Who: Hilda and you!!!
What: It isn't often that legendary Pokemon need baths. This is one of the days that they do.
When: Day 139
Where: the banks of the lake in Gefion Park.
Rating: PG???? i doubt it'll get worse than that.
[ it's a beautiful day, Asgard. the sun is shining, the air is crisp... a perfect day for a bath. yes, a bath.
it isn't often that a legendary dragon needs a good soaking, but with the recent fighting that Reshiram has gone through with the Darkness attacking, it's feathers have accumulated a good amount of dirt, and even small bits of dry blood where Hilda had healed it's wounds. you aren't a stone any more, Reshiram. that shit needs to go.
but how do you bathe a ten-foot tall dragon? you get creative -- and in this case, access to a large lake is getting creative. Hilda's brought it to one of the banks of the lake with supplies (a few large buckets, a large cleaning brush that would probably be used for some kind of vehicle, and plenty of soap), and the dragon has somewhat reluctantly agreed to the washing. it might have a lax nature, but there is some pride in looking neat and tidy.
so if you're near the lake, feel free to ask why there is a girl in shorts, a white shirt and a Pokemon protagonist™ hat sitting on the top of a white dragon's head, trying to scrub behind the long mane that's perpetually flowing in the wind. it you're lucky, you might even get a spray (or a drenching) of water when it gives it's wings a shake... depending on how close you are. she'd appreciate some help, or you can just look on and watch. ]

but the mention of Pokemon does make her perk up! she shimmies down Reshiram's neck to perch on it's back and get a better look at this boy, tilting her head. ]
Yeah! Are you a trainer? I haven't seen you around before...
no subject
That's right! I only got here two days ago. [And he continues looking up.... wow, that's a big Pokemon, probably bigger than any he's seen before. He's excited to see it, in any case, and grins brightly.]
Um, I'm Wally from Hoenn. I have my partner Gardevoir here with me.
no subject
No kidding! [ now you're even more interesting! she hops off Reshiram's back, jogging over to give this boy a closer look. he looks a little younger than her, come to think of it. ] Welcome to Asgard, then!
Hoenn... oh! There are two people from Hoenn here already -- have you seen 'em yet? [ AKA YOUR PROTAGONISTS. ]
no subject
Oh, and look.... Hilda is taller than him as well. Well, she does seem to be older
and he's not exactly the tallest guy around.]Thank you. [....] What region are you and your Pokemon from?
People from Hoenn? Um, do you remember their names or what they looked like?
no subject
omg you're kind of a moe, Wally... she'll cuddle you later. ]
We're from Unova! It's pretty far off from all of the other mainlands, so I don't see Pokemon from other regions too often... or people, come to think of it! [ she gives him a friendly smile! ]
Their names are Brendan and Haruka! Brendan's got this weird white hat-thing, and Haruka wears a bandana and bike shorts.
no subject
Unova? I've never heard of a place like that before. I've never left Hoenn.
[Wait, wait, back up.]
Brendan? Brendan's really here? [Wow, he's sure smiling brightly for someone that was rather astonished just a few moments ago.] I don't think I've ever met anyone named Haruka, but Brendan is [
his idol] an important friend of mine!no subject
[ that's when her smile gets bigger, along with a nod. ] That's great, then! He's in Sigyn house, and chances are he shouldn't be too hard to find. He's got a Rayquaza with him, after all.
no subject
Wow, his Rayquaza! That's amazing! I'm in the Sigyn house too so maybe we'll run into each other. [He's not going to wait in the hall or lobby for him to pass by. Seriously.]
no subject
I bet you will! You can even send him a message if you find his name on the bracelet network.

was a rebel] left on my own journey. Going to a new region sounds like lots of fun! You should visit lots of places if you have the chance. I wonder if I'll be able to someday? That's a good idea! Thank you, [Wait, he never asked for her name.... PAUSING NOW.] um, miss.
no subject
[ they don't even know each other's names yet, but she gets good vibes from this kid. ] Hey! Don't call me "miss", that's way too formal. My name's Hilda.
[ she offers a hand to shake. y/n? ]
no subject
You really think so? I'll try to do it if I can-- no, when I beat Brendan! He may have beaten me more than a few times, but one of these days I’ll catch up to him!
[Hey, he introduced himself! But this looks like the start of a good friendship indeed. And y, he'll be shaking her hand now. Not terribly confidently, but it's better than it would have been in the past, right?] It's nice to meet you, Hilda. You love your Pokemon a lot, don't you?
no subject
Just keep on training, and I know you'll be able to! I guess that means Brendan's a really strong trainer... as if Rayquaza wasn't proof.
[ sweet. she notices his light-ish grip, but she just meets it with her own confident one. he seems timid, but with some spark! ] Of course! Reshiram and I haven't been together for as long as the rest of my team... but we've definitely been through a lot. I don't know what I'd do if it wasn't here with me.
no subject
I'll keep training and challenge the Pokemon League someday! Brendan is the league champion, but I'm sure that I can win.... for both me and my Pokemon!
[He tries at the last moment to make his grip a bit more firm after noticing Hilda's.] I think the most important thing is that you care about and understand your Pokemon. Gardevoir is my best friend and the first Pokemon I caught, but I'm friends with all of my Pokemon, even if we met later on. You understand that, don't you, Hilda? [Oh no, here we go with the "must say someone's name every few sentences" trend....]
no subject
Just give it your best shot, then! You sound like you and your Pokemon have a pretty strong bond - I bet you could do it.
[ she smiles visibly when his grip tightens, but she lets go of his hand. wouldn't want a handshake to become awkward, after all. ] I sure do! You've definitely got the right way of thinking... that's great to see.
no subject
[He's still smiling, which is a bit rare since he's speaking to a stranger! People from other regions sure are friendly.] Do you really think so? I think you have to trust and believe your Pokemon before you can work together. I bet you and your Pokemon make a great team.
no subject
[ what a nice smile you have, o green haired child. she's just happy to meet another trainer! ] I do! Everyone has their own strengths and weaknesses, but we all try our best to work together. It's gotten us pretty far!
