

[ A groan. She shouldn't have come here. ]

D, do you have anything cat-shaped available?

What about Meowth and Pikachu ice cream? You can see it on this page. [ Red will kind of flip through the menu that should be in her hands for her and point to the picture. ]

They're technically cat and mouse, if that's okay. [ Pikachu obviously thinks that the Pikachu part of the ice cream is the better half. ]

[ gasp ] It's fine. ... [ She breathes in, closes the menu and slides it towards Red. ] I'll go with two of that!

Two orders of Meowth and Pikachu ice cream. [ Red nods before stepping back a bit and Pikachu jumps onto Yozora's table with a Pikaaa!. ]

Thank you for coming to Poketopia, it will be ready in a bit. While you wait, Pikachu will entertain you.

[ And Red kind of fades out, leaving Pikachu with his little red bow tie here looking up at Yozora. Ears twitching Pikachu crawls a bit closer to the edge of the table before standing on his hind legs to get a better look at her.

Uwaaaah, this girl is cute Pikachu thinks. ]

[ Wh-why is he staring... Yozora looks left, then right. And then, she talks to Pikachu in a small, but slightly higher-pitched voice. ]

... P-pii Pi pika? [ CAN SHE PET YOU, PIKACHU... PLEASE SAY YES (fuu) ]

[ ... Pikachu is blinking a couple of times because that translated into something weird, but he gets the point he thinks so he'll nod a couple of times before sitting down.

Wait, he has to fix his bow tie first. There we go, he is ready for pets. ]

Pikachu pi pika!

[ Then this is the part where she pets him with gusto. ]

Ah, cats are the best, but I wish I could have a Pikachu, too...

[ He was enjoying it until he heart that. He seems mildly offended as he pouts with folded arms in front of his chest.

HE THINKS HE IS BETTER THAN ANY CAT, Y'KNOW... ]

Chuu pikachu pi pika! [ HOW DARE YOU. ]

[ She pulls her hand away, worried about what she might have done. COULD IT BE THAT HE DOESN'T LIKE CATS!? Nonsense. ]

What? P-pika... It's fine! Pikachu is second best! [ This is why she doesn't have any friends. ]

[ Yozora... Think about it! Pikachu is a mouse and you're saying you like cats in front of him. Not that he hates cats, but he was on bad terms with some of Team Rocket's Meowths.

Pikachu will forgive you though, Yozora! He'll nod to himself before patting her hand that retracted. He understands... Not everyone can process how great he is! Okay, no. Pikachu just understands that she likes cats like how Blue likes attention. ]

Pika chuu pi-i pika. [ His ears twitch a bit before prancing to get the utensils already nearby and-- ]

[ Red is back with her order! Two orders of the ice cream that is ironically the topic of Yozora's and Pikachu's strange makeshift conversation. ]

I hope you enjoy. [ And then Pikachu DESTROYS THE MEOWTH ICE CREAM WITH THE SPOON, scooping a bit of the cat's eyeball out and trots over offering the ice cream to Yozora!!

... Red is slightly appalled. ] Sorry.

[ Red, she is horrified. WHAT DID HIS PIKACHU DO TO HER MEOWTH? ]

What are y-! [ Yozora used Outrage! It wasn't very effective... because lunging in caused her to eat the ice cream anyway. She's silent for a moment as she tastes it. ]

... It's good.

[ Pikachu looks pleased that Yozora thinks it's good! And will continues to feed her, though it doesn't look like he has a biased opinion like before and is just mindlessly scooping the ice cream. ]

I think she can feed herself. [ Red will pick Pikachu up now who still has the spoon in hand. NOOOO, HE WAS GOING TO FEED HER MORE. ]

[ She wanted Pikachu to feed her!!!! But it's okay, doing that in front of Red is embarrassing anyway. ]

Uhh, anyway! You're, free to leave, now. [ Rude... ]

... Are you sure? [ He can tell she kind of likes Pikachu, so he makes the Pikachu wave a little paw. ]

I thought you wanted to play with him some more.

[ THAT'S REALLY SPECIFIC. ] ... What made you pick six?

[ She frowns when she is reminded of Red's presence. ]

Humans usually spend eight to ten hours awake. Thus, we spend fourteen to sixteen hours awake on the average. Six hours might seem short to you, but in reality, it comprises almost half of the time we are conscious. Therefore, what I am really asking is...

... Oh. [ YOZORA, you don't need to go through all of that. Jeez. He never thought he would meet such a strange and confusing person before, but it's not so bad. Yet. ]

[ She slowly turns her head to face Pikachu and ask him in a higher-pitched voice that might be her real voice all along. ]
