[She offers him a warm smile, moving to sit down in a nearby chair now that he has what he needs.] What shall we speak of?

[They had agreed they would speak of home one day, and perhaps it wouldn't be unwise to keep it for happier times, but...

Well, we have expanded. Your son gave us the lands of Gedref, which are, as you know, quite lovely. I think perhaps a palace by the sea would be quite appropriate someday. [She smiles softly, feeling desperately homesick suddenly.] I suppose it has not change much otherwise. The forests are rich and lush, the hunting is very good. I try to go at least twice a month.

[He pauses, and gives Mithian a bit of a confused-like frown. Wait a moment... That's not right. He wouldn't give up those lands, but Arthur...? And why Arthur?]

[She smiles a little and nods, though it was awkward.] Yes. He granted them to be after he broke our engagement.

[That's right the differences in time, she shakes her head.] Perhaps we should speak of something else, your highness. I know the differences in time can seem... alarming.

[He waves his hands.]

Yes. [Oh, she's stepped in it now. She wonders how Arthur did not tell his father what news she had brought with her but at the same time, how could he have? There had been barely a day to let it sink in before this mess started.] There seems to be a great [Okay not so great but...] difference in 'timelines' as someone put it between Arthur and I.

[Then he is going to assume that he's dead. Not like he didn't know it's going to happen eventually.

He's well loved by the people. [That was more than evident when she was in Camelot.] And they think him a very good king. [Now, she's not sure how diplomatic it was of him to agree to a marriage and then break the agreement but at least he offered her the lands as some sort of compensation.]

[That makes him smile. Engagement fiasco aside... At least Arthur did what he could to repair that mistake, he supposes.]

He is quite lovable and from what I saw of the negotiations, he is wise and willing to work to compromise. All good signs of a good leader, I think.

It is, definitely. And admirable, as I take it he must still be young?

[She hesitates at that question because the answer might reveal that he dies prematurely but she knows that this very hesitation is answer enough.] Yes. Although I cannot tell you his exact age, I'm afraid. [Who can?]

[Oh, he can definitely tell the hesitation. So he figures he might as well try to soothe her obvious worry somewhat.]

I am very well aware that when one is king, one is not very likely to die of old age, Princess.

[She nods a little, looking apologetic.] I hope that it eases your mind to know that Arthur has been a good king.

There was never much doubt in my eyes, but I'm glad to be completely certain.

[She nods slightly, offering him another smile.] As am I. He was a good host when I was at Camelot.
