Welcome to Lux —

It's been under construction for about a month, and anyone in the Baldr district (or who just liked to wander) surely would have noticed the bar's construction. It was only a few days ago that the sign was finally put up—Lux.

Maybe you saw the owner's post on the network and decided to come see. Or maybe you were just walking past and was curious about the crowd of people who had gathered. Regardless, you'll be welcomed into a ritzy bar and lounge. There are some locals mingling about, and jazz is drifting through the air, since the owner is currently playing.

Should you decide to stay, you'll find that the drinks and food are very generously half price for grand opening. Or, if that's not to your taste, then surely the music and crowd will make up for it.

Welcome to Lux, the bar owned by the Devil himself.

Here I was thinking we should share the bottle with some other people, but if you're so sure--! I hope you take your alcohol well, Euri... [ Though she says that, she's wondering what kind of drunk Euri is automatically hehehe. ]

We should go find a table though. [ Looking around. Wow, there's a lot of people here. ]

Perhaps? Why, are you worried that you won't get the chance to exchange stories with me?

[He tilts his head curiously at Johan. What an odd thing to say. But after a short pause, he speaks.]

How about this. You can ask me one, and only one question about me you want to know the answer to now, and I'll answer. All I ask of you is that you answer whatever question I have for you truthfully afterwards. If we start small, then maybe it will lead to better and bigger exchanges in the future. How does that sound?

[corks]

Oh, Euri.

[He smiles at her, pleased to see her out and about.]

You look nice as well...also, just wanted to say that you really sing quite beautifully. I've been listening to you all night.

[corks]

You're quite the busy little hummingbird, aren't you?

[Guess who's noticed you darting about talking to everyone in the bar? This very amiable-looking man, of course. He smiles and approaches, hands in his pockets, looking even slightly amused by the way she's been going around, examining everything.]

Have you been to many places like this before?

[corks]

It certainly is very strange, if you come from a place where nothing like this doesn't exist. I certainly don't blame you for feeling that way.

What power do you have, by the way? Out of curiosity. There are people here who are very helpful and can show you how to use it.

[He shrugs slightly.] A while. Around a couple months, I believe? It feels like much longer, oddly enough, considering time flew quite fast for me back home.

[Being immortal kind of did that to people, really.]

[She smiles in response, noticing the subtle change in his mood but misinterpreting it as something encouraging. There's a pause, before she asks:]

Could you give me a tour of this place?

[corks]

[Not in that way, get your mind out of the gutter. >:I]

Well, of course no one thinks like you do. There is no one that thinks like me either. [That cryptic smile grows, because really, it's true. No other god figures back home that he could relate his experiences with at all.]

What do you think of the gods, then? Are they actually gods in your mind, or just beings who call themselves that?

Damage drain. And you?

A couple of months... [She sighs a little.] It makes me wonder how long we're going to have to stay here.

[corks]

Healing. I'm in Sigyn house. Damage drain and healing are rather similar, though in the first case, I've heard, the user suffers for it...

[A thoughtful nod.] Whenever we win the war. There's no telling how long that will be, though. Could be a few months, could be years.

[Again Nina realizes how surreal this all feels. It was almost like she and Diva were speaking as old friends, as if Diva were her brother's girlfriend or her sister-in-law. Having such a normal conversation seems so strange to Nina, but it's not unwelcome.

There's a pause before Nina's smile fades a little, and she looks more serious.]

I am concerned about the party, though. It might be a trap or trick from the gods.

[madamemoiselle]

Do you think so?

[She looks surprised, taking a sip of her wine to pause, but just shrugs]

I guess it could be. The first one wasn't, but they weren't randomly killing people either... Ah, not that it matters, though, since no one really dies or anything here. But whatever. I'm not really worried about what they want to do, honestly. I don't bother keeping up with that stuff.

[Nina smiles when he says he's in Sigyn. It was the House that Nina would guess Dr. Tenma would be placed in, though she would never want him to come to such a dangerous world. He belonged at home, helping others and living as happy of a life as possible.]

There are many of us who are trying to find a way home. [And, with Johan here, Nina becomes more hesistant about returning to her world. She knew she couldn't leave him.] But, I wonder if it's possible to leave. I just have so many questions. If the gods are so powerful that they could bring us here and stop us from going, why do they need us in the first place?

[Nina smiles at Rapunzel's enthusiasm before approaching her.]

Hi, Rapunzel.

[corks]

Maybe it is, we just haven't found a way yet.

[He leans back slightly, running that question over in his mind.] Well, honestly, I would say it's because we have a purpose for being here. It's obvious that the gods cannot fight their own wars, so they must have brought us here to fight their wars for them.

[His gaze saddens slightly, because really, that was what he had done back home. He brought people to the island to win that eternal argument with his brother and to fix the mistake he had made all those years ago. Jacob was powerful in a way, yes, but even he couldn't solve such a problem like his brother alone.]

[Ever since she found out that Johan and Lucifer knew each other, Nina had been curious but hesistant to find out more about their relationship.

Nina's sitting nearby but far enough to keep her distance, glancing once in a while at his direction. She's trying not to look obvious, but it probably isn't working.]

I was actually talking about the color appearing then going away after that weird post.

[She listens to his words with interest.]

That makes sense, but I can't help but think we're here for a different purpose than what they're telling us.

Oh... I didn't really care that much.

[It wasn't, but luckily, Lucifer was also vaguely interested in her presence. He had first met Johan when he was dressed up as Anna, so her arrival didn't go without notice. It made a few questions about Johan come to mind, but also made things fit together in a more interesting way.

So after greeting a few faceless customers, he makes his way to her table, smiling lightly with the cool and distant charm of a seasoned businessman.]

Good evening. Would you like anything? I'll make it on the house, if you would be willing to oblige my company.

[corks]

[He tilts his head, curiosity piqued.]

Really? And what purpose would that be?

[imhome]

[She blinks in response, a little surprised he approached her. After a brief pause, Nina gives him a polite smile.]

Ah, sure. Thank you.

[imhome]

I'm not sure, but I have a feeling that whatever it is, it'll bring destruction or disaster.

[showmeanguish]

It's only a jacket.

It's an expensive jacket I had custom-made!

Then what can I get you? We have a fine selection of wines, though I would recommend the martini, personally.

[His eyebrow quirks just slightly, his tone becoming just slightly self-mocking]

Though that would be my own preference speaking.
