Scenario A (New Camelot)
[Lugging back all of the things they'd gotten from Utgard isn't easy, but years of being Arthur's pack-mule has done wonders for Merlin's ability to handle and balance great loads. Of course, none of that exactly matters when the two, small forms that zoom out of his and Arthur's room and collide right into him.

Merlin's pretty certain one of them is Archimedes--he recognises the indignant screeches--but he doesn't have much time to ponder the identity of the second culprit before he goes tumbling to the floor with a yelp, scattering the packages every which way.]

Scenario B (All districts)
[Now that Merlin's figured out what his newest charge is--though not where she came from--Merlin's resigned himself to figuring out what, exactly, he's supposed to do with her. Unfortunately for him, the "short trip" around the city is nowhere near as easy and relaxed as he would have hoped.

For most of the afternoon, Merlin can be found in any of the districts, chasing after a wayward dragon when she goes swooping off to explore or wandering from shop to shop, letting the dragon sample a little of everything.]

Dragon. [Merlin says it glumly as said dragon wriggles in his grasp.]

A really, really curious one, from the looks of it.

[occulthymns]

[Euri blinks, surprised at his answer, but also rather excited. The only other dragon she's ever seen was the one who keeps attacking Asgard.]

Really?? But - it's so tiny!

[dragonspeak]

I think she's a hatchling. [Merlin holds her up for Euri to inspect.] Actually, I'm fairly certain she's a hatchling.

[Compared to Kilgharrah, Aithusa's a little speck. And the old dragon has some horrible timing, going back to Camelot when he could use some help handling her.]

[occulthymns]

[A baby? That makes sense. Euri looks entirely amused, wandering over to get a better look and waggling her fingers in front of the little dragon.]

She's adorable! Where'd you get her?

[dragonspeak]

[Aithusa extends her neck to get a closer look at Euri's fingers, squeaking curiously.]

Er...would you believe me if I said I found her in my room?

[occulthymns]

[She'll hold her hand still so Aithusa can sniff her or whatever it is dragons do to examine a new person.]

Huh...? Is she from your world, then?

[dragonspeak]

[Merlin frowns down at the small, white form in his hands.]

I guess so. Loads of Travelers got things from home after those animals showed up, didn't they? And I'm... [He pauses.] I'm a Dragonlord back in my world. So it sort of makes sense.

[He smiles crookedly.] Just my luck that the one who could tell me anything about her got sent back home not too long ago.

[occulthymns]

Wait! Wait wait wait -

- You're a what? [Not a term she's heard before, and though she is curious about this mysterious other person he's referring to a title like that sounds so exciting.]

[dragonspeak]

A Dragonlord. [He blows out a breath, running a hand through his hair. It's kind of odd, being able to talk about it so openly now.]

Someone who can speak to and command dragons.

[occulthymns]

.... Does that mean you rule over dragons???

[dragonspeak]

Er... [Merlin makes a face.] Not really. It means we're...kin, in a way. Even if they have to listen to us, it's wrong to abuse that power.

[occulthymns]

Oh.

... Being king would be better.

[dragonspeak]

[That gets a chuckle from him, and a small shake of his head.]

I think I'll just let Arthur handle anything about kingship--he's the charismatic one. Besides, I'd be terrible at it.
