Heterolifemate!
And finding it.
"Scott! Dude!" Come here, Scott. You were getting the hug of all hugs. A big Stilinski hug, because the Stilinski men had no problem showing manly affection. "You got sucked in here too? That's just... great!" Well, maybe not really, but at least Stiles wasn't here all alone with a homicidal Alpha.

"Dude, am I glad to see you." An extra pair of eyes to help look for Erica would be really useful right now. He couldn't let his happiness at Stiles' return distract him from finding the blonde, but he was definitely in a better mood now he knew his best friend was back. "I've been here a while now. Have you seen Erica?"
no subject
"And that would be a no, I haven't seen her."
no subject
"Allison's here too. So's Isaac, but he's in jail right now." He probably shouldn't have told Stiles that, since Isaac had told him to keep it between them, but Scott sucked at keeping secrets from Stiles. "Don't tell Erica where he is when we find her, okay? I think she's lost somewhere around here." He gestured for Stiles to walk with him while he looked around for any signs of the blonde. "I know she can usually take care of herself but she's different here." He clarified further, "She's from a different time. Before the bite."
no subject
"Who isn't here?" Jackson, which was a plus. No one wanted Jackson here. Lydia, which was a huge minus, especially if Jackson wasn't here. "Wait, why do you think she's lost around here? And what do you mean, 'before the bite'? They can do that?"
no subject
At the mention of Stiles dying, Scott gave him a look to change the subject. "Dude, shut up. I don't want to think about you dying." Scott would rather die than let that happen.
"She sent me a video of where she was and I think I saw Odin's library in the background," Scott explained. "The last thing she remembers from home is being in hospital after she had that seizure in gym class. She hasn't met Derek yet. But even if she came here after Derek bit her, it wouldn't matter anyway. The gods took our werewolf abilities so we're practically human again." Scott grinned a little because this was one of the few positive things about this place. That and the fact that he and Allison could be together without having to sneak around.
no subject
He held his hands up, giving Scott his own look back. "Fine, fine. No dying Stiles conversation. I'm totally on board with that and would like to get it in writing that that won't be happening any time soon."
The werewolf news was both a curse and a blessing. "Wait, so you're not all wolfed out anymore? That's... kind of a bummer, dude. Now what good are you?" He was teasing, grinning as he pushed at Scott's shoulder. "Hold on. That means that Derek's not a werewolf either, right?" He broke out laughing, clapping and raising his arms in victory. "He can take his threats and choke on them!"
Life sounded pretty good right about now. All he needed to do was figure out how to Charlie McGee himself and it was on. He dragged his mind back to the problem at hand, his arms lowering. "Erica's around here, huh? Pre-chomp and still epileptic? Did they fix that when they brought her here, or did they not care that explosions and flashing lights might take out one of their players?"
no subject
He rolled his eyes a little at Stiles' reaction to Derk being human. "Yeah, just because he's not a werewolf here doesn't mean you should antagonize him, okay?" He gave Stiles a warning look. Scott wouldn't have to warn any normal person but clearly his best friend liked to live on the edge. "The first time he was here he had super strength." Knowing their luck, he was probably back with the same power.
"Isaac is in jail for getting caught stealing medication for her, so does that answer your question?" he said with a bit of a sigh.
no subject
A finger came up, pointing at Scott. "I didn't start it. He did. Right back in with the treats like... well, like always." So what if Stiles had told him to go drink from a toilet? Dogs did it and lived. "I'll still set his pants on fire if he comes near me."
The answer had his head falling back, mouth open as a frustrated groan left him, a hand coming up to smack over his face. "Great. An epileptic and... whatever the hell's wrong with Isaac."
no subject
At the mention of fire, Scott eyed Stiles curiously. "Is that your power? Fire?"
no subject
He shrugged. "That's what they told me. I, uh, haven't really tested it because, you know, city." He gestured around them. "I don't know what might go wrong, but there's always a chance something could go wrong."
Horribly, horribly wrong. He'd seen Firestarter. He knew what was up.

Her arms folded across her chest, watching the crowd and trying to find him so that she could at least get back to Hel sooner rather than later. Isaac had ignored her text and she knew that much since he'd been talking to Derek. She just wanted to be somewhere else.
Thankfully, she actually heard him before she saw him. Well, to be more accurate she heard Stiles first. Cutting through the crowd, she stepped away from the steps and toward the sound of voices until she could get a line of sight on them. She waved, briefly, and then found her way to stand in front of them.
"Sorry, again. The whole..." Erica gestured over her shoulder to the library. "I thought I could just use the map, but I guess I'm still learning how it works."
no subject
He trailed off when he caught sight of Erica coming towards them.
"It's okay, you'll get used to your way around here," he told her comfortingly. "I actually have to go. There's something I need to do." Bail Isaac out of jail, to be specific. He reminded Stiles with a significant look to not say anything to Erica about where Isaac was. "Stiles will keep you company, won't you?" He looked at Stiles hopefully.
no subject
Then Erica was there and Stiles was surprised at the way she looked. He remembered this Erica; quiet, meek, unsure of herself and everything around her. He hadn't noticed her much beyond her being there until after she'd been bitten. Then he'd noticed her after she'd, you know, smashed his face in with his starter. Bitch.
But this was a different version of her. Before all of that. He looked up at Scott, surprised to suddenly have her passed off on him, but then he remembered his other problem. Isaac. Damn betas. "Yeah, sure. We can poke around and try to get our bearings together. Nothing at all wrong with leaving two veritable strangers alone in a sea of the unknown."
no subject
"I know where the library is." Which was her attempt at a joke, since that was about the only building she could find in this district.
Exhaling, she nodded, "Bye, Scott." She was still capable of being polite to people who were no doubt going to abandon her. She at least had the day at the zoo where things had been okay.
no subject
He didn't mean to make Erica feel like he was ditching her, he was just worried the longer he left Isaac in jail, the more likely he was going to get into more trouble, like by starting a fight with his cellmate...
Yeah, Scott seriously needed to get out of here.
"Later, dude! Bye, Erica!" And with that, he was rushing off to find the other beta.
no subject
He turned to Erica, hands shoved deep in his pockets as he tried to pretend this all wasn't completely and utterly awkward. "So... The library, huh? You live in Odin too?"
no subject
At his question, she glanced to him, "Oh, no -- I live in Hel, same as Isaac." She paused, giving herself a moment. "Sorry you got stuck with me."
no subject
"Why be sorry? Maybe you'll keep me from doing something that might get my head lopped off. Or worse." There was probably a worse. "Do you, uh, want to go back to your place?"
That came out so wrong. He tried not to show how much of an idiot he felt for that, asking instead, "I mean, do you want us to go back to your district? Or were you here for a reason?"
no subject
Erica pushed at her sleeve, touching to her bracelet. "It seemed simple and then it wasn't. Are you here in this district?" It seemed pointless for him to go all the way to Hel if he lived here.

Her glance was slightly skeptical, because even if he was trying to be nice and find out where things are, shouldn't he be looking for where he lived?
"You don't want to find your house first?"
