[ OPEN ] OH. What's Occuring?

Who: Your local forensics department, hospital staff, curious bystanders, others.
What: Scenario A: A regular day in the office (during a musical curse) | B: Out on the job.
When: A: Day 84 morning | B: Day 84 afternoon
Where: A: The forensics department office, third floor of the hospital attached to the laboratory. | An alleyway around a manhole in Odin district, close to the wall and the border with Thor.
Rating: PG13 for possible grisly details.

[two scenarios! I will post a scene-setting comment for both of them, please reply below the comment of the scenario you're taking part in, even if you're not replying directly to Conan. Thank you!

By the way, I encourage Forensics people to reply to both parts of the post, thread jack and jump around -- this is to get an idea of how our characters interact in their daily working lives! /o/]

[It's not the most formal office, especially as no serious casework is going on at the moment. She can head on in.

Apollo is reading while biting down on his pen, concentration visible on his face. It's not all because he's studious; he's trying his hardest not to hum the terrible Gavinners song stuck in his head.]

[ Heading on in it is! And since she can't tell he's trying not to hum a Gavinners song (which isn't so terrible, even if it's not her style, she pauses for a moment, not wanting to interrupt him in some important thought. Let's see if that little swish of white fabric catches his attention before the moment passes. (Or if he starts humming first.) ]

[The Gavinners' music is not good. At all!

As he concentrates more on the text before him--one of the scientific ones, and so, not his specialty--his control over that strange urge slips, and he starts to hum "Guilty Love" under his breath (not that it's an easy song to hum), and then more loudly.

He also doesn't notice anyone approaching.]

[ There's a tiny laugh she can't help at seeing him so oblivious, and once the sound comes out she may as well speak--she's likely already interrupted any train of thought he had. ] Ah, "Guilty Love"? That one does grow on you.

Oh-- [He turns, reddening.] Ugh, no, I can't stand that song! [All right, that sounded a bit harsh.] That is, I don't really care for it. It's been stuck in my head all day today, for some reason.

[Stupid Gavinners and their stupid songs.]

Anyway, hi! I didn't know you were there. Um, obviously. I'm glad you came by.

[He smiles, but this is still a little bit awkward, he has to admit.]

[ This is still really awkward, and Lamiroir is trying to straddle not imposing on her children (she couldn't ask anything of them, really) with her desire to see them. ]

If this is a bad time... [ An obvious, easy out. ]

No, no, not at all!

[He didn't mean to give that impression. If he did. His awkward feeling makes him flustered, though.]

I was only studying up. I don't have a science degree, and I've got a lot of catching up to do. But it's good to see you. Do you--want a drink? Or anything?

[ She laughs lightly, some of the tension easing from her shoulders. ]

You don't always have to play host, Apollo. I am fine. But I did want to see how you are. What is it you're reading? [ Not that she expects to understand it herself, but it might be a little easier to find some sort of subject to talk about. ]
