[Welcome to the city of Asgard. Now that you've woken up and been given your welcome instructions (as per the FAQ), what will you do? There are a good number of other new arrivals being shown to the gates, and for today the plaza that surrounds the castle is open for mingling. You could also head to your Welcome Hall (details here) and meet your Housemates if you'd like. Whatever you decide to do, have fun getting settled into your new home!]

[ ...so, this is his "house", huh? hand on his hip, Yuri surveys the area, eyes flicking over other people and even taking in the architecture. huh.

welp, time to see a goddess about a thing. ]

[Gwendolyn can't help but raise an eyebrow at this person. She's just going to stare at him, maybe a little bit on the defensive side as she clutches on to her spear. He seems approachable, however she still keeps her distance if only because she has not seen terribly many males in this house.]

[ oh, ouch. that hurts, Gwendolyn. it really does. he notices her approach and glances over his shoulder. his eyes fix on her spear -- and for the record, he's got a sword, dangling from one hand by a makeshift sling -- but if anything, the spear just seems to make him more interested.

he flicks a finger at her, like a tiny salute. ]

[She's only protective of her sisters. She notes the sword, however also notes that he makes no move to remove it from the sheath. Lowering her guard a little, she lowers her spear just a bit as if to tell him that she does not wish to do battle.]

[Her response is a little robotic...]

Are you a member of this household as well? If so, welcome. [Her expression softens a little, as her left hand comes up to her chest and bows towards him. Perhaps she realized her rudeness, however she felt she had good reasoning for it. Still, 'twas not polite behavior befitting of one who was raised a princess...]

[ which he notices in turn. you get a grin, reassuring. ]

Seems like it. You're a -- "Traveler", right? Same as me? [ see he can tell by how human you look. fully colored and aware and all. and thankfully nothing like the maids in this place. ]

[She nods at his question, her spear now lowering to her side.]

That is correct. I have been taken from my own realm and brought here. [She's already been asked if she's a native, so a part of her is happy that someone has realized that no, she's not. And that she's not entirely happy to be here either, but no need to be a grump about it. They're all in the same boat, after all.]

Great. [ a little bit dry. ] I guess it's an honor, being kidnapped by gods.

Name's Yuri Lowell. [ he holds out a hand. shake? high-five? any of the above...? ]

[Not so much to Gwendolyn, but hey, maybe it could be considered one... and then she realizes that was a joke. Took her some time, but she got it...]

My name is Gwendolyn. [She stares at his hand before bringing her hand out and giving it a firm shake.] 'Tis a pleasure to meet you.

[hey there, housemate. by now Cissnei is reclining on the couch, still in her suit, with her knees hooked over the arm of the couch. she's just lying there, thinking. there's... a lot to take in]

[ oh hay, housemate. he notices the brooding, but comes up to her anyway. ]

Hey, another normal person. [ he flicks a gesture at her, friendly. if she really doesn't wanna talk, he can always pass right on through. ] Nice.

"Nice"? [nope, she turns her head to him and smiles cheerfully enough] You say that like you were expecting everyone to be grey.

Maybe I was. [ but he'd take gray-grey. it's the uncanny valley thing that gets to him. ] Don't tell me the maids don't freak you out a little.

I definitely wouldn't say that. I don't have a lot of experience with maids, but I think I prefer mine to have faces. [wry]

Maybe we'll like it once we get used to it? Who knows. Faces could just get in the way.

It doesn't seem to significantly impair them. I think I'll keep mine, though, if it's all the same to everyone else.

[Minako is just looking at her surroundings curiously, but she doesn't seem to be particularly fazed or bothered by anything that's going on around her.]

Another newbie? [ cheerful little wave ] We're gonna be a full house if this keeps up.

Looks that way, doesn't it? [She bows her head a bit in response.]

Well, pleased to meet you. Or as pleased as I can be, under the circumstances. [ grin ]
