[Welcome to the city of Asgard. Now that you've woken up and been given your welcome instructions (as per the FAQ), what will you do? There are a good number of other new arrivals being shown to the gates, and for today the plaza that surrounds the castle is open for mingling. You could also head to your Welcome Hall (details here) and meet your Housemates if you'd like. Whatever you decide to do, have fun getting settled into your new home!]

[ ... This kind of attitude should not have been as eerily familiar as it was. But somehow, Gohan couldn't help but think he was listening to Eighteen as she turned up the sarcasm. And he wasn't sure if that was a good or bad thing. Either way, he responded with a sheepish chuckle. ]

W-Well, maybe you're a rose. Roses are red, right..? [ Okay yeah, so Gohan is not good at responding to sarcasm. ]

Anyway... nice to meet you, Ange. My name's Gohan.

[ ... Wait, Gohan, are you for real.. watch as Ange just raises an eyebrow oh so very questioning. Thread very, very carefully.. ]

Well.. Gohan. Are you turning into a poet here? 'Roses are red, violets are blue' and all that, right?

N-No, I was just-- I mean-- I just-- y-you were talking about sprouting and your hair was red so I thought--

[ I'm so sorry, Gohan... even in the face of his sputtering, Ange seems entirely unfazed, her lineface not changing in the slightest. ]

Yeah, yeah, I know what you mean. You were just trying to make some lame sort of joke, right?

I'd give you a four out of ten. You need to work on your delivery. [ said with the straightest lineface. Ange, what are you even saying, your sense of humor sucks too.. ]

It's fine, I guess I'm just not that good with jokes..

That's fine. [ And while her tone is still really deadpan, there's something a little more genuine in her tone now. ]

I don't like guys who try to be overly funny all the time. They're just obnoxious. So this is already a lot better.

Well, I gave it a shot at least. [ And he can sort of notice that her tone is ever so slightly different. Not that he can figure out what it means, though. ] Can't say I didn't try.

Sorry if the joke was really that bad though..

It didn't make me break out in tears just yet, so I'm not going to say it was 'really that bad'.

It wasn't as bad as that guy's usual jokes, either way.
