[Open] When darkness is upon your door
Who: Hanako (
burntviolet) and you!
What: Lilly is gone. Hanako doesn't take it very well, and tries to cope with the loss by going to the places she likes.
When: Day 137
Where: There will be two options: Library, and the park.
Rating: PG.
[ A - Gefion Park ]
[ It was nothing short of a horrible week for Hanako, just like it was probably for most people. But what hurt her the most was the notice that her best friend Lilly was missing from her room. One morning she headed there as usual to help her get ready for breakfast, and all her things, along with her own person, were nowhere to be found. The "Contact Not Found" sign on her bracelet was the ultimate confirmation that Lilly was no longer in Asgard. It hit Hanako harder than it should have, considering that now she's sure her friend was safe from the danger that lies here. Her company, although short-living, did help her emotionally during the Darkness attacks. She would have possibly broken down otherwise.
She's going to spend most of the morning in the park, sitting on the grass by the lake. Nashi's been left in the House. Hanako wanted to be alone while brooding. It doesn't look like she had a great sleep lately, either, looking at the clear bags under her eyes. ]
[ B - Great Library ]
[ Towards the afternoon, Hanako can be found at the library, sitting on her usual beanbag and mindlessly flipping through the pages of a random book she picked up. She's not reading it, though... her mind is wandering to other, unpleasant places where it shouldn't be. Not even her most favourite hobby is helping her. ]

"What about yours? I'm unfamiliar with the title."

"I haven't gotten much into the story yet." That was an excuse to say that she didn't even read the first chapter. She opened the book at a random page and left it at that.

"I see. Well, if it's good, you'll have to let me know. Oh, I finished the Nightlight books."
It had been... a struggle at points. But he'd finished them.

They sort of blended together in his mind and it was a little tricky to remember the exact sequence of events. But he'd toughed it out.
"....I think my favorite guy was the Werewolf." Until he wound up imprinting on the baby... though, he didn't want to complain too much about the books, being as Hanako was such a fan.

"Well, I'm glad we had a similar opinion of that - the Werewolves as a whole were my favorite aspect of the books. They had an interesting culture, too."

"...though, he isn't much better. He really doesn't stand up for his own interests much at all and can't take the hint that she just isn't that into him. He sort of just allows himself to be mistreated, so, she isn't completely to blame."

Which to him, was pretty much the ultimate act of selfishness. Especially being as she kind of ditched poor Wolf-Boy to do it so basically was riding off right in front of him to kill herself.
"....anyway, the fight scenes were generally a lot of fun, and I did like the Werewolves. Some of the Vampires were interesting. I liked the Doctor, and the girl who had premonitions. They were both pretty well written."
no subject
At least she'd agree with the other part. "That's what I think, too. I'd like to focus on the story and characters involved rather than the romance, honestly..."
no subject
He shrugged. He didn't want to argue about it at all - They would always have a different outlook on some things and this was one of them. He seriously hoped, though, that Hanako didn't see this girl as some kind of a role model.
"Yeah, me too. I didn't find it very romantic but the setting was interesting. I did wind up looking for other books on Vampires and Werewolves too, but in the Non-Fiction section. There are worlds out there where those exist for real, you know."

Everyone'd gonna have different viewpoints. Despite the admiration she kind of felt for the protagonist, though, Hanako would... never do half the things she did in the books, mostly because she wasn't brave enough... or stupid enough.
"There are some people here who claim to be vampires, aren't there? I talked to someone who said he was a werewolf, but I haven't seen him around since then."
no subject
"I've never met either one here, actually. My good friend Samantha is half demon. I think that's the closest I've ever come to meeting anyone like that."
no subject
...
Seconds after the mention of that name, Hanako had a double-take, her eyes widening, freezing on the spot.
"Sa... Samantha? Y-You know her?"
no subject
Hisao was given pause by her sudden change in demeanour. Maybe Hanako was scared of Samantha's reputation? Her 'bad side' had posted around the network, of course.
"Yeah. She's a good friend of mine - She's actually really nice if you give her a chance. I had coffee at her apartment a few weeks ago and we chat every so often."
no subject
"I see. You don't know what she'd done to Mirel-san, do you?"
no subject
Hisao smiled and shrugged.
"Anyway, I know Sam has her problems, but she's really a sweet person, even behind that gruff exterior she puts up on the network. I get the impression she isn't used to having many friends, so, it means a lot that she's kind of let me in a little bit, you know?"
no subject
"Hisao. There is something you need to know." But she didn't know if the library was the safest place to reveal it. All the same, he had to know what his supposed friend had been up to. "You won't like it, but I can't keep it a secret."
no subject
Hisao's reply came with a blank stare. What was she talking about? Had something really terrible happened between the two? He'd just been talking to Karu yesterday and everything had been fine.
"So, tell me. There's no-one else around right now."
no subject
"About three weeks ago... Samantha attacked Mirel-san. He sustained serious injuries, and was on the verge of death. Mirel-san told me that people with body scars particularly attract her."
... And that wasn't all. But because Karu hid that horrifying particular from her, she didn't know about the sexual implications and how worse she'd hurt him.
