People are getting injured and it'll a while for us to recover. This affects you too, you know?

[Oh, Shu's finally trying to get a grasp of Amakusa's character.]

I could probably take it out if I had my original powers.

Healing can only be so useful.

There's no point in worrying about something you can't do anything about, right? That's just being overanxious. People get injured every day... it's sad, but it happens. This is more like a natural disaster than anything else; you've just gotta wait it out then pick up the pieces afterwards.

[ hm wait what was that last part... ]

Original powers, eh? That sounds interesting.

Besides, as long as you're careful enough you won't get hurt. [ she's fairly okay considering the situation, after all, and it's not just because she has Amakusa to protect her. ] We all have powers to fight back with after all, right?

[ ... ] Amakusa's right though, what kind of original powers did you have, Shu? [ he can be not useless? ]

[He hates being useless here he doesn't even know.]

I had the power of Voids on my side.

With Voids I could give form to people's hearts and feelings. Sometimes weapons can even manifest through them.

Powerful ones.

Everyone has different Voids so it really depends on the person I'm using.

[He fights using people...]

[ in other words he kind of tuned that out. carry on... ]

[ Ange knows the guy enough to understand he's just tuning it out, really, but apparently she's more interested with her own experience with magic as well and all. ]

So to summarize, you're practically using people as weapons?

Simply put, yes.

The Void Genome doesn't work on everyone though. There's a few rules I need to follow. It's kind of complicated but it'd be useful now.

[satisfies]

There's no use in complaining about something you don't have.

[ shrug. ]

No matter how useful it'd be, you don't have it.

Yeah, that's true.. There's no use in thinking about that power, since you won't have it unless those "gods" suddenly decide to give powers back to people, and I doubt that'll happen anytime soon. Even with a dragon of all things flying around.

[ grumbling a little to herself as she eyes the sky to make sure it isn't getting too close while they're standing around and talking.. ]

Mhmm. I don't think they plan on giving it back soon.

Uh, I don't know too much about your body guard, Ange. What kind of power did he get anyways?

...but before you say anything, there's no way I'm getting anywhere near that dragon. No hazard pay in the world is worth that.

Who knows, maybe you can get it to become good friends with you if it knows both of you can fly.

Hm... Not really. I'm saying it's fine to do whatever you want. That's what you should be doing.

Like I just said, Amakusa, don't just tell him that or he'll just run around and get his neck broken or worse.

[ not that she cares-- well, probably a little, at least, if not just because the thought of Shu doing something stupid is so likely. ]

I think it's more that we just can't do anything against a danger this big, so it's better to just keep yourself out of trouble for the time being.

I can't just keep doing nothing forever.

We might not be able to do anything against the danger itself ...but we can still provide relief for others. I think that's more important than staying out of trouble.

[satisfies]

Then what are you doing waiting around here for? Go on and spread relief to all the people in need!

Didn't you say something about your power being healing earlier? I mean, that's more useful in a situation like this than my power. ... And Amakusa's power would have been useful, but he's too lazy to use it either way.

Then you could help people pretty easily, Shu.

I didn't ask for that power and neither did both of you.

At first I hated it. The Gods just decided to do whatever they want, but now...

You're misunderstanding something, if you ask me. "Wrong?" Something like that doesn't really matter. It's your power, you can do whatever you want with it.

But it sounds like you've already made up your mind on what that is.

It was exactly what Eva oba-san fired you for before, so it's definitely a bad thing, isn't it?

If it gets you fired, then I guess it is.

But, that still makes it part of his personality.
