as for masamune, that little motion was just what he was waiting for. he turns from his original trajectory towards the dragon and instead faces mitsunari. ]

And I'd never ask for any. [ have a party, etc. either way, masamune's got his one sword up and ready at the moment to let mitsunari make the first move. dragon comes later, crazy angry man with bad hairstyle comes first. ] Now, let's see you dance.

[He can barely keep himself from sneering at that line, only his anger keeping him focused.

Lowering his body, he gets ready to lunge--

but not forward, nope. Sorry if you were expecting that. He starts leaning to the side instead, like he's about to keel over from being so emaciated. But halfway through his fall to the ground, he disappears.

Then he reappears right beside ~~one eyes dragon~~ Masamune, ready to slash him open.]

[ oh so mitsunari did have some bite. actually, it was a bit (a lot) more bite than he was expecting, and he's almost caught off-guard. fortunately he's ~~one eyes dragon~~ masamune, which means he manages to meet mitsunari's blade with his own just in time. ]

I might actually break a sweat, at this rate. [ well. he's pushing back now. like a real thor does. ]

[He doesn't reply. Why would he? He'd be talking to a dead man.

There is though, a hint of annoyance at being blocked. Mitsunari pushes back against Masamune just as forcefully, even if it's pretty clear he doesn't match up to THOR STRENGTH. Retreating back with an upward swing, he lets out ~~VEXATION~~ a flurry of slashes, getting ready to close in again in a moment's notice.]

[ oh, so he had even more where the came from. this time mitsunari's ruthlessness doesn't take him by surprise, and he makes an attempt at parrying the slashes, though perhaps in the end it's better to just try and avoid them, so he jumps a comfortable distance away from mitsunari to do one thing. his trademark thing.

... is it Six Swords Time™? yeah, it's Overcompensation Time™. he'd rather end a match like this as fast as he could. ]

[The likes of Overcompensation doesn't faze him. That only means he has five more to break. The strategy is the same as before: cut everything. Quickly closing in on that comfortable distance, he prepares to take Masamune out before he has a chance to do anything with Overcompensation.]

[ Overcompensation is going to be charging right into Mitsunari's Quick And Dirty™, with the aim of meeting every strike and hitting it back with one of his own. usually he'd be radiating lightning.

And hello Quick And Dirty™ is right behind you now. Might want to turn around. Fast.]

[ oh. that is quick. and potentially really dirty, unless Overcompensation does something--

--but luckily he can turn around quickly enough and get out of the way, though that was way closer than masamune is used to. hello, quick and dirty's sword, how very sharp you look today.

instead of striking again, masamune's straightening up, six swords still in hand. ]

Heh. I'm not even having fun with a fight like this. [ really... mitsunari was kind of crazy.

masamune needs to stop and reevaluate this, really. it kind of pisses him off that he even has to. ]

[Sliding forward from that missed swing, he gives Overcompensation the dirtiest look.

Fun? Overcompensation thinks this is supposed to be fun? He was getting frustrated enough that he can't just cut his throat and be done with it.]

Give up and die! [In case Masamune decides that he'll dodge this next attack. He's not going to wait for Masamune to gather himself as he runs forward and tries to hack up anything he can get to.]

[ Quick and Dirty's so straightforward. not that Overcompensation's thinking too hard on that, given there's more blades in his face. he'll take some cuts to his clothes as he meets mitsunari's blade again. so he made his choice, and god this one is terrible but he can't risk it here--

now, excuse him as he looks around the area and focuses on a single spot--riddled with debris, maybe a bit of smoke. a bit of thor strength, and he's maybe attempting to force their stalemate over there.

he'd move there himself, but turning his back on mitsunari isn't really a smart thing to do, he figures. dude ~~looks like a lady~~ is pretty damn fast. ]

[Quick and Dirty's middle name is Straightforward. In fact he's so straightforward that he'll just continue to force Overcompensation back with hit after hit, Thor strength be damned. He'll probably feel it in the morning, once the rush of emotions burns off.

If he were a little calmer he might have done more thinking about Masamune looking elsewhere but for now he's just going to try to take advantage of it.]

I mean what? if masamune wasn't going to do what he was about to do then maybe he'd make a few more observations like that, but right now he's just continuing on his merry way. ]

Well shit, Overcompensation actually got him.

Maybe it's because he's barely eaten anything since getting here, or that he's become slower than he usually is. Or maybe it's that he wasn't expected a move like that in a sword fight but he's thrown pretty easily into that pile of debris ~~because he's a twig. And then they destroyed even more things than the dragon~~.

He sits among the pile of rubble for a while before trying to stand, shaking the dizziness out of his head but soon he just... crumples.

Congratulations Overcompensation, you destroyed any chance of him remembering you clearly afterwards since YOU HIT HIS HEAD PRETTY HARD. But that's okay, there's always round 2.]
