Welcome to Lux —

It's been under construction for about a month, and anyone in the Baldr district (or who just liked to wander) surely would have noticed the bar's construction. It was only a few days ago that the sign was finally put up—Lux.

Maybe you saw the owner's post on the network and decided to come see. Or maybe you were just walking past and was curious about the crowd of people who had gathered. Regardless, you'll be welcomed into a ritzy bar and lounge. There are some locals mingling about, and jazz is drifting through the air, since the owner is currently playing.

Should you decide to stay, you'll find that the drinks and food are very generously half price for grand opening. Or, if that's not to your taste, then surely the music and crowd will make up for it.

Welcome to Lux, the bar owned by the Devil himself.

[Now, those half priced drinks and food everyone keeps talking about sure are tempting. The food is upperclass bar fare, but the drinks are what's more impressive. The bartender will make you a great martini, sure, but you may be pleased to find your home's alcohol of choice amongst the drinks. If you ask how, the barman will just shrug. But that may have to do with the owner.

Non-alcoholic drinks are also offered, but adventurous teenagers will find that they'll be given a drink with no questions. Just don't get too drunk, since you might just get thrown out.

This is also the prime opportunity to chat up that person sitting next to you. I mean, just check out those legs...]

[Diva will be hanging around the bar most of the night, looking good in green, even if it's not her usual color. She'll be spending the evening chatting up anyone that comes to sit next to her and slowly knocking back glasses of wine. She learned from her first time getting drunk to pace herself...

Still, feel free to chat! Parties are her natural habitat, so she's feeling friendly.]

[ Johan has practically banned himself from sitting down tonight ( what kind of host would he be?), but does settle in to lean against the wall beside her chair, smiling over at her. ]

[Fran for one doesn't mind this particular butterfly hanging around the bar tonight; after all he likes chatting with attractive women. Even if they're vampires. Taking a moment from charming some other patron, he settled in front of her across the bar, he offered her a teasing grin]

You look settled in for the long haul, cherie. Why aren't you fluttering about properly? [a pause] I know that I am handsome but not nearly enough to keep you entertained for long.

[ It takes about half an hour, several circuits around the perimiter of the room, four "conversations" with the Faceless patrons, and a few with the others for Rapunzel to work up the courage to approach Diva - and not in the least because she looks so at home here.

No. It's Euri's warning that keeps her away so long.

And when she finally makes it there, to the point where speaking doesn't seem such a tremendous challenge, her smile is a pale shadow of anything she'd earlier shown. The really surprising thing, though, is maybe that - more than any traces of hurt or uncertainty - she seems, not fearful or overtly angry, but sad.

[ tonight, claudia looks like a far cry from the sixteenth century mistress she is: a beige, satin dress and an orange sash, made of satin as well, around her waist. she isn't use to her dresses cutting so short — just above her knees, but it isn't uncomfortable, either. high heels, on the other hand... she settled for a pair of flats.

currently, she is sipping a glass of some red wine and eavesdropping on the conversations around her. it's noisy, but lip reading goes a long way, too. maybe she should have invited someone from freya to join her... ]

[ Having watched her for a few minutes, Johan finally approaches -- trey in hand, and gives her a courteous bow before presenting a plate to her. ]

Good evening. Would you care for some calamari, or perhaps some tea lamb sandwiches? It's on the house, tonight. [ His smile warms a bit as he holds eye contact. ]

[Cue one bartender coming by to check on her to see if she needs anything! And also maybe to chat as well.]

[As it is the grand opening, Francis is settled behind the bar ready to serve. He's as pretty as the drinks (or so he'd like to think) he's more than able to make. After all, he is France.]

[ It's largely the aesthetic appeal that's drawn her to the bar; truth be told she wouldn't know a bottle of vodka if it tap danced into her face riding a dinosaur - but how is that any surprise?

[Jacob is neither eating not drinking, but he's looking with interest at the various drinks they have with a slight smile, bright blue gaze as calm as always. He's in gray today, and at least seems to be enjoying himself a bit over at the bar. He wasn't much of a drinker, honestly- he had tried various drinks over his lifetime, but he always found that the his favorite was always wine.]

[After a few minutes of quiet contemplation, he asks for a glass of chardonnay, and turns to lean against the bar so that he can stare out at all the people to observe what they're doing. After all, people have always held a lot more interest to him than alcohol has ever had.]

[ Johan sidles up beside Jacob, unnoticed -- until he drums his fingers at the bar counter to get his attention. ]

[Euri is still hunting down people she knows. She's had one or two drinks, so she's feeling nice and relaxed when she approaches.]

[Claire is off to the side just sniffing and fiddling with a cigar. Don't ask me where he got it from, because I have no idea.]

[As if she can ignore Claire ever...

Diva turns slightly in her seat to look at him, frowning]

Ugh, don't tell me you smoke cigars. What a gross habit. Cigars are the worst, you know.

[ Johan almost passed Claire by. Upon recognizing that flash of red hair as he had been about to retrieve more samples, he stops in his tracks and approaches him with his hands behind his back. ]

Claire. [ He eyes his attire, noticing how quiet he had been up until now, and wonders if the man recently sneaked in. ]

I wasn't aware you were coming. Welcome.
