[Okay, stating the obvious didn't really set too well with Varon but he brushes it off and gets to work in the effort along with Johnny.

Upon seeing a child trip, he moves over in a hurry to catch her before she drops completely, handing the child to her mother.]

Get movin'!

[Johnny will dash in and out of the houses of the town residents, trying to save people and their things from the flames. After a few houses, he has to stop. Leaned against a lamp post, Johnny coughs and wheezes. He's taking in too much smoke.]

...Fuck.

[Varon skids to a halt and turns around to face Johnny. He removes the bandana around his neck and holds it out for Johnny.]

Put that over your mouth. We gotta get the hell outta here and I can't carry you.

Fucking smoke, man. [Johnny takes the bandana and ties it on.] Thanks. I owe ya, I guess.

No worries. Just remember me when I need help next.

[He smiles and gives a firm but friendly slap to Johnny's shoulder.]

[Johnny just nods, and wipes some of the soot from his face. All it does is manage to smudge it though. He takes off, but not with the same speed he had before.]

[Varon notices this and hangs back a little to make sure that Johnny gets to safety. His concern is marked when he looks over his shoulder.]

You're not doin' so hot. Let's get to the clinic instead. It's only a hop away.

Naw, I can do it. Fuckin' smoke just knocked somma the wind outta me.

[He's a stubborn one. Some stupid fire isn't going to slow him down! Or so he thinks.]

[A short nod, Varon wasn't about to push the issue. He took Johnny at his word and took off in a flash in order to see what he could do rather than stick to one place.]

Right. I'll meet you at House Thor when it's all said and done.

[He'll keep his eye out for Johnny on his bracelet and check in from time to time.]
