"Yeah, I guess." Erica really didn't think it was right to point out something like that, because she assumed wherever Jade was from, that was normal.

She followed when he pointed out a different way to go, not really wanting to make waves or suggest anything different. She was the one that had gotten turned around anyway.

Normal or not, it was an identifying feature, just like if she'd been a redhead or if she'd had freckles all over her face. There might be a dozen Jades in the city, but he could narrow it down by pointing out the most obvious feature. Besides, she hadn't reacted badly or been offended by him asking about them, so he didn't think anything of it.

This version of Erica was really quiet, and he remembered why he'd never paid much attention to her before hand; he'd barely known she was around because she seemed to try t blend in with the walls around her. "So, Isaac's in Hel too, huh?" Maybe that was why Scott hadn't wanted him to tell Erica.

She nodded, trying to keep her pace matching to his. She didn't want to fall behind or have him leave her. Erica was still trying to sort out how to even have these sort of casual conversations with people. She was used to being left out of things and having someone actually ask her questions directly, and ones that weren't pertaining to her health, was different. It was a good different, but she was still needing to adjust and realize that she could answer.

"Yeah, he's on the floor below me." Her hand tugged at her sleeve a bit, glancing ahead and trying to keep an eye on where they were going. "He's been here a lot longer, so he knows more about how this place works."

He wouldn't just wander off without her, no matter how tempting some of the booths looked. Part of him knew that she was a different version of the Erica he knew, that she was more fragile, less confident. He'd remembered the seizures and how helpless she was during them and since she was pre-bite, there was no way he was going to leave her around here to possibly have one with no one around who'd be able to help her.

Not that he had a clue what to do other than turn her on her side and just try to hold her through the worst of it, but he'd still rather do that than leave her out here alone.

"Yeah? You guys hang out a lot?" He wasn't sure what the dynamic was here. With the timeline seemingly off and all over the place, he wasn't sure how the relationships were working out here. But hey, as long as Scott was here with him, he figured he could make it, right? Right.

"Yeah, I guess we do. We went to the zoo the other day. There were fish dogs," she explained. It was mostly her trying to fill the silence because she knew if there was silence he might ask her something that she didn't have the answer to.

"They looked like Dachshunds with gills and they floated on their sides. Like ... a dog paddle. We were looking for Otters."

Okay. That was... odd. "Did they have otters?" Because a world with fish dogs but no otters would be a weird place. It made him wonder what else there might be here. Manticores? Chimaeras? Sphinxes? No, wait, weren't those all Greek myths? What did Nordic myths have? He couldn't remember.

"Oh, yeah," Erica replied.

"They were just regular otters. Well, River Otters, but nothing unusual about them. There were a lot of different animals." She shrugged, "We had fun, at least."

He supposed that was a good thing. Erica hadn't looked to be all that active in the 'wee, my life's a party' style of life before the bite, and she hadn't gotten much better after, since she'd jumped in during the fiasco with the kanima and the Argents.

"So there's a carnival and a zoo here. Anything else?"

She glanced behind her, gesturing slightly, "A library?"

She had been trying to find things when she got turned around, but heading back to Hel seemed smart in the moment. "Each district has something unique to it. Some of them are fun, like the carnival and then some places have... I think a bank."

"Right. So I get stuck in the district that doesn't have the water park. Figures." He couldn't really complain; a library would probably come in handy in trying to figure his way around this place.

"Were you looking for the library?"

She shook her head a bit, "Not really. I was just trying to find my way around, but I got a bit turned around and I kept finding the library."

It sounded silly now, mostly because she was sure it was mostly the people that were turning her around, especially now that she was going in the right direction.

Stiles pulled a wider view of the map up, looking at how each District was sort of like a wedge of the pie that was the city. "Maybe you just got caught up in the wrong streets."

He felt like saying something a little heartening. She looked kind of sad when she said that, like it was only natural. Hell, she looked like a kicked puppy and it made him feel bad. She shouldn't be here. Not this version of her. Not without that boost to her confidence.

She nodded, offering him a slight smile. She knew that he was just trying to make her feel better, but she had been on the receiving end of that sort of pity so many times that it was difficult for her to sort out if he was being genuine or not. She hoped it was, but she also knew that Scott had saddled him with her and now they were wandering around because she had gotten lost.

"Probably. There's a lot of people, too."

"Yeah, and some of them look like they jumped out of a classic movie feature and forgot to get colored in." That had surprised him when he'd seen it. It was like being in Pleasantville or some old fashioned movie, but the dollops of color made it seem more surreal.

A cart was coming their way and he grabbed her arm to stop her, stepping back to keep from getting run into. Habit, really, but he sort of expected a punch for it because, well, Erica.

There was no punch to be thrown, but on instinct she pulled away from him. Once she knew she was fine and that she had pretty much over-reacted, she sighed and decided to try and change the subject.

"We're supposed to help them feel things, earn their colors back. It's like a challenge or a task the Gods gave us." She shrugged, knowing it sounded like something out of a movie, but she knew that there were a lot of people working at it, so she wasn't sure if she'd ever actually be needed for that.

"Feel things? What, are you saying this is a city full of sociopaths?" Great. One large city full of Peters and Dereks. Shit.

He didn't take offense at her jerking away, reminding himself that she didn't know him like he was used to. At least he hadn't gotten punched or knocked out. So, you know, bonus.

Erica frowns. She hadn't considered them to be sociopaths and now that he's mentioned it she has to put at least a small amount of thought into it. Though, once she thinks about it, she realizes that it can't be true. They're supposed to help them, so she has to believe that they weren't always like this. Something had happened to them to make them this way.

"I don't think they're sociopaths, I think they just need help. The Gods bring people here for that and for help in their battles. I just don't know a lot about it."

"Okay, great. So they're possible of feeling warm fuzzies. How exactly are we supposed to make them feel that? Hugs and cocoa?" He had a feeling it wasn't as simple as that, otherwise there'd probably be a lot less grey people around.

Erica hadn't really figured out that part of it either. Isaac had mentioned it and she had seen them around, but beyond that she was definitely not the expert in the field of grey people.

"I don't really know. Like I said, I haven't been here that long." It wasn't that she didn't want to know, but this place can get a bit hectic and with all the other things that she was trying to accomplish, grey people fixing hadn't exactly come up on her list.

"Right, sorry." He shouldn't be asking her anyway. He felt like if she wasn't tangled up in the werewolf business anymore, he shouldn't really be jumping on her about anything to do with anything not... normal. That being said, she was here, which meant there had to be a reason for it, right?

This whole situation was making his head hurt. "So, um, you just wander around trying to figure out where you are?" Hey, it was a question.

Erica dismisses his concern, not because she thinks he's being overly nice, but because she just doesn't think it's a big deal.

"I don't know, I was just trying to see if I could find my way around easily. I can't just keep asking people where things are."

That made sense, and it was sort of why Stiles had been out in the first place. "You might want to look into carrying around a bag of breadcrumbs next time. Or maybe some string." The city wasn't exactly a maze, but when you had no idea where you were or where you were going, it was good ot have a sort of reference trail.

She offers him a small smile, "Yeah, maybe. The bracelet has a map. It's just I'm not very good with maps."

"I'm not so bad with them. Um... maybe I could give you a few pointers?" It would keep her from winding up somewhere she shouldn't be, possibly without anyone around to keep an eye on her in case she had a seizure. Conflicted he might be, he didn't want to have to hear about that happening again.

Her fingers tucked her hair behind her ear, nodding a bit, "That'd be good. I don't want to get lost all the time."
