Who: Anyone! Poketopia workers, visitors, customers, ect.
What: Right what it says on the tin: an open log at the Pokemon-themed cafe, Poketopia! There's gonna be a seperate thread for new workers, but otherwise you can go crazy. Order food! Check out the cute girls in maid outfits! All that jazz. If you're interested in applying OR want to see the menu, the cafe info/signup post is here!

"Welcome to Poketopia!"
 

[ those are the first words that your character will hear upon entering the red and white-decked cafe interior. the smell of baked goods has filled the air, and bustling male and female workers are busy waiting on tables and rushing back to the kitchen for new orders.

on the windowstills, flower pots have berry plants growing in them. cards are next to the plots, giving the names of the berries and their flavours. feel free to try one -- just stay away from the spicy berries, unless you want to breathe some fire.

don't feel as hungry as you thought? relax and kick back in the lounge portion of the cafe. you won't be able to order food, but our waiters and waitress will happily get you something to drink. but if you do feel like eating something, take a seat! your server will be with you momentarily with our full menu. ]

Sort of, yeah. The weapon we had to use was powered by human life force. Nothing else would work. So to pilot it and kill the enemy, which would save the planet, you had to die.

So you're like a superhero... [ First thing that popped into his mind. A mecha pilot...

But, wow, that is pretty dark. He's really not sure how to respond to that. Uhm... ]

Would you like to order anything? [ Since his break should be over by now. ]

[She blushes, holding her hands up in a warding gesture.] Oh no, nothing like that...! I was just someone who did what she had to do. Nothing more.

[When he asks about her order, she bows.] I'm sorry, I've made this awkward, haven't I? Maybe I should just go. Thank you for telling me so much about Pokemon.

[ Ah... JUST TAKE COMPLIMENTS. He blinks a couple of times and watches her actions. ]

It's no problem--it was nice to meet you though. [ What else was there? ] My name is Red and I'm glad that you paid Poketopia a visit.

[ He'll give a server/butler-like bow in return. ]

Red... it's nice to meet you. I'm Nakama. I'm sorry I talked about everything back home.

[She walks away quickly, just wanting to distance herself from the awkward she's created. Very smooth, Nakama.]

... It's fine, Nakama. [ That... Only makes it even more awkward because he notices and is wondering why is she doing that. ]

It makes you less of a stranger.

[She turns around, just looking over her shoulder at first, then actually fully turning.]

You really don't mind? I know it's really depressing, but sometimes when I start talking about it, I just can't stop.

It's really different from my own, but it is what it is. [ He nods a couple of times. Looking off to the side, he does agree that it's kind of depressing, but it isn't his place to tell her what she should have done. It's her life. ]

As long as you live for what you believe in.

Yeah. I'm surprised that everyone believes me, actually... it's such a crazy story. I'd expect at least one person to think I was lying or had just lost my mind.

[She smiles a little, but her eyes are steely.] I always have and I always will.

... You seem honest. [ He shrugs. It's in the eyes, really, and he feels no shame just basing it on that. ]

And for your dreams, too.

[She blushes a little, her smile widening.] Thank you for trusting me.

My dreams...? I don't know what my dreams are right now, really... other than finding a way to go home and see my mom and help my friends. But the gods say that's impossible.

[ What does impossible mean again? Not really in his vocabulary yet. ]

Just as long as you don't give up on them.

No, I won't. If there's any way to get back, I'll find it. I've been given a second chance, and I have to make the most of it for everyone who didn't.

Didn't you say you were planning to leave?

[ Or maybe the awkward is still here. ]

Oh - um, yeah. Thanks for the introduction, though, I would've completely forgotten. Red. It's nice to meet you. And Pikachu too, of course.

Yeah... It's nice to meet you, too. [ He nods and Pikachu nods even more (more is better, obviously). ]
