Welcome to Lux —

It's been under construction for about a month, and anyone in the Baldr district (or who just liked to wander) surely would have noticed the bar's construction. It was only a few days ago that the sign was finally put up—Lux.

Maybe you saw the owner's post on the network and decided to come see. Or maybe you were just walking past and was curious about the crowd of people who had gathered. Regardless, you'll be welcomed into a ritzy bar and lounge. There are some locals mingling about, and jazz is drifting through the air, since the owner is currently playing.

Should you decide to stay, you'll find that the drinks and food are very generously half price for grand opening. Or, if that's not to your taste, then surely the music and crowd will make up for it.

Welcome to Lux, the bar owned by the Devil himself.

OUTSIDE LUX

[Naturally, it's busy outside the bar too. The locals had been drawn by the promised new nightlife for Asgard, either to participate or just to see what all the fuss is about. Maybe you're getting some air after drinking a bit too much, or maybe you're waiting to get inside. Either way, you're outside.]

AROUND THE BAR

[Now, those half priced drinks and food everyone keeps talking about sure are tempting. The food is upperclass bar fare, but the drinks are what's more impressive. The bartender will make you a great martini, sure, but you may be pleased to find your home's alcohol of choice amongst the drinks. If you ask how, the barman will just shrug. But that may have to do with the owner.

Non-alcoholic drinks are also offered, but adventurous teenagers will find that they'll be given a drink with no questions. Just don't get too drunk, since you might just get thrown out.

This is also the prime opportunity to chat up that person sitting next to you. I mean, just check out those legs...]

SEATING (MINGLING)

[If you don't feel like hanging around the bar, luckily there's comfortable seating as well. This is a better place to chat with people you know, and even people you don't know. After all, the bar has the problem of attracting the barflies.

This is also known as the catch-all mingling thread.]

BY THE STAGE (PERFORMERS/LISTEN TO MUSIC)

[The music isn't half bad either, and there's a fair variety of it throughout the night. Maybe you'd just like to sit and enjoy the music, or even chat with the performer after they've finished.]

TALK TO LUCIFER

[After performing for about an hour, Lucifer is taking a break to meet his patrons. Or, at least get himself a martini. It's hard to miss him, since the impressive and angelic wings on his back certainly make him easy to pick out in a crowd. And, for tonight, he's open to conversation.

Call it a good mood for his opening night.]

[Diva will be hanging around the bar most of the night, looking good in green, even if it's not her usual color. She'll be spending the evening chatting up anyone that comes to sit next to her and slowly knocking back glasses of wine. She learned from her first time getting drunk to pace herself...

Still, feel free to chat! Parties are her natural habitat, so she's feeling friendly.]

[Ann had heard about this place opening up, and while it certainly wasn't her usual sort of place, she had a feeling she needs to change her 'usual'.

So she's outside the the bar, pondering actually going in]

[Euri is looking damn classy tonight for her performance. She'll be singing jazz and slightly more traditional songs, all of which suit her range. And given how terrible and inelegant she is at most things it's surprising that she sounds so talented. Her voice is high and melodic and there's a raw, emotional quality to it that brings the songs to life.

After she's done her set she'll be hanging around, debating getting some wine and hunting down the people she invited.]

[Amongst those invited, Vanitas is hanging around a table by himself, at the front corner of the stage. He's decided not to dress up for the evening 'cause even though he showed up, he's not gonna put much more effort into looking classy, but had no choice but to get a bottle of mineral water since the other drinks... weren't too appetizing, all things considered.

And besides coming for Euri's performance (which he has to admit was more impressive than he thought), it's been a good opportunity to people watch.]

...The hell did she do to con you into coming here? [ says the idiot who actually...cleaned up nice for once sjkgjsk he's got the suit Rarity made for him on and his hair's combed and everything 8| and also like a gauze patch on one side of his neck but shut up ]

[ He knew her singing was good from all the practice she did around him but...gd Euri. The songs are actually pretty good aside from their....content....LMFAO. awkward. ]

[Nina's sitting alone at a table, eyes scanning the room. She's wearing a casual pale blue dress with a grey cardigan, and she looks a little distracted.

[She smiles, a little flirtatiously]

[That will never not be weird. She has to specify a year. o.O]

it's like awkward exes

[ Her eyes should eventually fall on Johan, who is making no attempt to evade his sister tonight. In his hand is a glass of champagne, which he seems to be holding a bit too tightly, stirring it every now and then. He's talking pleasantly with random faceless civilians, though some are partially-featured, though his eyes keep flickering over to his sister's image. ]

Never heard of it--but if it doesn't at least have places like this then you're missin' out.

[Another strange thing: people not knowing about London. So odd.]

What sort of entertainment and fare does this place provide? Do you know?

[ Johan slips behind the bar as Lucifer takes a seat, smiling sanguinely at the man. He's going to be making your drink instead, as a way to worm himself in for good conversation and to just be a good assistant-boy. ]

[ Johan has just finished shaking hands and greeting a couple of potential customers, when he recognizes the Englishwoman from the network. He is just going to watch her with vague interest, wondering if she'll actually enter. ]

[ Euuuuriiiiiiiiiiii! Instead of obviously letting Euri come to her, she'll approach her with a wave. She actually dressed up for this, okay. You know how long it took her to figure out how to do her hair?! Without knowing what she even wanted? But the point is, she's here and obviously enjoyed the performance and atmosphere quite a lot despite her usual hyped up demeanor. ]

So that's what you sound like... It was a-maz-ing!

[ Johan is outside the bar, currently, with a bouquet of roses that he's shamelessly handing out to random faceless women (and some men), offering them charming smiles and warm handshakes. And, of course, patrons are falling for it quite easily and entering in as customers shortly after. ]
