Standing near the front door to the house, Terezi put her hands on the sill, leaning up against the glass of the window and...

[Ayumi was not exactly a person who was particularly panicked about the situation. Or rather, right now, that dragon was a gigantic omen of good luck that chased away all the winter cold and looks completely awesome!

So instead of going with a sane option, she is doing her best to sketch the dragon as it circles around, slowly heading towards the palace, dodging and weaving around the fires surprisingly well.]

[ Dave usually stayed put in the Freyr district; today was no different, despite all of the commotion and the slight sense of fear in the air.

He stops the first person he sees. ]

[Feferi has been taking advantage of the sudden summery weather to go for a swim in the lake! She's doing laps in the lake like a fish, but she's staring up at the sky and trying to figure out why it's changed.]

[There's a few people Sollux instantly thinks to run to look for when shit goes down. Karkat, Terezi...and Feferi, of course, always. It's not hard to guess where she might be.]

Sure, he knew that at some point in time, being in a bizarre world would mean that he would encounter bizarre things. Maybe people acting like circus acts or something light like that. No, not at all. He practically freezes in place when he sees the dragon, eyes comically wide as he stared, slack-jawed, his words barely registering in his mind.

Dragon.

Real, live friggin dragon.

And it's here. And it's not an illusion. He even shakily tries to pinch himself to make sure it isn't. It's real and it looks dangerous and--

Oh god, what was he supposed to do? Should he run? Should he stay and hope it doesn't attack him? Where were Tsukiko and Kanata right now? Are they safe indoors? Will they be safe indoors if the dragon attacks? What if it meant no harm? But it just declared a war, of course it d---

brb mentally breaking down as he stands frozen in place.]

[ see, Tsukiko already had her two minutes of Absolute Shock, before the sense of Absolute Duty kicked in and sent her not running inside to safety, but all around the district to pitch in to help where she could. She can't make it to Thor with all this chaos going on, so she makes a mental note to try calling Kanata once she can speak without coughing through a thick haze of smoke.

Don't worry, Suzuya, she's in one piece. Just a little smudged with some minor burns.

BUT IN ONE PIECE-- why is he standing there like that. ]

Momoka, on the other hand, has acquired a few buckets, and is busy dumping lake water on the fires that have sprung up around the park. Help her out, get in her way, tell the ten-year-old to stop playing firefighter?

[Tieria stood there, staring up at the dragon as it flew over head with its declaration. The atmosphere change had gotten him out there first, but now he was regretting it. He was exposed. And he had no idea what to do against a dragon. Suddenly very out of his element, he backed up against a building to find cover, hoping to avoid being attacked by the creature.]

[In Zen's case, he was searching for anyone who needs treatment, or in certain cases, need to be dragged inside.

[Suzuya's finally gotten his head into the game, long enough to help usher people away from the chaos, and only stopping long enough to spot Quatre.]

DRAGON RIDERS GET IN HERE IT'S PYRALSPITE TIME

[She'd felt today was different, the smell of red coming across her senses and immediately alerting her. The sound of clouds moving by didn't ease her worries at all.

It wasn't until she heard the roar of an alternate dragon that she learned what this meant, and what was going to happen.

They were punishing innocents because of aiding the city? This would not stand. Not at all. The mere thought of it made her skin crawl in agitation, red eyes seething at the indecency.

They wanted a war? Fine. She, Neophyte Redglare, would give them one.

Whistling to her trusty lusus, it was only seconds before Pyralspite had arrived, and she was leaping over debris and seated on the dragon almost instantly. With a roar, it took to the skies, keeping an eye out for stragglers, or even those who would aid them in this fight.

They both knew they were going to need it.]

AWW SHIT HERE COMES JAKE.

[Jake saw the flying white dragon overhead. It reminded him of home, since he had seen such a similar dragon on his island. He gazed upwards at the beast. He remembered speaking to Redglare, thrilled she would take the time to explain her species to him. In a small way he was jealous that the woman was practically raised by this dragon. It was amazing.

He looked up to the sky as he followed the dragon before he raised his arms up into the air, trying to wave down the troll and her lusus. He wanted in on this.]

[ yeah, Tsukiko's not about to fight a dragon. She knows who the real enemy is.

Namely, that hunk of flaming debris that just narrowly missed falling on her while she's working fervently to help put out one of the larger fires with a borrowed garden hose (what, there aren't any flowerbeds that'll miss it right now). WHAT A BEAUTIFUL NIGHT IT IS. ]

Are you alright?! [she'll be running over, even before the hunk of debris had settled down on the ground after the initial impact...

and, well, narrowly missing any bits and pieces that might have chipped off from the impact as well.]

Library -> Odin District -> Moving Around

[Naminé is outside when the weather changes. At first, she wonders if the change in temperate is an indication that there's something wrong with her, and she presses a hand against her arm to check; her skin is still cold to the touch. It's about then that the sky starts to darken, and she looks up toward it. It looks quite ominous, and immediately she feels a chill creep down her spine, despite the warm weather. She's on her way to explore the library, and although she has second thoughts about continuing that trip, she also has second and third thoughts about continuing to stay outside, so in the end, she moves on and goes about her business at the library. Unfortunately, she's too unsettled to focus, and after about an hour, she exits the building and makes her way toward home, only to freeze in place as the dragon makes its arrival.]

[Her hands are over her mouth, eyes are wide and her face is turned toward the sky when the creature begins to wreak havoc, but after the first breath of fire washes over the city, she's shocked out of her horror at least enough to take a reflexive (but useless) step backward. She needs to get somewhere safe-- but where is safe, when the city's being attacked by a fire-breathing monster? She's not even sure where to go, but she can't stay there, so she'll just be turning tail and making a run for it. Once she realizes there are people who might need the kind of help that a healer, inexperienced or not, can provide, she'll likely be seeking out the injured as she goes, but for the time being, she's in fight or flight mode - emphasis on the latter.]

[Zen hadn't noticed the little girl immediately, not until her fight or flight mode causes him to get into her path. Look out Namine, you're headed straight for him.]

[ Norway will help put out any of the trees that have caught fire, using the lake water. The trees and only the trees. That debris falling near him or anyone else? He is too distracted to notice. ]

[ Wow so Hawke thought there might not actually be a place with dragons. Not to mention one like that. He knows better than to attack it while it's flying, so he holds off on that. For now.

And dragons that can talk? That's new. Normally they just stomped around, slaughtering people.

So he'll be tracking the dragon, seeing if he has an opening - which, sadly, doesn't seem likely. ]

[Have another dragonchaser, though he's having some difficulty keeping track of it in the city -- even as conspicuous as it is, the rooftops tend to block everything if he stays in the street.

But it's not like he can leap from roof to roof or anything. That's just absurd.

So Allen will just keep following as best he can, jaw set and eyes on the sky. When he spots another Traveller several times in his running, though, he finally slows--]

... Pardon me, sir? Do you know which way the dragon might have gone?

[... The sad part is the dragon isn't even the weirdest thing.

Zen had narrowed his eyes at the declaration of war, having been indoors when it happened. He decided to observe for now, trying to figure out if he was going to attack or not. He had to admit, had he been anything like Rikuo and the others, he'd be up to challenging the bastard. It wasn't like they chose to be a part of this situation. Still, he's aware he's useless in an actual combat, and won't openly fight a battle he can't win.

Then he sees some idiots decide to fight it instead and he's out the door in a flash, only delayed by the fact that he had to grab a bag and some of his supplies before rushing out. It sucked that he can't rely on the same methods he used back home, not without his Fear, but he'd be damned if he just stood by and watched people get themselves killed.

At the very least, he'll tend to the wounds of anyone who might need it.

So here's Zen traveling about, eyes scanning the area for any familiar face or wounded citizen. If you participated in provoking the dragon, you are so getting an earful.]

[ He himself had almost bolted from Heimdall the instant the war declaration had been made, determined to get to the Freya District and find Oz before anything else happened. There wasn't a moment to spare, this wasn't the time for him to wait and sit this one out and for the time being, going anywhere near the dragon is the last thing on his mind.

Gilbert hasn't quite made it there yet, though, when he comes across Zen who seems to be wandering himself. ]

[ He slows only as he approaches, taking a few deep breaths as he furrows his brow in concern. Zen looks all right (hell, a lot better than Gilbert does in his frazzled state, even) but he wants to make sure. What was the point of making acquaintances with others if you were going to leave them by themselves in a pinch? ]

ODIN HOUSE

[Atobe was all kinds of things, but he wasn't an idiot. Not really, especially when it came to things that could possibly kill him without a second thought. He had felt a jolt of--- something (fear? panic? awe?) at the sight of the dragon, something he couldn't put into words, but it made him keep his attention on the dragon. He was no fool, he's never been in an actual fight before, and even with all the animals he possessed back at home, not once did he try to intentionally provoke any of them into a fight. Others may consider it cowardly, but he thinks it's justified not to fight an enemy you know you have no chance of winning against.

It was better to wait for the right opportunity rather than fight a meaningless battle.

Though he had to admit, the mention of war sent shivers down his back. Oh, he knew what Ragnarok was, not quite pleased at this turn of events. Even a kid like him knew this wasn't a good sign.]

Ahn~ It seems like things are finally getting serious.

[Frau had helped navigate a couple of brats past the fires on their way back to their living quarters in Odin. Trouble did seem to surface at the odd hours.

The gods were bringing these people who didn't belong here into this mess but hadn't informed them of the extent of trouble they were helping fix. This — the dragon — could only be a small taste of it, since everything else was relatively peaceful.

Frau had been around a flight of dragons before, and they were peaceful unless provoked. That led to more questions about these gods and the king that was mentioned.]

I could've used a light earlier.

[He fingered a partially smoked cigarette without much interest.]

Freya/Fires/Rooftops

[He'd noticed as soon as the sky darkened -- a chill down his spine, and not just because the temperature's suddenly swung a 180. Even if Allen hadn't ever fully relaxed the entire time he'd been in Asgard, there aren't many good portents that involve a blood-colored sky.

He finds himself caught outside, too, unsure of what to do -- common sense screams at him to get out of the open, while instinct tells him that nothing in this city is safe, nothing in this city is anything of theirs.

By the time the dragon arrives, he's reluctantly turned back towards the House of Freya, mostly because he doesn't know where else to go. There's a moment of panic, a moment of scrambling for any shelter he can reach -- he ends up, ironically, under a bench. The message, on the other hand, he listens to a sudden, odd sense of calm -- as though he's seen this coming, as though a dragon is a perfectly normal sight in these parts (which, apparently, it should be). The shakiness of his limbs subsides with a few more steps in the direction of the House.

Then he stops.

He turns around; he's not sure where he's going but for now he seeks the dragon -- looks for a rooftop from which he can see its trajectory, because it doesn't seem to be heading for Freya.]

[Freyjadour is just leaving Freya house- the color of the sky and the voice ringing through the air is clearly a very bad sign, though of what he is not sure. Either way staying inside right now would do nothing but make people a sitting duck for any attacks from....

A dragon?

He'll stare upward, mentally assessing the situation. He had not thought there to be dragons in Asgard. It also looked very different from the ones of his world, but it was clearly a dragon. A... dragon capable of speech, at that.

Either way, it was still a terrible idea to stay indoors, though and he calls out when he spots Allen approaching.] Allen!

Hel District

[Frau is somewhere about halfway between Hel's welcome hall and the castle when the temperature suddenly changes. These nightly strolls, while unnecessary here, are habit.

He waits, vigilant and observing the changes while enjoying a cigarette or two. He's at least appreciating the change in temperature, when the voice interrupts.]

Pulling others into their battles.

[His eyes narrow and he stands straighter, however, when he spots the dragon in the distance. Frau may not have the abilities as one of the Seven Ghosts anymore but wouldn't want harm to come to others.]

Sigyn District

[All Hibiki can do is freeze in fear. Well, freeze isn't exactly the best term for it. She's definitely moving. Her knees knock together and her entire body is shaking. And with good reason. After all, it is a dragon. Not even the monster in the mansion had anything on a full grown and apparently quite angry dragon that had made it quite clear it fully intended to kill them all.

Really, it was almost too much to bear. The weight of it seemed to pull her towards the ground, finally causing her legs to give out completely under her as she collapsed into a trembling heap.]

N-no... How could this be happening?

Sigyn District

[Making her way towards one of the more solidly-built buildings to set up a first aid station when she notices the poor girl, huddled up and trembling.]

[She'll move over to the child, of course.]

Come now, stand up! This is hardly the place to hide at!

[ as unusual - and vaguely alarming, as she's certain people will panic - as the temperature altering abnormally is, Takane only begins to look the faintest bit distressed when the dark and red clouds show no sign of parting during her walk. There'll be no moon to gaze at tonight, it seems.

It's an uneasy sense of loneliness she dislikes, and hides beneath her usual layer of calm.

Yes, even a giant dragon will have her more alert than shocked, committing the words to memory and finally coming to a standstill in some district or another. Chihaya will be stressed, the younger ones possibly more upset. She should make certain they're safe. ]

Ragnarok... to think that to be included in a prediction of myth would create such a heavy weight upon the shoulders.

STAY PUT DAMN IT

[Frau had successfully given Atobe a reason to leave the house. He may not care for fighting the dragon, even if he was intrigued by the sight of it and wouldn't mind keeping it in his exotic, uninhabited island as a pet, but he did care about making sure the people don't kill themselves due to utter recklessness and stupidity--- or you know, being caught unaware by the circumstances.]

Ahn~? So you're out here as well.

Baldr District

*So sure, there's a big ass dragon yelling and roaring in the blood red sky. Wow this is dramatic as all get out. Eve, however, was out minding her own business and looking a little impressed.

Well, at least until the HELLFIRE rained down and she was set more than slightly ablaze in the ensuing sweep of the area.

The resounding cry of MOTHERFUCKING GIANT GECKO was kind of hard to miss as she ran about trying to pat herself out and look for some decent non-fire-coated cover.*

It takes Allen a few confused moments to find the source of the screaming, mostly because it's kind of a sea of fire in this particular sector and he hadn't planned to get any closer.

Baldr District

[Lycoris went out almost immediately when it turned warm, wondering what on earth was going on --

She kind of wasn't expecting the red sky and dark clouds and everything, and she definitely wasn't expecting a BLOODY HUGE DRAGON to show up. Everything it says unsurprisingly flies over Lycoris' head, being a bit too distracted to bother and a little too dumb to fully understand some of it anyway.]

So cool!

[...Nevermind there is fire, nope. She'll realize that sooner or later.]

[Looking around... Mainly, he was searching for a place to hide since he's not going to try and tackle a dragon. But why there is a kid playing around when this happening!?]

Hey, you! This isn't cool at all! Don't you get that we're gonna be killed...!?

Sigyn District > Somewhere between Freya and Baldr Districts; HEALERS!

[As soon as Keine felt the change in temperature and ambience, she knew something was about to happen... what with how she's often on edge back in Gensokyo, and ready for any emergencies that may occur.]

[but while she would hide the village, then go out to meet the enemy in normal circumstances, it was a little different this time; she had none of the means to defend herself she had back home, much less others here, but she did have the ability to heal...]

Of course! [she'll cry out, somewhere in the Sigyn District, as she hurried towards the Sigyn Welcome Hall, and eventually her room, to get herself changed into something lighter and less stuffy, while packing up a bag full of bandages and other first aid equipment she had procured to stem any extensive wounds she might have inflicted upon herself to experiment with her powers.]

[Then the dragon arrived, with its booming voice.

And breath of fire.]

[Immediately, she would run her way out towards the Sigyn Welcome Hall, and further outwards towards the District regions between Freya and Baldr, so that healers may reach those at both the Hospital and further out, yelling as she did so, for the benefit of those that wasn't aware of what was happening.]

Look out! Dragon atop of the city!

Healers! Come with me! Let us set up an additional healing station further from the hospital!

[Tsuna had already been running straight for Freya(and he was planning on running straight for Thor and Hel later too) when he spots Keine, seemingly heading for the same direction. He glances at his hands and at the dragon in the sky - he couldn't fight it off here, but if he was given the ability to heal here, then--

he chases Keine without a second thought. If they were heading towards Freya, he could check in on Kyoko-chan and then look for the others]

R-Right, I'm coming!

WEAPONS AND ARMOR

[Roxas is stationed in the blacksmiths on the very edge of the Heimdall; but more than once, he's rushed out to throw a bucket of water over some hapless fool who got a little to friendly with the fire off of burning debris, or directly from the dragons path of flames. Up and down the street, these heroic bucket dashes are being made; and when he isn't doing that, he's holding the fort, watching out for those a little more lively from the rest and shoving weapons into their hands. A shield.]

It's dangerous out there! Take these with you!

[Have one (1) Allen, somewhat sooty and gently broiled around the edges but he'll live. He's here purely by coincidence -- he hasn't had time to check the bracelets between the sheer shock of the attack and... everything else. But. HERE HE IS ANYWAY.

Mostly, he's been following the dragon. He almost misses Roxas entirely until he ends up splashed by Bucket of Water #32398879 by proxy as he passes a lit-up area.]

Wha--! Please watch where you're-- [blink] You...

[A slightly guilty look at the quelled flames he'd been just about to pass by. Perhaps he's being a little too single-minded.]

BALDR DISTRICT

[The Saints have dealt with a lot of shit. The Brutes that were sent out by the Syndicate, S.T.A.G, the weird voodoo shit the Sons of Samedi did... zombies... let's just say that the Saints are not used to weird shit.

This is not something that the Boss is used to.]

[And he's just staring up at the dragon for a moment, before barking into the communicator. The following message is basically limited to those Boss has good CR with--]

There's a fucking dragon out there. Saints, get your asses over here NOW.

YOU RANG?

[Dragon? Please, this is child's play. SHE'S JUST GONNA WALK ON OVER THROUGH THE FIRE AND SHIT AND ACT ALL NONCHALANT.]

It's just a dragon, darling. I don't see any problems unless it lands. Then we'll have issues.

THOR DISTRICT;

[ Buffy has acquired a crossbow and arrows from Roxas, and she's been armed with a sword since she was training and the sky first turned. She's been running as fast as her feet will carry her to get to the best spot possible for fighting this thing; since she's got some distance, she's headed back to the arena. To the roof. As she runs, she presses her thumb into the communicator. ]

SPIKE! [ It's barked, more like an order than anything else, but it's clear there's desperation in her voice. ]

Dean, Sam!

ARENA!

[ That's less desperate but she still wants experts on monster fighting to hear her. She touches the bracelet again to turn it off, focusing on getting back to her own district. Once she reaches it, she dodges fiery debris, avoids flames, and somehow manages to find her way to the Arena's roof. She surveys the situation. Underbelly. That's all she's got. And the thing is massive, and it's moving, and fast.

She loads her crossbow, and begins to fire. One round after the other, into the softest spots she can locate. But she's useless here. She needs to be on that dragon.

Now.

She hits the communicator again, as fast as she can. ]

I need up there! NOW!

[There's another person on the roof, too, a large, gray skinned young man with horns, and a longbow himself. His form is technically perfect as he fires arrow after arrow at the dragon, grimacing to show his broken teeth, but he glances over when she starts shouting into her communicator.]

If it comes close enough, I could throw you.

[The fires were easily ignored as Hazama walked past, dodging the fleeing residents heading to safety - the dragon, however big it may be, was a bit more difficult to track down, as the smoke and night sky limited visibility. His movements were hurried, and his shoulders were shaking as he headed to the general vicinity of the castle. If one were to see him right now, they might have think he was going to fight the dragon itself.

The smile on his face however, told a different story.]
