Were there? It's the first one I've encountered. [Focus. Focus. He can't lose his head here, not right now.] It seems like getting ready for more situations like this is the best course of action now.

The ones I've met have, for the most part, been forced to take human form. So that is not a surprise. [In a way, chasing the dragon is something to do; focus in general is a good method of getting through crisis, and though it's doubtful he can do anything directly Allen is determined to learn more.]

If this is truly a war, then the Travellers will certainly need much more preparation than we have; though I can't say I'm clear on exactly what we need.

So there are also incidents like that here. It's surprising just how much control they have over what can happen to us like that. [By then he's calmed down externally, following Allen religiously as it was a better idea right now than letting himself be left to his devices.]

I suppose that's what these abilities they gave us is for, though we still need more training in this kind of situation. [Which... he isn't sure how to deal with, as his own power is rather passive and can't really do anything in a real fight.]
