[So...it's day again, but Merlin gets the feeling things aren't quite over yet. There's still a strange uneasiness about the city, and everyone's still on alert for the next danger.

Merlin takes the time to check up on his friends--Morgana, who's fallen into a coma at the most inopportune time, and Mary, who'd just been killed. Swallowing, Merlin nudges Morgana's door open and stops short. His sympathy and sorrow flees briefly in the face of indignation and shock when he sees Mary singing softly and growing flowers in Morgana's hair.]

You!!! [Merlin points at her accusingly.] It was you the whole time! And here I thought Arthur had just left them in my hair on purpose, you sneak!

[At first she jumps damn near out of her skin in surprise (and almost throws a knife on reflex), but calms down when Merlin keeps talking. By the end of the rant, Mary has to hold back a shit-eating smile.]

Are you sure this is really the time to talk about this?

Wha--[Merlin sputters, completely wrong-footed. He looks between Mary and Morgana's still form, then sighs.]

Fine. But don't think you're getting out of it so easily!

[She fights to keep her face neutral and relatively innocent.]

I'm not trying to get out of anything. We just have more important things to deal with, that's all.
