OPERATION: DRAGON BREATH
Feel free to try to fight him or the fires he leaves or to otherwise panic!
Be careful of burning debris!
Also, please put the general location in your thread starters so people close together can communicate!

There wasn't much on it other than the name.
no subject
[He looks back up at the sky. There's that blood-colored shadow, far away. They should get moving.]
What's important is that the dragon is red.
no subject
It looks like Slifer. It's a god from my world that destroys and has two mouths. I can't see it too well from here. Only those strong enough can manipulate it but I don't think that it's gonna react the same with someone tryin' to control it, if it can be controlled at all. Let's move and get these people outta here.
no subject
... Yes, it would probably do more harm than good to try and subdue something we hardly understand. [He does want to continue after the dragon, but it's also true that he has no intention of ignoring any distress or disaster he should find along the way. Even if they are spirits, he's not sure he can bring himself to just ignore their fate That's part of why--] All right. I suppose we should return to the street.

[Varon jumps off the roof and lands in a crouched position. One of the many advantages of having speed is having good legs that can take the stress from high jumps and falls. He stands and shouts up toward Allen.]
I'll start collectin' people and send them to the clinic!
[At least they were safe there.]
no subject
[He ends up saying it halfway to himself, since there goes the other guy and-- well, he sure did just jump off the roof. Allen starts to interrupt himself for a startled shout of warning, but, well.
He's not sure what to make of that, except that it might be something related to the guy's House. Perhaps?]
All right. One moment.
[He'll be doing his best to catch up, darting downstairs and assessing the situation as best he can; this area's smoke and fires don't seem so bad, but it's probably best to--]
By clinic, I assume you mean Heimdall's? Or were you speaking of the hospital?
no subject
[In fact, it really didn't seem wise to take everyone to the hospital when that alone could attract the dragon's attention.]
It's risky but I think we can do it. While we're at it, we can put out these pocket fires. Ready?
no subject
[It's strange to think that the spirits might be more reliable in this case; but the spirits also move slowly, and the hospital should at least have the necessary equipment if not the people.
Today has been a strange day all around.]
And yes. I believe... perhaps we can ask for buckets, or something similar, from the spirits here. [He steels himself, heads for a small group of them huddled at the opposite side of the street.]
no subject
[It wasn't impossible to think such things but he did have his doubts.]
You can talk to them?
no subject
However, you can communicate with them, to an extent.
[Eventually, he is back with some buckets; actually, there's a small trickle of faceless people following him back now -- some with buckets of their own.] ... And I suppose some may also help with the fires.
no subject
[Okay, that makes more sense to Varon. He nods to Allen.]
I've seen it happen throughout this place so it does make sense to use them right. I never thought to call them spirits but hey, I'm not complaining if you already know that they can perform some tasks. Let's get this movin'.
no subject
It's honestly... so strange to be cooperating with the natives after having studiously avoided and disliked them for most of his stay -- but it helps that these are Freya's, which seem more responsive in some way.
He tries, too, to keep an eye on the boy ahead of them.]
How does it look...?
no subject
[It was more of a sound of irritation than affirmation when he spots one of them trying to meander off for some unknown reason. He grabs the spirit by the shoulders and turns him around.]
That way. There you go, now stay.
[He points to the ground as if he was talking to a puppy. He looks toward Allen to address his concern.]
It's pretty hectic out there. This part is the least effected. Thor and Odin's got the worse but that was earlier. Now tellin' what it looks like now.
no subject
... I see. I did not see too many fires in Freya -- it's possible we can leave the spirits to the task once things are more organized, and shepherd to the clinic as needed. [Meanwhile, shepherding, yup. The spirits actually make a pretty good bucket-chain, rhythm-wise. Advantage to not having much of a mind of their own.] Afterwards, I am willing to do the same for Thor and Odin, if the situations there have not improved.
no subject
[He hasn't really taken that much time to look at the scenery other than to work where he felt he was most needed. He looks back at the line and back at Allen.]
I run pretty fast and I can cover a lot'uv ground. I'll piggy back ya to get to our next spot. The more we do, the better our chances.
[While at the same time, Varon runs the risk of wearing himself out again but he'll worry about that when he's less worried about the people getting killed senselessly.]
no subject
(It seems as though the natives can bleed just as well as a human can. Granted, it's a little surreal anyway.)]
There's no need for that. You should save your energy for transporting those who cannot walk themselves. [Case in point: here, have a small grey child who is distinctly not moving.] Shall we go to the clinic first, then?
no subject
I'll get her there.
[He runs off toward the clinic.]
no subject
[And off the guy is again, leaving Allen talking to himself. He follows at a more leisurely pace with a couple more of the spirits that need to be taken that way.
He's not especially pleased to be alone with them, but he'll deal.]
