[OPEN] House Contest: Plates and Palates!

On the morning of Day 264, Travelers of Asgard will notice some changes made to each of the Gods' Welcome Halls.. Placards have appeared in all nine kitchens inviting them to another cooking competition! Only this time, rather than cupcakes, the gods want to see the finest entrees the realms have to offer. This can be virtually anything, from a simple pasta dish to a complicated foie gras, so long as it's handmade! Those that have moved out of the Welcome Halls are also invited to compete and groups are more than welcome to work together, but the rules state that Travelers may only work on dishes in their own God House.

As with previous cooking-related events the Gods have hosted, each kitchens will be set up with one of those handy magical tables: If a Traveler approaches it with an ingredient in mind (anything at all, even if said ingredient does not usually belong in a recipe!) the item will immediately appear on the table!

Once a dish is complete, contestants are instructed to place it at their patron's alter. The competition ends on the evening of Day 265, after which the Gods themselves will be tasting each dish firsthand!

[Jamie is not a chef by any stretch of the imagination, and while he can make some simple things, he hasn't really had to worry much about cooking the past few years. However, when he takes a look at the table, an idea does come to mind - and because he really has nothing better to do at the moment he decides to go for it.

It takes a bit, but eventually anyone wandering by will find him attempting to mince a small pile of cooked organ meats of various types. There's a few other things about, like a small bowl in which something or other has been set to soak, as well as a plate with turnips and potatoes sitting on it. However, he's ignoring those for the moment in favor of chopping things into itty bitty pieces instead, leaving those open for investigation.]

[Now who would be better to please Loki than Loki. And thats why he put cupcakes on the menu. Cupcakes with everything, and when Loki talks about everything he means absolutely everything.

Today he is making cupcakes. Or well, something that looks like cupcakes. And he's topping them with bacon. And syrup and there's a dash of ketchup to finish it up.

And actually, he has a lot of fun and it shows. He's grinning constantly and after producing a cupcake containing red pepper (that looks more like a giant blob than a cake) he is proudly putting them on display. Feel free to admire them and maybe he'll convince you to taste one of these abominations! (he will)]

She doesn't live in the Sigyn house, but when she discovers that there is a cooking contest, she immediately latches onto it. And so she is in the kitchen, humming as she chops up vegetables.

She is going to make the best fucking chicken pot pie you have ever put in your mouth.

[Euri isn't one for trying to impress the gods, not when she's been repeatedly disappointed and frustrated by them. But that doesn't mean she can drop in on one of her friends on her way back from work!

She's humming absently as she enters Sigyn house, sparing only a brief glance at the kitchen to see if there are any suckers actually cooking. She doesn't actually expect to see one of the Doctors there, so when she sees Eight she freezes.]

There is one person very aggressively enjoying the cooking opportunity. Now, to be fair, after the whole Venison Stew from hell incident, she's put the ventilation system over the burners on full-tilt so the scent isn't THAT strong. However, if you get close, it's potent, particularly as it's cooking.

She's blissfully at work, and samples are available for anyone brave enough, or stupid enough to try something. Only one of the foods she prepares isn't made with pure capsaicin. That's made with ghost peppers and just a little bit of the magic plants she uses to make poisons.

Equius grunted and stared at the food he was working on. He'd called ahead once he'd seen the announcements of a cooking competition, letting Kaworu know that he wanted to see him over at Freyr house. But, right now, this was all seeming like a terrible idea.

He'd put on deodorant, actual deodorant this time, and toweled off, leaving one on the stool next to his workstation. Since that time, he'd been working on a steak and potatoes, along with collared greens.

It was not going terribly well.
