What: Elizabeth's just walking her puppy pit Jack during a lovely sunny snowy day.

Where: around the city & then to the park!

[Elizabeth is enjoying the snow way too much & so is her new companion. the puppy hops from snow pile to snow pile, tongue hanging cutely out of his mouth. she can't help but follow suit & skip along with him. it's the first time in... well, it is the first time that's been able to enjoy the freedom of having fun in snow with her very own pet. she's not stuck in a tower, watching the snow fall, wishing she could one day be a part of the fun down below.

so here & now Elizabeth is taking full advantage of this day to enjoy it as much as she can. regardless of how silly a nineteen year old girl may look skipping through the snow with a puppy, she sure doesn't care. she's having fun & she's not going to let anything stop her from having it.]

mmm? Yeah, Pinch is my shop. [She waved at her and smirked.] You two look like you've been having entirely too much fun right about now. Not getting too cold, I hope.

[unchain]

An apothecary, right? It looks lovely from the outside with the snow. [Jack comes back, drying himself with a good shake.] I think we're doing fine. This little guy really has a liking for the snow.

[samantha_grey]

Right. [She looked back at it and seemed to consider its beauty for the first time. It wasn't something that she thought about much. Turning back, she shrugged.] I guess the snow does a good job of making it look wintery, yeah.

And you're friend's definitely the energetic sort, isn't he?

[unchain]

I imagine so. [she laughs.] Booker got Jack during Christmas so all he's used to seeing is snow. I think he might get a little sad when it melts.

[samantha_grey]

We never had pets. Mom wasn't sure they'd react well to the brimstone. But, I'd bet he'll be fine when it melts. It means he'll get to romp and play everywhere then.

[unchain]

That's true. [a giggle & she picks Jack up into her arms.]

You're just going to have to settle for grass once all of this melts.

[samantha_grey]

Oh trust me. He'll love the park when it's all free and green. And when he gets bigger, he'll be quite the guard dog.

[unchain]

I'm... pretty sure that's why Booker got him for me.

[samantha_grey]

[She leaned over the rail in front of her shop and grinned down at Elizabeth a little impishly.]

Protect you from all those monsters in the world like me?

[unchain]

That's what he likes to think. [Elizabeth returns that grin with one of her own.]

[samantha_grey]

Heh. Half his problem is I know one of the tricks to guard dogs, even when they don't like me. Give the dog a bone and I can probably sneak a few minutes of alone time with you, eh?

[unchain]

I don't see any reason why Jack won't like you. He seems to enjoy most people so far.

[samantha_grey]

[She got down to the bottom step and sat down there, patting her legs. She was always nervous. Animals could be unpredictable this way, cats especially. They seemed to know she was a predator, after all. Still, it wasn't always bad.]

Let's see. Come on over Jack...

[unchain]

[she crouches down, giving a little whistle.] Come here, Jack! Say hi to Samantha.

[the pup pops his head out of a pile of snow & dashes to Elizabeth.] Good boy! Come say hello to your new friend. [she picks him up & carefully places him on Samantha's lap.]

[samantha_grey]

[The puppy likely wasn't entirely comfortable. The scent was definitely of a fellow predator. However, it wasn't a cat, and she was pleasant in the way that she pet it, so along with 'mommy' seeming to like the woman things were going to be just fine.]

He is a cute little thing, isn't he?
