[ rule 1 about interactions with kanone: never grab him from behind. his reflexes kick in, and suddenly, you're being grabbed in two different locations as he prepares to flip you--

... suddenly, he stops, as though realizing what he's doing. however, he lets you go slowly. a pause. ]

[He was surprised for a moment, tense in case he really was flipped, though not quite apologetic or scared when he stopped. He narrows his eyes a little suspiciously at the reaction, but decides it's not important... for now.]

Then learn to listen!

Let me look at your foot.

[ mouth setting itself in a hard line! ]

It's not important. I'm walking just fine.

And my eyes are working just as fine, and I can still tell your foot's a mess.

Give me five minutes to patch your foot and I guarantee you that'd go faster than you making that worse and losing more precious time.

[ ... a pause. ]

Sit down then. [Time to get this thing done as fast and efficiently as possible.]

[ he sighs-- but he sits, heavily. stretching out his swollen ankle. ]

No more than five. I'm counting.

[ he sounds extremely tired. ]

No side-comments from the patients. [He says, though he does as told and works fast. Normally he'd prefer to take his time to make sure that it's perfectly secure, but given he's dealing with this idiot, he decides to do the best he can in the short amount of time. At least experience made it easier to do this by heart, and soon enough he's done.]

[ no comment, here. :T he bears with it, actually closing his eyes to allow some respite as zen does his work. it's not that he isn't wary of what zen is potentially doing, but it's more like at this point in time, he doesn't have any more fucks left to give.

as soon as he feels zen's fingers off of his ankle, however, his slitted eyes open. examining his ankle. ]

Four minutes and twenty-three seconds.

[ almost immediately, he attempts to get up. ]

[This time at least, Zen helps him up.]

I'd say don't put pressure on it, but you ain't likely listening, huh?

[ and he.... tentatively lets him help him up. ]

... you shouldn't waste your breath.

[ still, though, he tests his ankle. it does... feel better. a sigh. ] Let's settle this debt after this.

[ his eyes narrow a little. ] I've been fine from the very beginning.

[ but that just sounds like a flimsy excuse, doesn't it? ] Go back indoors. If you get hurt, too, it might be troublesome.
