What: Right what it says on the tin: an open log at the Pokemon-themed cafe, Poketopia! There's gonna be a seperate thread for new workers, but otherwise you can go crazy. Order food! Check out the cute girls in maid outfits! All that jazz. If you're interested in applying OR want to see the menu, the cafe info/signup post is here!

[ those are the first words that your character will hear upon entering the red and white-decked cafe interior. the smell of baked goods has filled the air, and bustling male and female workers are busy waiting on tables and rushing back to the kitchen for new orders.

on the windowstills, flower pots have berry plants growing in them. cards are next to the plots, giving the names of the berries and their flavours. feel free to try one -- just stay away from the spicy berries, unless you want to breathe some fire.

don't feel as hungry as you thought? relax and kick back in the lounge portion of the cafe. you won't be able to order food, but our waiters and waitress will happily get you something to drink. but if you do feel like eating something, take a seat! your server will be with you momentarily with our full menu. ]

[She's got a thousand words lodged in her throat, but she just takes another sip of her drink and remains silent. She can't understand gods, she has no right to judge... still, that statement makes her hackles rise.]

[ Oops. Bad topic. ] Don't get me wrong! I don't think anything they're doing is right to say the least.

It's just that I know what it's like to want to stabilize the universe, but no one is willing to help you, and what's it like that just because you're a "god" everyone has these expectations.

Either way... They could have execute things better here. [ oh my God, Nakama. Don't die on her, she is a normal person here. She'll even offer some ice cream. ]

[She looks up from her drink, and her expression has cleared a little.]

I guess that makes sense. You're lucky, in a way, that you can understand them. Not many of us can.

I can tell... [ She has seen the replies to the post, basically. ]

But enough about me! What about you? [ STUFFS ICE CREAM INTO HER MOUTH as gently as possible. ]

Oh, I've mostly been doing the same as usual. Working, training, volunteering at the hospital. I planted some flowers for Arbor Day and made the lunches, that was pretty fun.

[And she got herself a boyfriend. But she won't be volunteering that information to such a tease.]

Aaaah, that sounds like a lot! I went to that Arbor Day thing and planted some venus fly traps. [ How dare you call her a tease!! It's not like she's doing it on purpose, okay?! ]

Have you been drinking lots of milk, too? [ okay, no, she does. ]

Drinking... milk? [That one went right over her head.]

You know...? So you can grow big? [ Take that as you will. ]

Order a milkshake!

I'm not going to be doing any more growing. [She glances away, a troubled expression on her face. Why did this always seem to come up?]

[windwalker]

Huh? Why not? [ Her eyes grow wide........ ]

Nakama. [ And some silence. ] Are you older than you look?!

No, that's not it. Before I came here... [She pauses, playing with her straw uneasily.] ... I died. So I'm pretty sure I'm not really aging here, not in the normal way.

[windwalker]

Ah... Death. [ Hmmm. She smiles fondly to herself as she ponders upon the topic. Asgard is such a strange place, yet this doesn't exactly surprise her at all! And yet... something continues to blare into her mind like instinct the dead should stay dead. ]

I guess you're not alone on that then.

[That's not really the reaction she was expecting, but she doesn't object. Yifei's a god, after all... they must have very different views on death.]

No, I've met a few people like me. It's... it's hard, knowing you're alive but you can't go home. I wish I could see everyone back there just once more.

That would be nice... Seeing those that you knew when you were alive one last time. [ It only seems like she's pondering about things, but it's a little more sincere. ]

Perhaps this is your chance.

I wish some of them were here sometimes... it wouldn't be fair to them, because they already have so much on their plates, but I'd like to see them.

There's nothing wrong about feeling that way, but I'm sure if they are brought here, they are brought here for a reason.

There's not much room to mope around your predicament when you can obviously do so much more.

I don't think I mope. [A bit defensively.] I just think about it. I try not to dwell.

Huh? [ She was never even referring to you, little Nakama! ]

There is no blame. [ She'll even pat her head. ] Point is, I'm really excited about the traveller's fest!

[Her nose wrinkles a bit at that headpat, but she says nothing.]

Oh, so am I. Conan should get a medal for everything he's done for this place when he gets to leave.

I've never met a seven year old that has done so much before. [ She's getting really suspicious now... You might actually be able to see it on her face as she mucnhes on her food mindlessly. ]

Well, he's kind of a genius, you know. He just can't sit still. His mind always has to be working on something.

I guess that makes sense, but he's also pretty mature... [ Which cannot be easily justified through intelligence, really.

She's just staring at Nakama with these big green eyes, boring into her soul, basically. ]

Some kids have to grow up too fast. It's just a reality of the world. I've never really been much of a kid myself.
