What: A late onset (or singling out) of a de-aging curse. Vanitas will be his newly created self for the next few, in-game days, and will have no memory of his previous life.
When: Day 128.
Where: Hel and later Gefion Park.
Rating: G or PG, probably no more than that.



[Scenario One: Morning in Hel. There's a kid decked out in the weirdest spiderman costume ever, complete with helmet, prowling around the lower hallways. He looks like he could be lost, and when he spots the nearest inhabitant (lucky you if you happen to be just stumbling out of your room from sleep), expect to be accosted with questions.

"Who are you, and where am I?"]

[Scenario Two: Sometime after lunch, the masked boy has managed to wander out to Gefion Park. His attention's been caught by some geese... or actually, accosted, after he'd accidentally walked over their nesting site by the pond. And they seem to be intent on driving him as far away as possible by flapping their wings and nipping at his back as he tries to escape. Little help?]

[How was he supposed to know the mounds of grass by the bank were nests? >T]

[She chuckles and pats him on... the helmet.]

Well, you don't look too traumatized by it.

[showmeanguish]

[The pat makes him move immediately away, backing up a couple steps again. He looks tense.]

They're just birds. [Hardly anything to be afraid of, by contrast.]

[Hmm... she remains where she is, appraising him for a few minutes.

How old did he say he was? Or more specifically, how long ago he was created? He's shorter and sounds younger and doesn't act quite the same... maybe this is his version of that child curse she, Riku and Kaz got hit with? That would explain why he doesn't recognize her....]

As far as birds go those ones can be pretty vicious.

[She glances back - THE GEESE ARE STILL EYEING THEM.]

Anyway, I'm Euri!

So I can tell.

[Birds best be behaving, or they'll wind up cooked.]

Euri. How do you know me, again?

We met before. [This is a little surreal.]

... What's the last thing you remember?

In two days?

[Beneath his helmet, he purses his lips. That's something he'd rather not talk about, especially to someone he just met.] I fell asleep.

[That's amazingly vague, but surprisingly unsarcastic. He really must be cursed.]

... Hmm. Well, at least that doesn't sound bad. [She's going to start digging through her bag, stepping towards him again.] You don't remember anything about this place?

[showmeanguish]

['Not too bad'... but her action has him looking closely at her again, tensing.]

Should I? How could I know anything about it when I've only been... myself for two days?

[So that's what he meant by two days. He's just a baby!]

No, I guess not. But that's okay! [Once she finds what she's looking for she'll close her fist around it and pull it out of the bag.]

Hold out your hand.

[showmeanguish]

[There's that suspicious aire about him again, as he continues to stare.]

Why?

[It's hard to tell because of that helmet.]

I have something for you.

[Still suspicious! But it's not like she can tell if his eyes are open or closed... which they are very very open thanks. So after a second, he lifts his arm and slowly unclenches his hand out towards her, palm up.]

[Good boy! She's dropping this into his hand, complete with silly looking heart charm.]

[showmeanguish]

[And after she does, there's a few seconds of him just staring at it. What in the worlds...]

A key?

A cell phone charm!

... I didn't know it was for those phone-things until after I bought it, so it's kind of useless, but it's still cute!

[He has no idea what a cell phone charm is, but the fact that she gave him a key is...

A key with a heart beside it. He feels an unexplainable chill go through him, before he closes his hand around the charm.]

I need to go.

[She actually bought it for him in Utgard! It reminded her of that keyblade thing he mentioned having, even though the charm isn't really a blade. She figures even if he can't remember telling her about that that it's safe to give it to him now, since he doesn't seem like he'll throw it away or wreck it.]

- Huh? Why? Will you be okay on your own?

[showmeanguish]

Because Master-- [Wouldn't approve, and he's wary of that. It's funny how much he wanted to escape, and now that he's seemingly free, he's still afraid. Like he knows the other ball's going to drop at any moment.

Her last question makes him laugh again, but this time it's more like his older, bitter laugh.]

Yeah. I'll have to be.

[occulthymns]

[Unfortunately for him his responses are starting to worry her, and it shows on her expression. Not just the laugh - she remembers him talking about someone with that title, and nothing he had to say was particularly pleasant.]

Are you sure? This place is pretty strange.

[showmeanguish]

Then I'll fit right in.

Actually, in that outfit you'll stand out like a sore thumb.

[showmeanguish]

Whatever. [If she tries to make him take it off, she's going to have a much harder time of it than before.]

[She's too decent to try stripping a babby.]

You should at least take the helmet off! You look suspicious with it on.
