It's a risk one has to take when they're on the top. [A pause.]

Then I would hope they would unite and fight together if that were to happen.

Taking risks seems a little reckless, wouldn't you think?

They might not always do that. It's impossible to please everyone.

Only if the risk is an unnecessary one. Even kings have to face the battlefield for their men.

As a king then, I haven't been very effective in inspiring my people.

What kind of inspiration do they need?

Maybe they just need reason.

[He raises an eyebrow at the questioning, not quite used to having it being thrown at him. Not that he doubts his abilities as a leader, but it's rather curious just how much he's pushing it.]

Ahn~? Then I ask you, if you were to follow a king, what reason do you need for it?

It depends on their intentions. No one would want to follow someone cruel.

I can assure you, I am far from cruel. The only thing I ask of anyone who may follow me is that they don't break the rules set upon them. [They are just rules at least, though sometimes a little over the top.]

They should be reasonable considering that you don't seem selfish.

A king can't function well if his subjects are treated poorly, after all. [He only gives them the best.] It seems I have a lot of work to do here to get the same results though.

You have a point, I guess.

It might take some time. There's still a lot we need to learn.

It seems like they're giving us a lot of time and not quite much choice, either way. It's best we don't waste it standing around any longer.
