it's okay to be afraid [open]

Who: Clara Oswald + Ensemble (no really, it's open)
What: Post Friendly Fire stuff and things
When: Days 404 & 405
Where: Thor 103 & around
Rating: Probably will keep around PG/PG-13

The feeling of being off was gone, she could feel a tug and then things went back to how they should be, power wise. Unfortunately, the damage to her body was done due to growth working her insides over, and she was still left with hardly any life in her. She remains in her position outside in the gardens of Thor 103, leaning against a tree to keep her sitting upright. As day 404 breaks, she can hear life around her going on, and manages a tired smile. She thinks that if maybe she could get someone's attention, they just might notice her, and a healer would actually be able to help her now. She had been too afraid before, what with the powers going absolutely mad, but now...

Well. Maybe things stand a chance of working out.

Her mouth drops open, and she finds her throat incredibly dry and her lips cracked and pained. She just barely manages a few hoarse calls for help, but she realizes that no one is going to hear her over the sounds of the city getting back to normal, and with a soft sigh she resigns herself to shutting her eyes and drifting off.

[Mungo had been something that'd popped into his head just now, but he's not sure that suits either, really. He purses his lips slightly as he turns his attention back to the nug, who seems...well, Jamie has no idea how he seems. So he shifts his arms back a little, using them to prop himself up so he can lean back more comfortably.]

Not sure. How do ye know if one of the beasties likes something or not? They're, ah...well, they're not one of the more expressive beasties I've seen, unless ye count that noise they make.

[Izzy, though. Now that could be a possibility, but it's one that comes with a couple of questions, and he glances over to Clara, curiously.]

Izzy? Aye, maybe. But what makes ye think he's a girl?

Aye, it's definitely not a dog, that's for sure.

[But Jamie notices it seems to be responding to the affection at least somewhat, nestling in a little closer to Clara and bringing its head up to rest on her arm as if making itself more comfortable. Could mean it likes her, at least, and he's about to say as much when she abandons the idea of Izzy for the idea of Gulliver - and that drives the thought clear out of his head.]

I met Gulliver, ye know. When we'd wound up in the Land of Fiction.

[He eyes the nug again, chewing at his lower lip a little without entirely realizing he's doing so.]

Don't know about giving him the full name, but...what about just calling him Gully? Not as a nickname, just as his actual name? He looks like he could be a Gully.

[Well, that settles that. If Clara wants the nug to be called Gulliver, then that's what he's going to be called. Except when Jamie is feeling particularly contrary, more than likely. Then he'll probably be Gully for as long as Jamie can get away with the shortened version of the name.]

Suppose if both ye and Gulliver want to hear about that I can tell ye a wee bit about what happened.

[He peers down at the nug, considerably, then adds:]

You're a wee bit shorter than the other Gulliver was, I'd say.

[In fact, they'd wound up talking any longer than they did back in that place, Jamie rather suspects he'd have wound up with a crick in his neck. Luckily, that Gulliver isn't here for that to be a risk, and he can manage quite nicely with turning around to face the pair of them while he tells about this particular adventure.]

We'd not have even wound up in the Land of Fiction in the first place if the Doctor had listened to me about the lava, though. Or at least listened to me earlier than he did, but no, he and Zoe had to go on about how beautiful it was while the TARDIS was in danger of being buried alive in the stuff.
