[Welcome to the city of Asgard. Now that you've woken up and been given your welcome instructions (as per the FAQ), what will you do? There are a good number of other new arrivals being shown to the gates, and for today the plaza that surrounds the castle is open for mingling. You could also head to your Welcome Hall (details here) and meet your Housemates if you'd like. Whatever you decide to do, have fun getting settled into your new home!]

[But she's not going to get into that, forcing a smile.] Classmates, dorm mates, and on the same team... so pretty well.

But while Yukari can't really tell, still confused about who Minako is and what's going on, all those things would accurately describe Minato, too. A very brief flashing thought wonders if ...

No, come on, Yukari isn't even interested in that! (Though perhaps this thought will surface once more later on when she watches the other girl kiss a snow woman.)

She shakes her head. Minato must be way on her mind. Though, after meeting him back from the dead, that would hardly be a surprise.]

...Sorry I don't recognize you, then. I wish I did.

It's not your fault. [She still keeps the smile; there's no use in causing Yukari any excess concern. Her instincts as a leader just kick in, so it's more about assuring Yukari than worrying about herself.] It must have something to do with this place, right? We can try to make sense of it later.

[takebow]

...Yeah. Yeah, that must be it.

[She looks mildly relieved at that bit of absolution. She probably wasn't that close with Minako anyway, right? Like, it would take a lot to get there... There's a slight suspicion there that this line of thinking might not hold water. But she'd just as rather ignore it, so she does.]

Then, we'll figure it out later. Like everything else around here, I guess.

I think that's really all we can do, for now. [She's still smiling; she can read Yukari well enough to grasp that there's still more than what she's letting on. In any case, Minako will handle this to best of her ability.]

Have you seen anyone else from Iwatodai?

[takebow]

Besides Minato-kun? No... He said Ryoji-kun was here, though.

[And there we go, another unexpected thing!] ....Ryoji-kun is here?

[takebow]

That's what he said.

[She watches the other girl rather carefully.]

But I came straight back here from Heimdall... I haven't seen him.

[orphean]

[She's thoughtful, and definitely concerned, given what she last remembers. But she masks the extent of it, only pursing her lips a bit.] I'll have to see if I can get in touch with him later.

[takebow]

Yeah, I guess you should... [It might help them figure out what's going on with this identity crisis, anyway.]

So, are you supposed to be living here too?

[orphean]

Mm, that's right. I guess we'll be living pretty close to each other here.

[takebow]

[She smiles, though a little distractedly. She doesn't know her well, but at least she's apparently from their world and stuff like that...]

Oh, good, I'm glad... Us second-year girls oughta stick together in a place like this, right?

[orphean]

[She lets out a small laugh. Yukari's words aren't all that reassuring -- if only because she doesn't actually know Minako at all.] It's better than being stuck with total strangers, isn't it?

Even if I guess I am one to you, huh?

[takebow]

[Of course, she is. Well, not total -- they've talked for a little while now. But, more importantly, she's someone who remembers their world and who seems related to Minato-kun in more than a tangential way and -- and, of course, she knows Yukari; although Minako is still an enigma to her, she's the reverse to the other girl, or something like it.

So Yukari shakes her head.]

You're not... I mean, I believe you, and even if I don't really know you, you know me. So we're not strangers. I just... don't remember yet, right?

[She offers up another tentative smile.]

[orphean]

Right! [Her smile brightens, giving Yukari a look of gratefulness. She knows her well enough -- this could have easily went in an entirely different direction. She's weathered through some tough storms. It would take time, but if Yukari was already handling it this well... maybe it wouldn't be as hard as she initially thought.] We've just gotta take it one step at a time.

[takebow]

[Yukari's in a particularly good state to handle this well at the moment. He's back, and if that comes with a weird doppelganger version of him who seems perfectly nice, and happy to know her, that's fine too.

Also, it helps that she doesn't know just how well Minako knows her already. Because it would be a little creepy for someone you don't know to know all your problems with your mom and everything.]

Yeah. Definitely.

...So, have you figured out anything about how this house works yet? Honestly, I haven't looked at any of it yet... I just came here and sat down.

[orphean]

Not yet. [She pauses, thoughtful as she looks at the greyed space surrounding them.] I only just got a little situated before I saw you.

[takebow]

Me either... I guess we're supposed to have a room, too, but I haven't even figured any of that out.

...Not that I have any stuff to put there. I was just in school and... well, it's too real to be a dream, right?

[orphean]

...In school? [Here we go, mystery number two!]

[takebow]

.....In cram school, I mean. When I was... taken here.

[orphean]

Cram school? [Yes, that is also a question.]

[takebow]

...Uh-huh. I started going there a little while ago...

[Pause.]

Wait, so was what you were telling me, about what SEES was doing... is that the last thing you remember?

[orphean]

[She pauses, taking in a breath. Why doesn't this part add up either? What is going on here?]

Ryoji-kun... had just left the dorm. [That's all she says. She assumes Yukari will know what she means, and if she doesn't... then they've got another set of problems.]

[takebow]

...So, New Year's?

[She pauses.]

It was March for me. And for Minato-kun, too... [At which point her face shows clear signs of tension. Maybe even a little haunted.]

[orphean]

March... [There's a quiet shift in her tone. It's not hesitant; making it to March did signal something good had to have come from it, right? But Yukari's face indicates otherwise. But rather than make an issue of it, despite the nagging feeling that it's important, she offers an awkward smile.] It looks like we've got another odd mystery on our hands here.
